Hyper competitive is not mutually exclusive with not freaking out over things you can't control.
The game has feeders. The game has sore losers 1 min into the game. The game has some of the most toxic shitholes of any online game genre. It happens. It's part of the game.
If coming across those things makes you want to rage out, then maybe a MOBA ain't your thang?
, you're not new to the game. I don't get why suddenly coming across this was the straw? I mean, you're known for raging hardcore every single day about the game... but to quit? I dunno.
Because the MM has never been this bad. I've never had problems like my last month in over a year of 95% solo queueing. And some of the problems like AFKs totally ruining a significant chunk of my games still haven't been fixed by blizzard which are beginning to drive me totally insane.
It was mostly getting a leaver penalty for blizzard's terrible reconnect system and horrible isp that pushed me over the edge though.
So you're on tilt.
It's always been as bad as it is now, but your perception is off. Come on, every day you're in here flipping out about some bad player or some feeder or some terrible build. Every. day.
Step back and think about it. It's always been the same.
No, looking at my MM and record, it's objectively worse. MMR in my games is all over the map and this month I've had more 7+ loss streaks (4!) than I've ever had. Two this week even.
Most people are fine and most people play the game well (enough). If you find yourself in a place where all your teammates are horrible and everyone's a jerk........it's probably your own attitude that needs fixing, not the rest of the world. That goes for video games, sports, work, school, and every other social interaction.
Did anyone/everyone else know that you can bounce Blessed Shield off forts and towers?
Context - HL match where we engaged pretty hard, came out 4v3 and I was backing off cuz I got mauled a bit. Enemy Zagara and Karl were fleeing with almost zero health, but I figured I could get a pick with Shield because my ult came off CD near the end of the fight. So I went fishing with it hoping my (still fairly healthy) teammates could get another kill... the shield hits zag, bounces to a tower (and maybe to the fort as well? Haven't watched the replay) and clips Karl... teammates mop up both stunned enemies.

Could it be possible you got reported by past allies and are in that crappy realm of getting grouped with folk who rage quit / feed, etc?
I know they said this was a thing and I don't think there's any flag to tell you you're in the toxic pool.
I still have to get 2 more levels before I can do HL which I'm looking forward to. I need to pick up one more hero by then as well. I've got 3 support (Malf, Tyrande, Uther), 2 tanks (Muradin and Diablo which was given for having Diablo 3), and 4 assassins (Illidan, Raynor, Valla, and Kael'Thas).
Should I pick up a specialist (probably Sgt Hammer or Sylvanus) or should I pick up a reliable 2nd tank (Johanna probably)?
Sylvanus is a really strong pick and can straight up win the game at the draft on certain maps. I would highly recommend her if you don't have a specialist.

Yup, I knew this! It's actually gotten me a few kills because my target was JUST out of range but close enough to a wall or whatever.

Also @Knight_ I've been reading over your posts, and, man I dunno what to tell you.
You might want to take a step back and ask yourself if the problem is the game, or if the problem is you.
Yes, the matchmaker ain't great, but it's gotten better. Honestly Hero League is better than it's ever been lately with the recent changes, I find myself getting good close games, both ways. QM is a grab bag of course but I've had a generally favorable winrate, evened out. Sometimes I get really awful nights where I go 0-3 or 0-4 because I get a string of bad teammates, but those are the times where I tell myself to stop playing and do something else.
You really, really gotta learn to just let things roll off your back, dude. I say this as someone who used to get as angry as you about this stuff. Spoilers: It drove me insane and it ate me up from the inside. I learned to stop caring as much. I learned to let things go. I learned to just go with the flow.
I still very much care about winning, I am a rather competitive person, but I learned how to take my losses. No single person is ever going to have a 100% winrate, or even probably a 90% or 80% winrate. It's just not gonna happen! You're gonna lose games! Most people have an average of 50% or so. It evens out over time. You get a bad string of losses one day and an awesome string of wins the next. According to hotslogs, I've played ~650 QM games or so, I'm in Diamond league, but I still only have a 53.5% winrate. Them's the breaks, man!
So again, you need to step back and ask yourself: Is the problem with the game? Or is the problem with you?

If you like tanking, grab another... either Leo or Johanna... Leo is more of a bruiser, but he's very stronk currently and balances out his lack of real CC (keep in mind he might be getting adjusted sometime soon, completely unconfirmed rumors tho).
Johanna is a fantastic tank with a great toolkit and she works with lots of comps. She's becoming one of my most played heroes just because I can have such a strong effect on a match with her. Good lane clear, awesome counters with her blind and move/stun condemn and her ults are great as well. Just really strong overall.
If you want a specialist Sylv can be a real game changer on some maps (I personally don't like her playstyle, but a lot of people do).
And lastly Nazeebo is a great overall pick right now. He does heaps of damage and is pretty easy to get a handle on... throw all the spiders and watch them murder your foes.
Hammer is a lot of fun, but she can be countered super hard.
So I don't know if this is legitimate because I'm at work and can't open the link embedded in the reddit post.... but there's a Morales ability list that looks like it's from gamespot...
Basic Abilities
Healing Beam (Q): Heal a single ally every half second for as long as they remain near you. Pressing Q allows you to reselect your target, or you can cancel the channeling by activating your trait. There is no cooldown on this ability.
Safeguard (W): Reduce the damage the targeted ally takes for three seconds.
Displacement Grenade (E): Throw out a grenade that explodes as soon as it comes into contact with an enemy, dealing damage and knocking nearby enemies back.
Heroics
Medivac Dropship (R): Select a spot to travel to, causing you to enter a dropship. Teammates can then join you, and after four seconds, you'll travel to the chosen area.
Stim Drone (R): Select an ally to receive a 75 percent increase in attack speed and 25 percent additional movement speed for ten seconds.
Trait
Caduceus Reactor: After going four seconds without taking damage, regenerate 3 percent of your max health every second.

