Heavily drops the framerate bit that could've been me streaming too so not entirely sure. Definitely a performance hit with slowdown, worst I've seen it in the game to date bit then given the scope of the chaos going on all around, it's not entirely unexpected the console would struggle.

I don't have the DLC and it's still terribad for me. Much much worse than it was before the update. Then again that might be to do with the fact my leaderboards are finally working properly and it's getting a lot of feats and challenge score notifications.

Well, shit... "Good news, guys! We improved loading times! By the way, we fucked the frame rate..." I honestly would have preferred they left it alone.
edit:
I played around with this last night. The patch did substantially degrade the performance, especially in the capitol city and towns. I did seem to get a fair amount of it back by running the game in offline mode, but that might just be perception. Hell, it's worth a shot.
Bought this on sale.
Mostly a nice game.
Flight and boat controls are horrible, car controls are merely bad (keyboard and mouse).
But apart from that, it's fun, wingsuit especially is pretty neat, though i'd love a minimap to tell me where enemies are (they somehow keep shooting me through mountains of car wrecks, and keep teleporting just behind me).
Load times are terribad though, and the bug where lockon missiles stop being lockon if you have aim mod for your guns on is stupid, how the fuck did that get past beta?

tried using xbox controller, which was marginally better (for fighter jet), but mine controller is broken so it keeps ignoring commands so went back to KB+M
The framerate is so bad on Xbox one that I'm honestly waiting until next year when the Scorpio comes out to play the season pass, with the possibly erroneous hope that the performance will increase to playable levels on that system

The frame rates fine on PS4 but the load times are terrible. Hoping the Neo will help out with that.

Just Cause 2 Multiplayer was so much fun. I apologize to everyone who I ever accidentally launched into the stratosphere in the back of a flaming tuk-tuk.
I can only imagine what sort of goofy shit people are going to get up to once JC3MP is finally released.

Just started this and the damn checkpoint system is already bugging me damn console ports! PC games need to include manual-exact-state saves damnit. Freaking PS3 games ported to PS4 have them now (or at least 1 does...). Hope the rest of the game is as fun as 2!

Exactly one year after the initial development blog on JC3:MP we are now finally able to ship our very first public version. After hours and hours of developing, testing and keeping all of you up to date we are extremely happy to celebrate this release with you.
First of all, we would like to say "thank you" to all our testers and all the various YouTubers sharing our development: You have have always been supporting us in the background since the first preview and constantly gave us really valuable feedback.
Secondly we would also like to thank Square Enix and Avalanche Studios for their tremendous support: It's an honour working together with you.
Last but not least we would like to thank the whole community for their patience and passion: Seeing you guys always eagerly waiting for the next devblog on Discord shows some real dedication towards our project and kept us going forward even in the harder weeks and months of development. To simply put it in words: You guys & girls rock!
This beta release will mark the beginning and not the ending of our journey on creating the best multiplayer sandbox experience for any open-world game. Over the next couple of weeks and months we will be improving upon this beta release, add new functions and extend the possibilities of what you can do even further: We are just getting started.
This release allows for full usage of our client and server software, including our API. In accordance with our testing team we have concentrated on shipping a good feature-set allowing for extensive game-modes to be created. If you are missing any feature, which is very important to realise your own game-mode, be sure to let us know - we will look into each and every request.
So anyways: Have a great Christmas Holiday and hope to see all of you in-game very shortly!
Known issues/important to know
- Some scripting functions may not always work as intended. We have marked those as "unstable" in our scripting documentary.
- There is currently no automatic updater. Builds have to be downloaded directly from our homepage.
- Some game-modes/packages available on our gitlab repositories are not fully finished yet.
- World damage is not synchronised yet and grappling hook wiring has been disabled.
- There may be issues with CEF UIs when running Teamviewer in the background.
- Servers may not be hosted or rented commercially till our full-release following in January. For further information on that matter please consult our EULA.
I picked this up over the weekend since the full thing is only 12 bucks. I was curious about the series, having not played any of the previous games. Man, this is FUN! Sure it's repetitive and a bit shallow blah blah blah - I'm having too much fun with explosions and tethers to care.

I bought JC4 (it's out now), played a couple of hours. It seems like they turned the graphics all the way down versus 3 to get better peformance (Xbox One X).
And there's this rubbish motion blur effect that you can't turn off. Some of the new vehicles, like cranes, are fun to play around with. Has physics more like a fishing rod when you collide it with a tree.
Not sure if I'll spend more time with it for now, I still have RDR2 and AC:Odyssey to finish and I'm feeling kind of 'meh' on it. And I'm a huge fan of the series, finished 1+2.
The underground temples where you have to roll a huge stone ball from point A to point B (to activate a switch) seem fun, hopefully there are more of those.

Ok, so it's not just me. The game is pretty ugly graphically, right? It's not awful, but it does look like it's an XBox 360 game or something. If it's a trade off for not shit performance, I'll take it though. I agree on the motion blur as well. Looking around while in a vehicle makes me wanna barf...
The game's too dark at night, or in dark areas as well and there's no brightness settings or anything =/
There are indeed more of those tombs, but you only get a general idea of where they are on the map. The couple I've tried to get to left me stumped as to where the entrance is.
Everyone has a price. Throw enough gold around and someone will risk disintegration.
If someone where a big enough fan to get the platinum trophy plus all the DLC trophies for 3,would 4 be worth full price? It was pretty low on my radar but I am sucker for this series.

Hard to say, but probably yes I think. As mentioned, it doesn't look the best visually but that appears to be for performance sake. The map is huuuuge and constantly at war, as you take territories you're pushing the frontlines of the conflict around. It's not just a border on the map either, the boundaries between regions almost always have huge battles playing out that you can swoop in on if you want. Doesn't really do anything other than be a fun chaotic time as you can't take a region unless you deploy squads from the map screen. Still fun to do a wingsuit airstrike and wipe out the tanks shelling your soldiers, though.
Side activities are pretty samey so far, but I've been having a blast with the grapple gadgets and just flying around the map causing chaos.

I don't remember how JC3 was because I didn't play it much, but after putting a bigger chunk of time into the game last night, it's very much a "yeah, there's no real narrative to move you along. go do whatever you feel like doing" kind of game. There's a thin plot set-up at the beginning of the game, and a little bit sprinkled in here and there as you unlock story missions. The game is primarily just taking over territory by attacking a base of some sort. I'm enjoying it, but it's something to think about if you were looking for a bit more substance. There are a few side characters that you get your grapple upgrades from that seem cool. Specifically Garland who upgrades your grapple thrusters. She's a movie director that wrangles Rico into doing stunts for her film, and also has Rico help her fake her death to avoid having to obtain permits for her film.
Outside of that, the only other things you'll be doing are quick wingsuit/vehicle stunts, a little bit of tomb raiding, and occasional quick side activities like assassinations or escorts that you find by roaming around, kinda like Spider-Man's random crimes.
I did get lucky and find both a lightning gun, and a wind cannon in a weapon crate while on a mission. Lightning gun is fucking sweet! Secondary fire is a grenade that calls in a lightning storm that just fucks everything up.

No his problem is not wingsuiting every where,

I might need to get this on pc....
Duckie. Jet-Ski. Races. 8-) (Also, soap-box derby's, but meh...) :P
JC3:MP Beta 0.9 is now open for everyone. It's pretty much released now.
- World damage is not synchronised yet and grappling hook wiring has been disabled.
I'm curious how weird that will be, and how long it takes to get implemented. Definitely going to give it a shot though.
JC4! 4th December 2018!
Gameplay:
I completed the first continent, and then fell off. My backlog is very mean.
