I'm playing a Lightwarden Priest deck that focuses on healing combos with shadowboxer. All the new inspire cards are really going to add to this desk style. My biggest problem is not having targets to heal and I was thinking of crafting shadowbomber for that. But with TGT there is a cheaper injured Blademaster to get the board going earlier.
One great win condition is pyomancer+circle of healing*2 on a full board when you have a couple of lightwardens out. Thank god warsong commander is warrior only.
This game is not very friendly to people coming back after a long break (over 1 year). Any suggestions other than paying for the new cards that people keep playing (I'm looking at you Dr Boom)? Low cost decks doesn't seem to have changed all that much with the expansions/patches.

You'll definitely want Naxx and BRM. Other than that you've pretty much got it, I think.
do you think you could drop a war for it? it's an insane card but does have tthat dragon requirement to really do what you want it to do.
4 less health on the taunt is a lot for a maybe board-clear, but then again a silence hurts ... less? idk you don't lose the health but you lose the maybe-clear
I think that's a card that's harder to judge than it looks. right now I feel like it's insane, and in a truly defensive deck, like if the druid dropped combo entirely, I could see putting it in for boom, but that might be my own excitement and admitted inability to predict card power well.
It is the only tech card that exists for druid against Patron. I was thinking about a dragon druid deck, and I think something like this could work:
Not sure about living roots over wrath, it also might need a sludge belcher somwhere. Without the combo, you have to push for the lategame to stabalize, so a healbot might be warranted as well.
On balance though, this deck seems pretty strong if it can survive the early game.
I'm not 100% sure about double Nourish. One on its own would be fine, I think? I'd drop one for maybe a Sludge Belcher or a 2nd Ancient of War? Could even drop both for a single copy of Combo. The singular Twilight Drake seems a bit odd, you could maybe drop that for a Wrath (or have double Wrath and one Living Roots). Looks pretty solid though.

I came back about a month ago after a year away.
Get yourself Naxxramas and at least the first wing of the Blackrock Mountain adventure. Assuming you have a decent amount of the original classic set (as I did) you'll have all the pieces for Patron Warrior (current OP deck that is dominating ladder).
Specifically this list from Lifecoach (spoilered):
2 x Inner Rage
2 x Execute
1 x Shield Slam
2 x Whirlwind
2 x Armorsmith
2 x Battle Rage
2 x Fiery War Axe
2 x Slam
1 x Unstable Ghoul
2 x Acolyte of Pain
2 x Frothing Berserker
2 x Shield Block
2 x Warsong Commander
2 x Death's Bite
1 x Gnomish Inventor
2 x Grim Patron
1 x Emperor Thaurissan

I would swap Shield Slam for Unstable Ghoul unless you're already legend or playing in tournaments. That card is there for the control matchups and the ladder is aggro as fuck right now always.
Yeah I can confirm control warrior is good times right now

face hunter is so annoying because you're like "they only have two cards in hand, no way they have lethal" but they always do because their entire deck is nothing but burn and two owls

The more I think about it, the more I think Varian doesn't have a place in current control warrior. He's frankly too slow; by the time you're dropping fatties, it's to either put on pressure or be playing cards like Nefarian/Ysera.
Also, the current control warrior has a ton of battlecries. 2x Cruel Taskmaster, 2x Shieldmaiden, Alexstrasza, likely BGH (although I may cut him), maybe Harrison, probably TBK after TGT comes out and 2x Sparring Partner (another battlecry) is common. That's some serious anti-synergy.
I think there will be a Varian deck, but it will be a very slow warrior that's more like a ramp Druid.

