Where you go when you want to see just how obscenely unbalanced the game is in favor of the clans.
That's not what they say, after a 48 to 18 stomping... Teamwork is OP, nerf plz. :winky:
(and got another CN9-AH due to it)
Derplord Clans are eminently beatable, they're just still vastly dangerous on a personal level and typically running meta builds, so if you put one foot out of line you get a torso blown off in one alpha from a couple guys.
Thankfully I've been drawing Defending side a bunch and winning matches that way because attackers tend to derp and bottle up and it's far easier to coordinate defending forces to stay consolidated. I have literally *never* won a clan warfare match when IS has been on the Attacking side.

All I've been dropped into are matches that are IS attacking clan, and I lose. Every time. I've managed to get 2 pulls out of 6 games, because they are score based. But at 30 minutes a match, and 15 minutes just for matchmaking, I don't have time for such a low rate.
I was excited tonight, because I got to join a planetary defense with a 92% defender win rate. The mission? Counter-attack. :x

IIRC, the % defender win rate is for whatever side actually controls the planet. AFAIK, whoever is "Attacker" and "Defender" for the map itself is a coin flip.
But yeah, shit's been real bad. I've had all of one match where the IS first drop accomplished anything at all of value (2 kill lead to us) before we crumbled due to reinforcements stringing out. Every other match has had the entire drop shattered almost literally at the entrance for only 0-1 kills in response, then the Clans pushing out into the wilderness and cutting us apart piecemeal and then camping the dropship exits.
couple tips for making pug CW less migraine-inducing:
1) don't respond to the 'XYZ needs reinforcements!' popups. These start appearing when 12 pilots are waiting for a match and don't have an opponent yet; those pilots could be pubs of course, but a lot of the time they appear because a large group has finished a match and queued again (ackbar.jpg, basically.) Instead, look at the planet list and just queue for the most active planet and/or the one where your faction has more pilots. Your chances of getting matched against an org group are lessed this way.
2) look for planets that either belong to your faction but are mostly un-conquered, or which belong to the opposing faction but are mostly conquered by your side (you can check this by looking at how many 'sections' of the planet are red/blue on the queue screen.) This will maximize your chances of getting to defend in either invasion or in counter attack. Defense is easier in pubs and if nothing else gives you better opportunities to farm match score.

You need tight coordination and skill far exceeding your clan opponents to pull out a win
Clans generally just need to show up and point the right direction to win, to beat them IS needs very tight coordination and twice the skill. and that's only with low level clanners. The top mid range clanners are miserable to drop agains and the top level ones are basically living aimbots.

The bad ones are fucking hilarious, though, given how fragile Clan mechs are comparatively.
Like holy shit, derplord Clan pilots using the stock Adder (Flamer, 2xERPPC)? It's almost tragic because they constantly give up their back, panic when rushed, monofocus one guy to try and use their flamer, and can die to a single alpha from even moderate weight.

Speaking of drugs, let's jump on a dropship for a booze run. It's the only legal drug we can get around here.
I still think they should just unlock all of the clan equipment. It does nothing as a balancing mechanism for clan tech as a whole because the golden clan mechs have no need to unequip their locked equipment. They might as well remove the shackles from the "lesser" clan mechs and implement something more meaningful to keep clan tech in line.

They're plenty fragile, when you shoot them in the back and they don't have structure quirks to fall back on.
the adder can't actually remove that flamer, because reasons
the double erppc adder is a popular low-weight mech for clans, since it can kinda poke at long range while it's being a suicide scout
I'm not sure I'd call 35 tons low-weight and 'suicide' worthy, personally, but I guess Clanners can totes afford to just throw that away as deckfiller!

Check out the second post of the thread for a full explanation; the only thing missing is the current tonnage limits (stated above).
