Talk about [Wrestling] While I Plot My Escape From Disneyland
Never forget that 2 years ago the WWE network transitioned away from the shattered husk of John Cena's corpse after being taken to Suplex City with this bumper.
What I want to know is how did the bell ringer see Taker tapping?
I was expecting the camera to flip around and show Jon Stewart as the bell ringer.
Like that's my biggest problem here, how did he know to ring the bell. Brock was protected well and Taker had to rely on cheating to win which is fine but man WWE had to know that ending would be negatively received.
The contrast between the show today and the NXT show yesterday could not be more apparent. And it is a REAL BUMMER.
Both were excellent shows.
I liked the NXT show more, but I'm not saying Summerslam was terrible. I'm saying that, there is a huge difference between all clean finishes and having some poorly done (imo) screwy ones, especially for the main event and ending of the PPV. Add on to that how they booked the women, and I just came away with a bad feeling instead of being super pumped (even though the women's match for NXT should have been the main event).

Meh. I think the emphasis on clean vs "fuck" finishes is a little overblown sometimes, at least in terms of the quality of the product. Yes, that ending to the Main event of the show was fucking dumb, but overall the match was still very good.
+1

After NXT Takeover I will say this. Simon Gouche really comes off like if they let Santino be serious. He's got an eclectic offense that is just kinda unique among the roster. I for one will sign all the petitions that they never break up the Vlaudvillians.

YMMV, but I think that contrast is a bummer!
WWE wants us talking about the finish whether it's negative or not.
Well the ending to Summerslam turned most against it.
Those people are silly and think silly things. Seriously, there was so much good going on and yet the ending of a non-title match ruins all of it? Excuse me while I blow raspberries at that method of thinking.

For me personally I didn't like the finish but it didn't ruin the show at all. It's all about the aftermath now.
Okay so I left the bar before Brock/Taker finished up
What happened that was so bad
a fuck finish that made both of them look bad
Brock had Taker in a kimura lock and Taker tapped out which made the time keeper ring the bell but the ref didn't see the tap out and started arguing with the time keeper and while that was going on Brock was watching all confused and Taker gets up, low blows him from behind, puts him in the hell's gate, lesnar refuses to tap, gives taker the finger, passes out, match is stopped taker wins.

What if Russo's back with WWE?
I was expecting the camera to flip around and show Jon Stewart as the bell ringer.
He gets his defiant finish this way? Well okay
An even more defiant finish would have been him manhandling Taker
I was expecting Taker\Lesnar to be tedious but what I got was a vast improvement from my preconception.

The fans are stupid, they'll never question it!
You should, it's pretty fucking good.

They had a feud continue at a time when they didn't want either guy to lose right now
Which begs the question "why did they bring the feud back now, instead of months from now when they'll actually want someone to lose"
He's not
He'd have had Stewart pin Cena and win both belts during the interference
Which now that I'm thinking about it would have been amazing

There we go.
I think this is setting up for the retirement match at Mania. I understand why they went with a Dusty finish, but I'm not sure it was needed.
I then looked up the results for the other matches and saw John screwed John and am totally baffled.

But if this hadn't fumbled the Divas match and the ending to the main event it probably would have taken it

I want to make sure everyone pays attention to this, because it is indeed great.
"How did they get his entrance music to play? There's nobody here!"
It would help restart the Diva Division down there.
