I really need to get a new video card. I have a GeForce 8800 GTX. When I'm not playing anything, I actually unhook it & remove it from my PC because it gets so hot. When I'm playing a game that taxes it, like Marvel Heroes, I put a house fan on it & run NSI Afterburner to turn the fan speed to 100%. I mean, even if I didn't have to do those things, it's already way outdated. It's just become a hassle at this point. I can't afford to build a whole new PC but I can probably get a new video card, even if it's not a top-of-the-line one. Something that's better than what I have that doesn't run as hot as the sun.
My birthday is in two days, so I'm thinking video card over new game. I'll be moving in a couple of weeks too, to a different city, so I'm feeling the crunch.
EDIT: Well my car battery is dead apparently. So I guess that just moved to the front of the list.
I've fallen back into Destiny. Steam, see you in a couple weeks.
A friend and I are (slowly) running through the base and first 2 expansions. I like the changes a lot, particularly how the original DLC is woven in where it's level appropriate now. The story is still nonsense, and I wish the world was better fleshed-out, but the core mechanics are still great, and the changes are making me wish Taken King didn't cost $40.
If you're doing that on PS4 and need another, hollar! I solo way too much in Destiny.
We are, indeed, on PS4. Schedule is pretty sporadic though. I'll shoot you a PM next time we play to see if you're available. We just opened up Mars in the main story, have only the strike left from Dark Below, and have done the first 2 missions from House of Wolves.
Every time I go into a menu I'm amazed there's no PC version. I'm sitting there moving a mouse cursor with my analog stick wondering why those that prefer PC don't get to play.

They hired a PC person fairly recently, so here's hoping. I sold my PS4 after realizing the only thing I was playing on it was Destiny and I had already beaten that soooo. I'd be interested in checking out the new content but don't want to invest on console again.
Also Microsoft should release Halo for PC but who knows if that'll ever happen.
Once there was a game called The War Z. That game was a horrible money grab, and people hated it. The developer re-released the game as Infestation: Survivor Stories. People still hated the developer and the game. Now the developer has changed their name, changed their publisher name, and changed the name of the game again, and we have "Romero's Aftermath": http://store.steampowered.com/app/349700/
And people still hate the developer, and still hate the game.

All they need to do is take out the single-player campaign and add some Nazi Shark romance options, and people will buy it in droves and love every minute...

Awesome, sounds good!
I'd played through all the single player stuff on a Hunter but I'm not doing a Warlock, which I like better overall, and going back through. I'm about 25 on him or so, I think.

Hey...at least they don't hate the player RIIIIGHT
Beat two games over the weekend - Another Perspective was a decent little puzzle platformer which attempted to get a bit too meta in its commentary. I think I feel like the whole "self-aware" game thing is a little overdone. It was alright, but the concept was done better in (for example) Thomas Was Alone.
Ben There, Dan That was just poor. As point and click goes, there wasn't too much in the way of obtuse, stupid puzzles, but the writing and art quality were just....well, poor.
Granted, there's a disclamer right in the second paragraph. But I want everything discussed in the article.
Not everything you read about in this post will make it into Subnautica. Throughout the development process, ideas come and go, concepts are favoured then discarded, and gameplay mechanics iterated upon. Some of what is on show here may end up in an update some time in the next few months, and some might never be seen again!
Water Filtration! Want!
Aquaponics Farming! Yes please and thank you.
Special Aquarium room for bigger critter display and storage! (Possibility of farming Stalker teeth? One can only hope!)
Artwork for a possible 'Lost River' biome. Unf! If the final biome ends up looking anything like that art, I know where I'd build a seabase.
They're certainly not lacking for awesome looking ideas. I want these things in game like yesterday.
Sanctum is a pretty okay first person TD game. I think of those I've played I prefer Orcs Must Die, but if you're more into sci-fi instead of fantasy, this one is absolutely fun, too.
Hero of the Kingdom is a hidden object picturebook fantasy RPG citybuilder economy simulator....thing? It made me play obsessively for a couple days until I 100%'d it. It's hard to recommend because it's such a weird niche and it doesn't do any one thing as well as other games, but it does all those things well enough through a clickable interface that I still found it super fun?
Canyon Capers is...I can't really recommend it. It's a collectathon, the collision physics aren't great, the graphics aren't all that great, and the late-game ramp in difficulty made this one of the first games I went ahead and shelved without beating. That being said, I will give them minor props for managing to have an interesting spin on DLC by taking the same mechanics and making them work in a completely different way. I had a LITTLE bit of fun scratching that collectathon itch, but there's better examples out there.
To add to that... Super Sanctum TD is a traditional TD in the Sanctum universe. Hard, but good.
Spy Chameleon: RGB Agent feels like a kooky PS1 game in a good way. Change colors to blend in with the floor to keep security off you. Works best and is designed with a 360/XB1 pad in mind as your color shifts are tied to the colors of A (green), B (red), X (blue), and Y (yellow) on that controller. Each level has 3 (I think) objectives and they're quick so level replay is encouraged and rewarding.
Last Knight: Rogue Rider Edition is a runner where you play as a knight. Ride that horse, jump over stuff, and joust the bad guys. I also really dig the art style here.
I guess some people are getting shipping info for early steam controller preorders. I'm not sure if I'll buy one but I'm excited for some more reviews.

Apparently November is the next batch, after the initial early orders.

It's like, 16... carry the 9... 18 days away, right?

In case anyone's wondering: The 'Romero' of the title is apparently George Cameron Romero - George A Romero's son.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAH!
What the shittiest shit that ever shat.
Holy crap.
That is ... that is brilliant in its up-fuckery.
Applause. Finger snaps. They're now so terrible that they're actually awesome coming from the other direction.
About this time tomorrow you could be winning Undertale!
Finished it over the weekend myself. Its short but a unique experience that is worth the price IMO. Went pretty blind into it so really the less you know the better.

Shit like this puts games on the same level as Hollywood. Now we just need a scandal about the mob controlling major gaming ip's and gunning down gaming legends outside their mansions.
I can't remember if that was a story in India or a Bollywood movie.
Thanks to @Halfazedninja for iron fisticle! I haven't turned the pc on in days now and managed to avoid being gifted! Thanks dude, you broke the steak!

I am running out of unexplored map. I have got to be close to the end of Resident Evil. Surely...
Hmm, so very happy I have nothing to break your heart with.
Anyone else have real life friends ask for your steam id and wonder what they will think when they see the truth?
Sometimes I make new friends, or more commonly my old friends see my Steam profile and say "Huh, you sure have a lot of games" and all I can do is sigh and say....yeah.

Haven't played around too much with Tabletop Simulator, but what I have is good. Content gets removed for copyright infringement, though, I think.
Breath of Death 7 and Cthulhu Saves the World are both great and made by PA folks, and everyone in this thread should already own them.
