Raise got messed up, can I ask for backpay?
So I've been working at McDonald's for three years now and the whole time I've been at minimum wage. Recently I was talking to a manager about it and he checked the system and it has me being paid $0.25 more since December but my paychecks still have me listed as $7.25 instead of $7.50 and I've been paid at $7.25 this whole time. They are working on fixing it but can I ask for all the pay I missed back? Or am I SOL'd?

It seems like that would be something they should pay back pay for since you were supposed to be making that money.
Also, just asking, but three years at minimum wage? Are you finishing school or looking for another job during that time? Cause that's atrocious.
I think you deserve it, but you need to feel out your boss. If you ask them, how will they react? Anger? Laughing? If it's the first one, I'd say avoid it completely and just take that $160 hit and keep your job. If it's the second, worst case you just get laughed at, best case, you get $160 in your next paycheck.
Personally, I'd advise you check your next pay stub closely, and be prepared to talk to your boss when the raise mysteriously didn't get added to the right system. But then, I'm a bitter cynical person.
Not as bitter cynical a person as me, because my first thought upon reading that was "Don't be surprised if they find an excuse to fire you soon."
