The Guiding Principles and New Rules document is now in effect.
Weird they don't seem to be exporting Meji Wright, you'd think with much of it being set in London it's a relief not to have to worry about how a small city of 50,000 has room for a vibrant Japanese Immigrant scene.
Considering Apollo's game wasn't as well received, I thought they still acknowledged it well enough.
(Minor AA5 Spoilers, just saying who is/isn't in the game)
Apollo still got a decent sized role in AA5, plus Trucy and Klavier returned while characters like Maya and Gumshoe didn't.
So far, all we know about AA6 is that it exists. In fact, we don't even know Phoenix is the star unless another tweet clarified it (he probably is though).

6 looks like a magatama
Therefore Maya will be the new Ace Attorney this time

Ehhh Phoenix wasn't even the star of Dual Destinies. Athena was.
Apollo is a good kid don't get me wrong but he's just not as identifiable a protagonist as Phoenix is, though, I much prefer him when Maya is there to bounce off with. They make an excellent team.
I maintain that AA5 was fairly disappointing besides putting my mind at ease about the transition from sprites to models, and the wrestling case was fucking amazing.

- Phoenix Wright ends up traveling to an unnamed country
- people there strongly believe in the spirits of the dead
- the courtrooms in this country have something called a Water Mirror on the floor
- on the top screen you'll see the face of a character and words floating in the water
- young boy named Bokuto Tsuani is a monk-in-training who also works as a tour guide
- once he gets in his “Tour Guide Mode”, there simply isn’t any way to stop him
I need to get back into Apollo Justice, I'm still on the first case
I want to know what's going on here but this whole poker game rigmarole is not super interesting
Learning from past success, it's only a matter of time before they give Phoenix a beard and everyone is a buzz about Hot Nick.

I really love and prefer Phoenix in the god-mode defense attorney boss now, after his maturing in AA3 to SSJ Phoenix.
I'd also like to see Miles come back again, and have the defense attorney actually lose to him for once.

And can I just say I love all the pun names in the games?
Especially the ones that take you a while to figure out.
Like Winston Payne.

boooooooooooooooooooo no 1800s spin-off
it had Sherlock Holmes in it for god's sake how dare we be deprived
And trust me, I really want AA6
Did totally have the most anime Watson that could ever there be though
but
holy damn they are just trying to scoot apollo under the bed with their foot
nobody pay any attention to the other protagonist or the plot of his game
cause look! phoenix is here!!!!

Also, I got my hopes up for a brief moment, because I thought Meiji AA was officially AA6.
I really want to play that game.

It's good to see they're going to the other coast, too, I look forward to seeing how Phoenix interacts with the New York City justice system
okay if that isn't a clear FINE WE'RE PUTTING MAYA IN THE GAME SHUT UP then I don't know what is

I loved what they had built there in 5 and I honestly could not get that into the idea of the spinoff without Apollo or Athena
