Anyone else feel like this is one Binding of Isaac release too many?

Nope. Original + DLC & 'Remake' + DLC is hardly madness, given the world of DLC and remakes we live in now. And I put remake in quotes there since it was more a sequel than a remake really with the amount of new content in there.

I'm so hype for Afterbirth it's unreal. I'm hoping the changes to the Lost make me actually want to play him, I might finally get those achievements I have left.

I didn't feel guilty about exploiting the save mechanics with The Lost at all after giving it a good 100 attempts or so. I did not find playing as him very fun.
I would love the Dark Cloud games on Steam. Symphony of the Night OST came on my winamp and I was just thinking about how more Castlevania games need to get on Steam. Just port all the DS games over.

Konami really missed out on some good opportunities there, and I doubt we'll be seeing this sort of thing anytime soon based on the state of that company now. :(

A little under 3 hours done already. Got boosted over $1000 thanks to Destroyah. Still playing Dota at the moment, but I'll move to something more interesting in a game or two. Not sure what yet.

Batman is emerging from his Frankenstein patchwork PC fixes back onto the store on the 28th. Will be updated with the free stuff the consoles have gotten, and the season pass (as terrible as it is) will be caught up too.

The season pass doesn't seem that bad. The new most wanted stuff coming looks solid. And what I got to play of Batgirl was fun.

I'll have to play through some backlog before I see a point in another Batman game, even if it is the last. Basically, by the time I'm ready for it, it should be 20-30 bucks regular price for a "GOTY" type bundle of the game.

As a followup to my "fan of boobs" comment, I have enough monies in my Steam wallet to buy either Sakura Fantasy OR Sakura Beach, but not both. I know there are a bunch of visual novel fans here; has anyone played both to have an opinion? Pixie?

@baudattitude - having finished both I can say this: Sakura Beach is straight anime porn and only about a half hour long (no staying power there. ba dum tish!). It's also absolutely inane in terms of story. Pure trash.

Sakura Spirit actually has a story, is actually kind of interesting, but also may not satisfy the devoted FAN OF BOOBS since it's strictly PG-level innuendo and teasing.

Somewhere more in the middle would be Sakura Fantasy. Maybe check that one out?

edit: at work, misread Spirit in place of Fantasy. So yeah, check out Fantasy. Boobs and a decent story. ;)

Ugh. Disregard that entirely. I should not post from work apparently.

I was confusing Sakura Beach with Beach Bounce. Sakura Beach I haven't played yet for more than a few minutes. Beach Bounce is the one that's total pr0n trash.

    Apologies for the confusion.

Still gonna recommend Fantasy though, so I guess it's not an entirely wasted post.

My decision is made! Thank you :)

And...yeeesh, looking at the Bounce game. Even I have some standards, low as they may be.

Edit: and wow, you DID make my decision for me. Thank you for the copy of Sakura Fantasy!

So, it would have been remiss of me to not bump this one to the top of the backlog.

I liked it, even though it's only chapter one and the odds of a chapter two seem kind of up in the air. The story in the first chapter is really just "here, let's build the world a little bit and introduce you to some characters and give them personality and motivation and HEY A BIG FIGHT SCENE and whoooops we ran out of money, please look forward to chapter two!"

But, even with that, it was a fun read, punctuated every five minutes or so by the developers finding an excuse for you to walk in on characters while they're changing and the like, because they know their audience.

Would recommend to any fan of extremely light fantasy and extremely flimsy excuses for fanservice.

Plus, it's reading! It's practically a book. You've been meaning to read more books this year.

Oh, I don't think coop is necessary or anything, we just did it because we both thought it looked crazy (it was) and because we love coop. It was a long time ago so I can't remember much about it, and I don't think the game explained itself very well. You have a hub you get missions from and can unlock new weapons which will show up in the armories found in levels—at some point I unlocked the minigun, and pretty much stopped carrying other guns. You can research armor upgrades as well as things that are only prerequisites for other tech through one of the menus. You need money and monster body parts to do it, if I recall. You'll want to keep up on that tab.

I wouldn't call it a good game, but it has lots of weird gameplay options you don't see very often, and the money is called brozefs, so yeah.

Played some Tiny and Big with the Steam Controller.

I....don't think this controller is well suited to 3D platformers - too difficult to control the camera correctly. There's probably sensitivity settings I can tweak, but I couldn't find any which worked appropriately.

I'm starting to get the feeling that the Steam Controller isn't well suited to any game that's already set up to use a controller. Based on anecdotes in this thread and elsewhere, it certainly seems to be getting better results in games that aren't set up for one at all, and as such is more of a complement to a more traditional controller for couch gaming rather than a replacement.

To be fair, those lady costumes are straight out of MGS3.

To be real, Metal Gear is real stupid and pandering.

It's funny how Bethesda got a lot of flack from horse armor all those years ago, and are now pretty much only putting out substantial DLC, and pretty much everyone else are all about selling stupid cosmetic skins now.