If that's real, some of that seems extremely boring.
Her trait is literally just a better version of Muradin's, her E is practically the same as Tychus's Grenade.
The Stim Drone Ult seems fucking ridiculous though (75% attackspeed for 10 seconds, get the fuck outta here).
Call me crazy but I still don't know about this. Gamespot, sure, but they don't even list a source. So forgive me for being skeptical, but until an official source from Blizzard pops up, I ain't believing it.
Edit:
After offering a look at some of her (and other characters') upcoming skins earlier this week, Blizzard today detailed Heroes of the Storm's Lt. Morales, the Medic unit from StarCraft.
Lt. Morales is available beginning today on Heroes of the Storm's public test servers, meaning she should be available in the live game soon.
Or... maybe this is legit and they simply posted it ahead of time. Hrmmm. OR MAYBE NOT WHO KNOWS.
So one of two things, this article was supposed to go up next week (Tuesday?), because I fucking doubt they'd just slam Morales up on PTR today, or this entire thing is fake. Again, who knows.

Just like, that trait is so unbelievable. Its literally muradins. I don't know anything about SC so unless that trait is just thematic to the character it is based on, that would be a really sad trait if these are real.

Whatever, Muradin's trait is awesome, I'll take it. I think not every new character is supposed to be complex to play, they need to add good beginner heroes too once in a while.

Yeah its not so much that its too simple, its unoriginal.
If we can expect near copied traits to be the norm, that could get a little boring down the line.
The trait would make more sense if it could be activated to be used on someone else. Or activated to be used on yourself. The description of the "Q" mentions activating your trait. So, I'd go with activated and targeted on the trait.
EDIT: also, on the stim drone, compare to Rhegar's ult, which affects your entire team, and eventually the entire MAP, has a short cooldown, and still isn't picked. This only affects one person, and comes at the expense of dropship. So, pretty big deal imho.

I dunno guys. I know it's basically just Muradin's trait.
But a healer that is essentially immune to poke damage seems like she will really mix up the meta. I also wonder if Morales is unable to channel her heal beam on herself and her trait is there to make up for the lack of self-heals.
I'm less upset about her trait, and more upset that her grenade is just Tychus's grenade with assumingly less damage.
Now. Before we get all worked up over nothing, there are some really cool possibilities they can do with Talents to really differentiate her.
Like, what if they have a talent called "Flashbang" that gives her grenade the ability to Blind all targets caught in the explosion radius?
What if her Trait has a talent that adds Mana regen when out of combat?
I'm just making these things up on the fly here, but if I can think of it in 2 seconds, you can bet that these ideas have come up in character design meetings.

If the grenade skill is indeed real, since it explodes as soon as it impacts with an enemy and not the ground, it would be cool if it does damage+pushback to an enemy or AoE heal if it hits an ally. Something to differentiate it.
The passive is honestly kinda nice. When I play Malf or Li Li I hate when my heals need to go to me instead of team mates and that could help mitigate it.
Q says "activate trait to cancel", trait has no mention of being anything but passive.
So there's that against the list.
That, uh, isn't a mark against the list. "Activate trait to cancel" only really works if the trait is passive. Otherwise the use of your non-passive trait is interfering with your Q.
And yes, the point of the trait would be to give her some way of healing up since she maybe can't self-target Q.

I'm more surprised there is no healing heroic. And the wording on those abilities seems... odd.
And Safeguard? Three second damage reduction.... so a crappy shield?
They specifically said she'd have an ability using her actual shield. I don't know. Seems fake.
Q says "activate trait to cancel", trait has no mention of being anything but passive.

Well, yes it is. If it's a passive, it auto-activates after 4 seconds and doesn't shut off until full, meaning your Q always turns off about instantly unless you're taking damage. "Unable to heal while not being hit" is kinda... Crappy?
If the trait's active, and assuming a mana drain on the Q, then trait activation lets you stop healing/spending mana. So, it could be an activated trait that when turned on does what it says, and your tradeoff is "use Q" or "heal self". But exactly as written, it doesn't work out well.
I think that trait is fine. Even if that Gamespot leak is entirely accurate (the grenade does seem boring) I'm still SUPER EXCITED to play her.
No sure yeah, like my own subjective feelings aside about her Trait/Kit being boring/recycled, she looks strong overall. Seems like a good kit.
Her Trait means she will be pretty hard to kill as she can just stay in the backline and heal right up. Her Q says it heals every half-second and you can retarget it, so it seems like you got some nice spot healing/triage going on. Her W and E seem pretty strong on paper.
If this is her kit I think she'll be pretty dang strong, but we also haven't seen any talents yet. Very interested in what those might be.
4 seconds before the transport ult firing off seems kind of excessive, you could almost just mount up and cover the map in that time.
Try and traverse a large map from bottom to top and tell me it only took 4 seconds :P
Medivac seems like it could have some good application, but simultaneously I'm also a bit disappointed that she doesn't have a straight up Healing Ult.
The easiest way to check the validity will be to just get on the PTR and have a look. The article is published with today's date (the 24th) and says that the Medic will be available on the PTR today. So I bet by 8pm EST (5pm PST) the PTR should be up and running.

Oh my god this isn't complicated. The trait does whatever it does all the time regardless of what you do. IN ADDITION TO THAT, when you are using your Q, you can press D to stop it. Pressing D does nothing else whatsoever, no matter what.
That's it.
