If the Twitch booth is anything like they were purported to be at East, there is probably another way to guarantee yourself a pin. Basically either trade for or purchase a high value rare pin, and trade that sucker directly with the booth staff. The pinquest announcement only accounts for 400 pins, and if the minimum pin order remains 1000, there are 600 pins unaccounted for. The are probably at the discretion of booth staff to distribute. I'm kind of loath to really suggest this method, as in my opinion it goes against the general ethos of the pin trading community, but if you are desperate for a Kappa, it'll probably work. :(

Agreed with @Pax_Skeletor. The booth staff at East were very well aware of the value of their pin and those that were willing to trade (as opposed to the majority who just stared smugly at us) were asking for an outlandish deal.

That's crappy. Stuff like that is why I have no inclination to ever keep a Twitch pin, regardless of worth, perceived or otherwise. <grump>

For the Giagantic (Motiga) pin they ae having you play the game five times to get it. Has anyone finished this? How long is the line usually, and has anyone found a better way to get it?

Takes an hour to wait through the line and play the game... So it's essentially a 5-hour timesink pin.

The statements I made that you quoted were when I suspected they might have a merch lite, but that had not been announced yet. Here's the updated deets as of today.

Just like at East and South, Merch Lite will be the only place to get the Limited Polygon Pins.
The rest of the merch is planned to be split between the two Merch Stores, at least to start. As stock shrinks they might consolidate.
They are shooting to open at 9am. New things always take some adjustment.
It will be in the Sheraton Lobby 1st floor, to the right as you are facing the front desk near some conference room there. Scout it out Thursday if you want so you know where to go.

Main Merch will have everything except Polygon Pins
It will open at 10am when the show doors open.
It will be located in the usual Prime Merch location, 4th floor south lobby across from 4A entrance.

There are some sweet new shirt designs that will be making their debut at both Merch's this year, and they might go fast.

Im confused. This previous year at pax east, i was able to get the LE Polygon pin at the main merch booth. It was the one upstairs right above the show floor. Was I not supposed to get it there or can I line up there again next east and expect to be able to get it there as well. The lite booth at east was inside on the show floor so you couldn't get in until it was open.

I second this! I was able to trade a twitch booth worker for the glitch twitch pin at east this year. Traded him the sheriff badge from pax south. I was so happy since I was trying all weekend to get one and this literally happened 20 minutes before the floor closed on sunday. If you are reading this twitch guy, I thank you for life.

Can someone post a pic of the fallout pin? Also, do you think they will put extras online?

If they only made 1000, then they will not be online. They are almost certainly completely sold out.

The last day I took a selfie to get mine. A gamble because I went into the last day without one, but I got it. Plus, I actually really enjoy that game, and that's one of my favorite pins from the show.

As did I, after playing it 4 times over the first 3 days of the con, since they were adamant it was the ONLY way to get the PIN.

Stuff like that, plus the $50 US cost of 4 portal pins is making me seriously consider getting out of the hobby.

Yeah I'm pretty fed up with We Love Fine's pin pricing, it was bad enough at East when the $45 included tax. Frankly though there will always be some pins that are unreasonably more expensive than others and some that are illogically harder to get, that's just the nature of collectible hobbies. Personally I didn't have too much issue with the way Motiga handled their pins. Was it kinda unreasonable to expect us to demo the game 5 times? Yeah, but they also provided other ways to earn their pin as long as you were attentive, plus asking other people if they were keeping their cards or not was a fair way to collect 5 as well. That's just acquiring the pins though, and there will always be some people who are willing to go though whatever lengths needed to get the pins they want. That's where the trading comes in, the majority of our hobby here and what makes us such a great community.

TL;DR: If pins are too hard to get, you can always trade for them, and that's kind of the point of Pinny Arcade anyway :)

I thought the only purpose was to buy them and throw them in a box since I can't display them all.

Another year of Prime gone by... commence the struggle!
