You know I would probably go see a movie titled "Two white dudes in suits"
Legend just sounds pretentious though.
You have to be Jet Li or something to pull that one off.
does anyone here listen to The Adventure Zone, the D&D actual play podcast from the MBMBAM crew?
I gave the first episode a try and--while there was a lot I liked about it--it just felt, i dunno
kinda judgmental, if that makes sense? like, they kept complaining about things like dice noises and names being too stereotypically fantasy, which kept taking me out of the moment
do they, i dunno, get better at embracing that stuff, or is this just not a show for me? i want to like it, they have good chemistry and the audio quality is good (which is TOO RARE in actual play podcasts), it's just they kept taking me out of the fiction by complaining about stuff
they get much better overall but I wouldn't say they ever start ROLE playing in the way that, say, the Friends at the Table do
there's a lot of griffin saying, "well, you could do this in this way" and them responding "i do that"
it's still very funny and they clearly like their characters they just don't do the same type of collaborative story telling that other actual play podcasts do
As long as they stop saying "omg element x is so dumb/corny/etc." which is what took me out of things, I think I could love it
While on the topic, if anyone has good AP podcast suggestions--particularly ones with hiqh quality audio I could listen to in my car without fiddling too much with the volume--i would appreciate it
I currently enjoy One Shot/Campaign and Ghostbusters: Resurrection but outside of that I am all ears

I mean, the show started out as Griffin getting his brothers who never really played DnD and his father who hadn't played in ages to play DnD with him, so the early reluctance makes some sense.
I'm not sure which I like better--the idea that Justin and Clint are colluding to explain away all of Clint's failed rolls as being d12's, or Clint really just constantly mixing up the dice.
I mean, part of the fun of tabletop is that there is a random element and that you can fail to do what you intended. It's basically improv, and most peoples' most memorable moments come from having to make shit up on the fly because someone nat-oned a very important check. So yeah, it's kind of disappointing when they basically succeed at everything that isn't clearly idiotic. Even a comedy is better when there are some stakes.
when TWA goes completely off the rails might be when I have the most fun with it
I really like it too actually its just they're so long already I gotta steer us back eventually
I'm not going to lie I kind of wish we had been recording when talking about which pokemon are in the most porn
I would like to have a sound clip of @Speed Racer saying "LOPUNNY DOESNT HAVE BOOBS"
Gotta start just recording the Skype call. Mostly as a backup in case someone loses their audio. But also so that, if we ever need a week off, you can just cut together an episode's worth of outtakes.

That wasn't the best until the very end when the mass effect music started.
It is a movie

I've seen that movie a bunch. I could do with something different.
Darn. Jeff is amazing to hear speak for an extended period of time. (Especially when he's not playing things up for the camera)
And/or if you have one now let me know!
how much do you miss me
is it a lot or the most

Alright I'll give it another go

Even if it is by accident
Their repeated attempts to try and use the long-dead Scuttlebuddy make me laugh every time

I don't really get the sense they're interested in hard consequences stuff
they seem like theyre just goofing around telling a story
2 minutes in involves a discussion of whether people in france just call french vanilla vanilla
they're animals, animals I tell you!
(Thanks @LockedOnTarget for guesting that was fun! )
Edit: Also, thinking too hard about things is basically all I do.

I'm gonna say they probably don't have a French vanilla flavor at all? French really aren't all that into dairy outside of cheese.
What about French Canada?
THEY'RE JPEGS
DONT PAY FOR JPEGS
Wait.. I thought that was a CCG.. are they just fucking trading cards with no game around them?
