The g and h keys on my keyboard have occasionally had issues not responding to keypresses, but lately it's been getting a lot worse (and the ' key and up/down arrow keys have started doing the same thing). They generally work if I press significantly harder but that is a huge pain in the ass. This keyboard is a generic mechanical from the early 90s, so I'm thinking it might be time for a replacement.
Does anyone have any recommendations for decent keyboards, preferably mechanicals, that won't crush my wallet? It's been so long since I have had to subject myself to a rubber dome that I don't think I could go back.
Garry: I know you gentlemen have been through a lot, but when you find the time I'd rather not spend the rest of the winter TIED TO THIS FUCKING COUCH!

I go to my Groups tab in Steam and I'm a member of like 15 groups. Many of them I don't even recall why I joined, and a few always launch events that aren't really of interest to me, so I wanted to remove a few of them.
When I go to 'leave group' it takes me to a page on the main steam interface with my groups, but it says I only belong to 5 groups and none of the ones I want to remove are listed there.

That is a beautiful keyboard, but $140 is a bit out of my price range.
Having a built in smartphone dock looks pretty cool though, do you ever use it? Do any games support it or is it just system info?
The dock is a bit crap. It's more of a tray than a dock. I don't use the app, because the dock doesn't even have a plug or anything and it would just drain the batteries.
The LEDs on the keyboard are nice and shiny though.
@Big Classy No, I don't actually use any of the extra keys on the keyboard. The only extra but I use with any regularity is the volume control, which is pretty handy.

That thing looks overkill, do you really need half those things? It's getting ridiculous now. I want it.
Pfft, they highlighted WASD, as though a real gamer uses those keys any more.
ESDF provides so many more hotkeys within easy access!
I keep trying to do that but it just feels too weird. Any suggestions for the adjustment or just tough it out?
Just keep playing games with it until it clicks. Like, for Half-Life 2 I can have ESDF for my movement, R for reload, Q for flashlight, A for use, W for suit zoom, Z for crouch... *shrug* just try a game on easier difficulty or where you're familiar enough with it that you can get over some learning hiccups fine.

These are usually for games you've clicked to "follow" - it subscribes you to a group so you get news posts and stuff. If you unfollow the game, you should get removed from the group.

oooh...wow I had no idea. Thanks for the info, that did indeed work. I don't even recall following all these! But clearly I did .
ESDF is great in theory but I prefer to have my pinky solely responsible for hitting larger keys (capslock, shift, ctrl, etc) since it is the weakest finger.
Having a mouse with programmable buttons is a lifesaver if you find yourself needing additional keys though. With most mice your thumb is just sitting there anyway, you might as well put it to work.
and it has two options: scan your games and pick something, or scan ALL Steam games and pick something. We theorized that this was a terrible idea in the chat last night, unless you're some weirdo with money to burn.
Talk about my fiancee falling in love with Pillars of Eternity today, meaning i'm gonna get a lot less computer time over the next however long it takes for her to complete it.
@SmokeStacks - If you want a budget version of that Logitech monstrosity, the G-105 is forty bucks on Amazon right now. It's a really good board - using it as my main keyboard - and it has a few macro buttons (which I mostly use to control my music player) but not any other crazy things like that mobile app.
I don't feel bad at all for punching crazies in Mad Max. I do, however, feel super bad for "finding" a land mine by running it over while the dog was sitting in Chum's Buggy. And then I found some jumpy spider guys who seem to alternate between attacks that must be dodged and attacks that can be countered. I'm pretty bad at guessing which is coming, but the shotgun sorts that problem out nicely.
Also, it was super fun to take out a convoy. I was on fire by the end of it, but by God I've got a bitchin' new hood ornament!
I apparently dawdled around too long in Resident Evil and let a friend die who probably could have been saved.
Oops.
I'm a terrible friend. I just hope this doesn't have... consequences.
Spooky mansions/whatevers are meant to be dawdled in. If I'm wrong I don't want to be right.
Just kidding, I rushed over to the suicide mission in ME2 to save Kelly Chambers only to realize I hadn't performed all the correct actions for the sexing. So I stayed true to Liara.
Bioware/most game companies: giving you terrible expectations for how relationships work.
It's close, yet so far away. I'm trying really hard not to create a new account to register my NBA 2k16 key because I know I'll regret it later.
How long till they unlock your account?
Nov 17th, supposedly. I'll believe it when I see it.
Booted up Alpha Protocol today. It's the first time I've played through it on PC (but am playing with a 360 controller). It's as good as I remember, maybe better. My only real complaint so far is the lack of a save system, which is very annoying, but loving the game again so far.

Subnautica really makes me say fuck you Valve because it looks awesome and I've been wanting it since it showed up. I've also wanted the other 2 for quite a while now. November is going to be difficult.
Do people have opinions on Dex? I see it is on sale at Indie Gala and cyberpunk sounds up my street, but I heard the shooting was not good.
I loved - loved - what I played of it so far, but unfortunately it fell into the "this is awesome, I need to play more of this... oh look a shiny thing" got-distracted-from-it type of backloggery. The art is great, the soundtrack is amazing, the cyberpunkiness is very classically cyberpunky, and for the love of all that is unholy I need to get back to playing it.
I forget (to my shame) what the shooting is like but bear in mind that despite what it looks like, it is an RPG, and an open-world one at that, not a platformy shooter. It has action, but that's not really its main focus.

Hardly any games support the mobile app. I've also known it to be quite buggy.

That was my thinking! I mean, I got the serum as quick as I could. I can't help it if I got sidetracked on the way back. Several times.