Can't drop the drake unfortunately, you need a certain threshold of dragons for consistency and it's the best of the remaining bunch unless you want to play Alexstraza, Malygos, or Faerie dragon.
The second nourish is definitely a flex spot - you could put in a belcher, a healbot, or or maybe a savage roar there.
I think this is a deck that doesn't want combo to be honest with you. Combo takes up valuable space for dragon synergy, and the list is really tight. Maybe the roots can go but I think you need some early game disruption; they could be wraths instead.
I haven't worked out the "core" of the deck yet to have a shell template. But I'll have one pretty quickly once the expansion actually hits.
Yeah, varian warrior will necessitate rejigging control warrior, I don't think he can just be plopped in

Three polymorphs in this arena deck, but conveniently none of them are present when my opponent plays the Malorne he got from webspinner followed by Highmane :rotate:
edit: drew all 3 by turn 4 against the next mage :rotate:
Playing the brawl it finally hit me that mages with an additonal 2 removals in the form of polymorph boar is going to absolutely suck ass.
Its also way more versatile than just removal. Silence their Mana Wurm? Boar it! Things of that nature. I think its actually one of the most versatile cards in the coming set.
Edit - on a related note, it does summon an entirely new minion. So you could, for example, attack with a minion, polyboar it and attack again. Really strong finisher imo.

Also 3 damage for 2 mana, 4 damage for 3 mana and 6 damage for 4 mana. That's a lot of damage to face.
Edit: Are there any decks currently being run that don't leave you feeling fucking impotent when you fail to get the draws you need? Presumably some manner of lock deck.

You can, if you build it conservatively like Dragon Warrior. Early game removal and board nukes (pyromancer is king), belchers, a smattering of late game dragons, possibly azure drakes, and Corruptors. You basically play dragon decks for the Corruptors right now, so as long as you can activate them you have a dragon deck.
I would swap Shield Slam for Unstable Ghoul unless you're already legend or playing in tournaments. That card is there for the control matchups and the ladder is aggro as fuck right now always.
Depends on rank and server though. At rank 12 Europe at the moment there's a fair amount of control running around.
But I do have an alt. list for when I run into Aggro city again.

Someone on reddit made their own expansion, and there's some pretty interesting stuff in there. I particularly like these ideas:
My card text idea is "this is always the last card in your deck." I don't even know what kind of card I want it on, I just like weighting the deck so you can calculate better odds when you're digging for answers.

"Fatigue Damage heals you instead of hurts you; This card is always the last card in your deck."
You know, I was going to say such a card would be totally useless in anything but a fatigue deck, but that could actually be really powerful in combo or aggro decks because it's effectively lessening your deck size. It's at least one card in your deck that's guaranteed not to be a dead draw at an important situation.

The opposite of that: "This card is always in your starting hand."
But what happens when you put two copies of this into your deck?!
I guess in my head I just assumed it would be a class legendary. But everything I see filters through priest, where half my games go to fatigue.
So I just had a quest for shaman and I netdecked up a mech version to get it done. I did some incidential damage heading into turn 4, when I dropped the whirling zappomatic. His turn 5, he plays a kodo to kill my totem and passes. I double rockbiter and lava burst for lethal and get an immediate friend request. He immediately launches into a tirade, calling me a cock sucking netdecking f****t. Now, what I want answered is, how did he know I was netdecking? He saw like, 5 cards total, and some of them were duplicates. I mean, the rest of it was probably all lucky guesses, but netdecking? I think my house is bugged.

I'm pretty sure that "netdecking" is what people say when they really want to hurt someone. You could have something weird and uncommon, like an aggro priest deck, and people will still inform you that you're netdecking if you beat them.
I'm pretty sure that "netdecking" is what people say when they really want to hurt someone.
Which is stupid, because I, like many, don't give a shit.
People play this game for all sorts of reasons (Creative, Social or just plain winning), people should stop trying to force their ideals of how the game should be played on others.
Finally managed to claw my way back to Rank 5 with this deck:
Sweet, sweet mage reach. If you're not running something super optimised it really is the best class for utility and general midrange shenans, plus Esportal is ridiculous bullshit.

The idea that taking your decks from the Internet is somehow bad is completely preposterous.
That's the best way to learn how to play the game and and ultimately how to craft your own decks.
I've gotten slapped down at the top of rank 6 at least 10 times, I want to cry. Is this my eternal punishment for climbing with face hunter?
I got slapped down three or four times playing Patron Warrior, but I just win-streaked my way into rank 5 with the third win being a Face Hunter who had 1-durability Eaglehorn Bow and an (obvious) Explosive Trap in play against my Armorsmith, Acolyte, and Unstable Ghoul. His turn five went:
