MegaGames Are Coming to PAX Prime (For Child's Play Charity!)

Hey guys! We here at the MegaGame Society are super excited to announce that we're running a MegaGame at PAX! We'll be running Watch the Skies, with all proceeds going to Child's Play Charity.
What's a megagame? A megagame is a giant game in every sense of the word, combining RPG elements and board gaming. This game will involve more than 60 people and run about 6 hours.
That's a lot of game... what's Watch the Skies? Watch the Skies is a game about a near future world where the nations of the Earth have to contend with the arrival of inscrutable aliens while they all follow their own agendas. Players play in teams as various nations, the aliens, or the news media. Hijinks and flying saucers ensue.
What's Child's Play? Just kidding, Child's Play is great. How are you raising money for them? We will be selling a handful of guaranteed spots in the game on August 12th at noon PST at http://bit.ly/1IVTNyp. All proceeds will go to Child's Play. (You can also just make a donation, if you're feeling generous! It all goes to the same rad place!)
Okay, this sounds really fun but that donation is a bit much. Can I still play? Of course! The majority of the spots in the game will be open to any PAX attendees with a Saturday badge. We'll be doing sign-ups on Saturday, two hours prior to game time at 10:00 am. (It goes the other way, too! We'll also be accepting donations on behalf of Child's Play the day of, so you can still donate, even if you don't get a guaranteed ticket.)
I LOVE MEGAGAMES AND WANT MORE! Yes! Megagames are GREAT. The MegaGame Society will also have a panel and a Q&A on Sunday at 1pm in the Cerberus theater, where we'll get into the what, how and why of MegaGames and toss out some sweet tips for running your own.
TL;DR Come play a huge game with us, PAX! Gonna be so fun.

Believe me I understand PAX time can be super busy, but maybe now that their are 4 days you spend a chunk of one at this. If not, play it at the next opportunity near you.

8 THINGS TO DO AT PAX (to prepare for your megagame)
1) Stand in the middle of the expo hall to acclimate yourself to a crowd of gamers.
2) Steal a sumo from the handheld lounge, so you have a throne in case you are declared world monarch. (Do not steal a sumo.)
3) Skulk around the Magic the Gathering tables to practice eavesdropping on other teams.
4) Grill the panelists at Q&As to prep for getting information out of reluctant world leaders.
5) Warm up by trading pins and pretending they're newly researched technologies.
6) Hang out with cosplayers while wearing a business suit. When someone asks who you are, shout, "I'M THE PRIME MINISTER!"
7) Compete in the Omegathon and make an arch-rival. Make sure you play in the megagame on different nation teams so you can feel sweet satisfaction when you nuke them.
8) Camp out in front of the Olive 8 to be sure you're first in line for the game Saturday. Or just get a guaranteed spot at bit.ly/1IVTNyp.
(Do not actually do any of these things, except number 8.)
As always, all ticket sales/donations will go to support Child's Play Charity. Because if you're going to go to war with Russia and a pack of aliens, you might as well help some kids along the way.
