Sorry for the delayed update while I was traveling this week!
This week we're focused on getting Miles Morales out to the live servers as well as bug fixes and some server maintenance.
Next week (and later this week), we'll be focused purely on Test Center for Dynamic Combat Level. We're making a number of changes to that system which we'll detail soon. We're also working on the Kamala Khan Team-Up who is shaping out to be quite ridiculous (no pun intended).
In the next few weeks you can also expect to see a revamped and redesigned Avengers Tower, with some Chapter 1 improvements further down the line (continuing the new experience found in The Raft).
So patch this week for Miles. No patch next week. Patch at end of the month ideally for DCL.
Now that I’m done being dramatic, I also have some great news to give you!
@TheArtofRawr has returned to Gazillion, and will be helping move Marvel Heroes forward towards some of the major design goals we’ve been working on over the past year. I can’t announce them at this time, but I know the team is planning multiple blog posts over the next few months detailing everything.
Some seriously amazing changes are coming to the game, and I want to thank you all for the insane amounts of feedback and support you’ve given us. We have been pinpointing ways to improve so many of our systems over the last year and we’re planning some exciting stuff. Thanks to your continued support, we’re able to take our time to do these updates the right way.
In addition, there will be other new members of the design staff joining the team in the coming weeks/months. We’re looking at staffing up multiple departments (if you’re looking for work, check out the job board on our website) for some of the new features, systems, and revamps. The new folks will be announced in kind by the team.
With all of this awesome work underway and great people coming onboard to make it happen, it feels like the right time for me to move on. I’ve been with Gazillion for almost 4 years now, and it’s been an amazing experience. I’ve met fantastic colleagues, awesome fans, and been able to do so much, between writing motion comics, attending VO sessions, and helping to shape the game moving forward.
Though it’s hard to move on, I’m nothing but proud of what we’ve accomplished. I look forward to playing with all of you on Test Center and beyond as a fan, seeing the new stuff in action!
I’ll be around for a bit answering questions and helping the transition out too, so this isn’t totally goodbye just yet. You’ll start to see some other staff members becoming more active here on the forums to back up @AgentFenixion & @AgentVapor, namely @sadprincess14 and @Chrian.

Not much of a surprise. As soon as his gf (CosmicCupcake) got a job at Blizz and they moved to LA I knew he would take something else closer to home. Despite his deep nerdness for all things Marvel I don't really think he was a great fit for Creative Director (formerly Doomsaw's role). TheArtofRawr is a pure game designer and did good things in his previous stint with Gaz. Also glad to see they are staffing up.
You can read whatever comics they have (for as long as you have the sub), but you can't keep any of it?
Unlimited is like Netflix but for comics. You can watch (read) as much as you like but you can't download to keep. New stuff is added 6 months after it is in print and the back catalogue is being worked through over time.
I'm pretty sure there's no device limit, you just log into the app/site
phone is not really the best environment for it though; on the newer comics they've done a better job but on many the panels don't really fit. Tablet seems like it'd be the ideal; I normally read on my netbook

As I mentioned yesterday, I'll be handling the Monday updates here on the forums for the foreseeable future to let you know what's coming to Marvel Heroes in the upcoming week.
For the live servers, there will not be a game update this week; right now, we're focused on getting the gifting service back online in the in-game store, as well as the content update at the end of the month that will include Dynamic Combat Level (among other things). We hope to have the gifting service restored with the game update next week, and we'll post an announcement here on the forums as soon as gifting is available once again.
While there won't be a game update this week, the Cosmic Chaos event will still be ending this week, with Operation Omega starting at 12:01 AM PDT on Friday, July 22nd.
Since there will not be a game update on the live servers this week, we'll be able to keep Test Center open for iterating on Dynamic Combat Level, the Blessings rework, and some of the other changes that will be going out with the update at the end of July. We're also getting ready for the newly redesigned Avenger's Tower hub area and Kamala Khan Team-Up to make their first appearances on Test Center in the near future.
Test Center will likely be available within in the next couple days, so keep your eyes peeled for the next Test Center sub-forum to get the latest info on what's available.

There's a special weekend event starting tomorrow: 200% XP boost, bonus cosmic prestige/omega leveling XP, and logging in nets you a random hero box and a random costume box.
I'm getting the feeling that logins dropped like a rock after the boosts from the anniversary event got turned off.

To be fair the new content and extra chapters have felt pretty uninspired and laughable, add in the omegas and gear is still all over the place (i dont even pick up anything except for splinter drops while leveling, and really thats all i do... err did) I was 118 on the progression levels but have fallen to 160 something.
Yeah the player count dropped below half the peak of the anniversary and right off the top 100 most played on Steam. It happens after every big event and gets a bump back up when a new Marvel movie/show releases.
I got the original Cable costume (maximum puches, Scotty) and a Psylocke hero token. I had Psylocke already, so Ult upgrade. Can't stand Cable so the costume went into the blender pool.
I decided to red prestige Daredevil with the 200% XP bonus. I had him at purple, so only two prestige runs.
With the two costumes from those prestiges and the above Cable costume, I blended up... a classic Doctor Doom costume (green cape and cowl). That's been a desire for me for a while, so SCORE!
Got a Hulk token, I only have him at 30-something, didn't really care for him. Also pulled Rocket's Marvel NOW! costume, which looks super bad on my settings but it's at least brighter so I can see him in mobs/effects and such so I'll keep it if I ever unlock him.
I struck out hardcore. Got Magneto token, who I'm not interested in playing, then got an Emma New X-Men costume, and since I don't have her unlocked, I blended it into Taskmaster Age of Ultron, who I also don't own.

How do subs like these work, exactly?

Does the sub go across devices? Like if I had an Android phone and an iPad? I've been thinking about subbing.
I think there's a device limit, but it's basically just "if you are the only person using it, you probably won't hit this limit" IIRC
