God's Not Dead 2 is actually being filmed around here, and I've got some friends working on that one. I don't envy them. I kinda feel like working on film in Arkansas means faith based films or environmentalist documentaries. I've worked on the latter and that was really enough for me.

I am not saying it's a bad movie, it deserves its position for sure
But like it's up there with In Bruges and Pan's Labyrinth and Fury Road
And there is never any question that it's my favorite
Everything else shuffles around, it is a constant number one

As a person who's only been peripherally exposed to explicitly Christian films, they seem to be pretty bad as a whole. And I'm not talking about The Ten Commandments or The Prince of Egypt, I'm talking the "made by Christians, for Christians" bunch.

The last time I was inclined to really think about my Favorite Movies, it was Ordinary People, Donnie Darko, Sunshine, and Gattaca. It's possible that's changed but I'd have to really think about it.
But there are a whole bunch more that rank pretty up there. The Fifth Element, Aliens, The Dark Knight, The Prestige, Inception, Beetlejuice, Jurassic Park, Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, Back to the Future, Forrest Gump, Can't Hardly Wait...
There are probably too many to name. I feel like it's possible there are movies that I particularly hate, but I can't think of anything at the moment. I don't think I've ever regretted watching a movie.
Also does anyone have any idea about how limited, exactly, the Mad Max steelbook is? I can't afford it just yet, but here in a little bit I should be able.

I'm not sure I could pick a least favourite movie.
40 Days and Nights, the 40 Year Old Virgin, and Wanted all kinda sit in the same stupid bullshit layer though.
It's to bad Wanted doesn't have a 40 in the title or I'd have a hat trick going on.
it's just whether or not you think "dumb" is a negative in that type of movie

My controversial opinion is that Winter Soldier left a minimal impact on me. There were parts I liked and I certainly wouldn't say it's a bad film, but I left the cinema thinking "That was indeed a film I watched."

Least fun at a movie theater? Eragon.

It's difficult to narrow it down to a single, favorite movie. If I were forced to though, I would have to go with Casablanca.
There are other great movies I've watched more often, like Groundhog Day or The Princess Bride. There are movies that capture a particular time in my life and speak to me on a level cinema rarely achieves, like Lost in Translation. There are plenty of films, I'm sure, that are technically more sound or worthy of praise. The production of Casablanca on paper seems a perfect example of how not to make a film - a rushed, unfinished script with changes appearing pretty much daily to the point that as the stars filmed crucial scenes they didn't know what the actual outcome would be, leading to complaints from said stars later. And yet somehow, everything about the movie works. From the strong performances from top to the very bottom, to the almost absurdly quotable dialogue throughout, Casablanca is a film without a single bad scene. It preserves a sense of mystery throughout but with subtle clues/performances that manage to be more and more rewarding the more you watch it. It is one of an extremely limited number of perfect films, in my opinion, and of those films the one that most often comes to mind when I try to determine a favorite.
Punch Drunk Love is way awesome and the best Adam Sandler movie
Point of order: "Adam Sandler Movie" and "movie Adam Sandler is in" are two distinct things and should be treated as such. Punch Drunk Love is the latter.
Also I dunno if it's my favourite, but I've grown increasingly fond of the Truman Show as I've grown older. I remember the trailers pitching it as a Jim Carrey comedy and thus feeling a little tricked when I watched it in the cinema, but having gotten over that I can appreciate the satire it's going with.
Back in 08 I got the dark knight on bluray for christmas, but at the time I didn't have a player, I was waiting for my christmas bonus to come through at the job I worked at.
So when I got the bonus I drove into town, bought the player I wanted, drove home. Tried to set it up but I couldn't connect it up to the tv properly because I didn't have a hdmi cable, whatever the fuck that was. So I drove back into town and bought one, which was pricey at the time.
came home set it up it works, I open my blu ray to discover it's a dvd. So I drive back into town ask to exchange it get the blu ray. It's now been several hours since this started, get home, the fucking power is gone and stays gone until the next day. I was an angry man
Man, no way I can pick a single favorite. Here's a list of moves I really, really love:
2001
Alien
The Silence of the Lambs
Jaws
The Prestige
An American Werewolf in London
The Ninth Gate
Big Trouble in Little China
Heat
The Social Network
Dredd
The Hunt for Red October
Scott Pilgrim

Only film I walked out of was Cars 2, but if I'd been alone, I would have left Revenge of the Sith a little over half an hour in.
As for favorites?
Well, not sure what the whole list is, but Scott Pilgrim is pretty high up there.
Why I fear the ocean.
Is the answer "all of them"?

Movie's pretty alright, too. It's like Hobo with a Shotgun with a little too much, "The 80's, amirite!?!?!?!?"
Oh yeah

It's probably the underlying reason that I never got past season 1.

I haven't seen either, so can you tell me why?
Michael Pitt's character in Funny Games is supremely unpleasant and not in an enjoyable way.
That feeling just happened to leech over into Boardwalk Empire, since I started it not long after watching Funny Games.
It's kind of weird though, because I loved him so much in Hannibal.

Raiders of the Lost Ark, probably
But it changes pretty often
