I'm in, I'll fill out this post more as I think of stuff.

I have an Amazon Wishlist that ranges from the completely reasonable to the absurdly expensive but I think shows a bit about who I am? https://www.amazon.com/gp/registry/wishlist/29ZEO2GOBG4CD/ref=cm_wl_list_o_0?

    Other Stuff:
I would enjoy opening a bunch of tf2 or csgo crates
    Handmade stuff is always cool

    Not Stoked for:
    Action Figures, Anime, dvds/bluerays

Alternatively, if you are literally a billionaire, housing in Los Angeles is very expensive and I want to be a home owner.

    Hey nerds, I am in!

I like homemade stuff, crayon drawings or like a play-doh sculpture!

Things I'm into, in no particular order; Doctor Who, Legend of Korra, Rick and Morty, Metal Gear Solid, Steven Universe, Adventure Time, Kill la Kill, Puella Magi Madoka, Gundam (and Gunpla!) Marvel comics (mostly Marvel NOW) and My Little Pony (Derpy Hooves is my spirit animal)

If ya wanna buy me stuff, Amazon Wishlist - Steam Wishlist

I mostly play vidya on PS4 and UK region WiiU, but also have a Vita and NA region new3DS! Buying me games is a risky business, since I usually grab stuff I want, but if it's on the Wishlist go for it!

Movies and Books is fine! I like sci fi, horror, animu of those same genres. Been really into True Crime lately too!

NSFW is OK! Candy is maybe no, I am trying to be healthier! Weird edibles from foreign lands is OK! If you're a secret rich person, pay for my nurse school! >:P

here's mah wishlist, as linked in my sig.

    https://www.amazon.com/gp/registry/wishlist/3EVSSQB0877TR/ref=cm_sw_su_w

it's a basic bitch, so feel free to do your own thing.

I really enjoy reading, big fan of science fiction; however, there is a very strong chance that i have already read whatever you might pick. Not guaranteed, but still. Favorite genre authors include gene wolfe, michael swanwick, William Gibson, China Mieville, Jack Vance (RIP), Alistair Reynolds, etc. I hate hate hate Richard K. Morgan. If you're wondering whether I will like something, Jacobkosh is probably the best forumer to check with, and also the person to blame if I don't like it.

Non-genre: I like Dave Eggers, Cormac McCarthy (I own a bunch of his books already though), Murakami, Kazuo Ishiguro, David Foster Wallace, David Mitchell (though I think maybe he's on thin ice with me).

I also like comics, though vanilla superhero stuff doesn't exactly do it for me. Astro City is brilliant and I am loving Saga.

I like to drink. Very fond of whisky, single malt. To date Talisker is my favorite. I do not care for Laphroig, so there is a line there where I can be overwhelmed by peat. I like da beers too, stouts, monastic shit, trippels, etc. St. Bernardus is my favorite. IPAs can suck a dick.

Umm, I like DIY stuff but I unfortunately do not have a garage or suitable workshop, so I am limited in what I can do. I am kind of picking up programming now, which may help satisfy that itch. I've got some arduino projects lined up that I just need to do. Nothing inventive, just going through some Instructables.

I play games, vidya and otherwise. but not super frequently. Like, I reallly hurt my wrist playing sick amounts of destiny so I've eased up. But I do still enjoy the games. I have a PS4, a PS3, a SNES, a PS2, and a laptop that has steam on it. I am almost through The Wolf Among Us and it is freaking brilliant.

Please nothing risque. I am a prude and might die of the shame. Also, I know I am a nerd/geek/whatever the fuck on the inside, I do not need merch that advertises that to the outside world. I am now doing that by wearing a legend of zelda wristband all of the time, for some unknown reason.

    That is about it, maybe?

Signing up, stealing my wishlist from last year with some tweaks

    :D
    - Nerdy whatsits and doohickeys are totally cool by me, all sorts of electrical doodads and diy thingamjiggys
    - local food/drink/booze/whatever
    - Weird cooking stuff is awesome, funky utensils or appliances, local ingredients/spices
    - Big into tea so fancy teas and accessories are great
    - I love boardgames and tabletop RPGs so games or dice or rulebooks or whatever are aces
    - Comics are great, I'm almost exclusively digital but any TPBs are good, especially if they have super good art. I've got Marvel Unlimited so anything older Marvel I've got in digital form, although I'm still happy to have anything pretty.

Ok, for better or for worse, here this goes:

I am in Canada, home to the worlds sexiest prime minister and every nerd's fictional girlfriend. So, ordering via amazon.ca or something will probably work out better for you than shipping to here from where ever you are, especially with the exchange rates favouring just about every other major currency in the world.

    Pls:

I've just moved into a new flat, from yurp, so I'm still trying to make the place liveable. My Amazon wishlist contains a few things I reckon I need, but feel free to use them as a starting point if you're so inclined.
I also have a steam wishlist, but if you think there's something fun that I should probably play go for that instead.
If you're feeling crazy generous, a subscription to marvel unlimited will make me the happiest girl in all the land.

Or... just go hogwild! Pick whatever you fancy! I am probably gonna be on my own this Christmas, so anything I get will be welcome. Even a box of dicks.
Well, maybe not a box of dicks....

    Pls staph:
I'm a goddamn dirty Coeliac, so I can't consume things with gluten in them. So as much as I love tasty treats you're gonna have to check and see if they're gluten free. It's a pain in the ass, trust me, I know. Anything else is fine!

The list is organized from OMG to No Thank You, as defined by emoticon. It includes $$$$ things and $ things. Pick what works for you, obviously.

For specific items, here is my curated Amazon list. And here is my Steam account, you can look at my games and get a pretty good idea of what I like to play.

    :D List

Whatever local mail-able food your area of the world is known for.
A 4qt Cuisinart Dutch Oven, any color.
    Copic marker set
Eggshell Sticker Blanks (just Google it, pick a design you like)
Yarn (natural fibers preferred, no novelty stuff like boucle or eyelash please)
Boardgames / Cardgames along the lines of Flux (I have vanilla Flux), Munchkin (I have vanilla and Adventure Time Munchkin), Iota, or Morels (love that game).
Lovecraftian shit: Statues, books (Elizabeth Bear books!), comics, etc.

    :) List

Cookbooks, books about food history, books about cheese
Icelandic saga books (I have Njal's Saga, Laxadaella, and Bolli Ballasson's saga already)
    Origami paper
    Origami books
    Crochet and Knitting books
    Crochet hooks and knitting needles
    SD Cards
Squishables (Mini or regular size. Fox, Kitten, Octopus, Fortune Cat, Hermit Crab, Cthulhu)
    Tea

    :? List

Movies - I'm just hella picky, so better to not bother. If you really want to, I like the Coen Bros, the Wachowskis, Cloud Atlas, nature and historical documentaries. A few other things.
    Music - Same.
Boardgames which foster paranoia and betraying your friends - not my bag.

    :bigfrown: List

NSFW items. I don't like 95% of the porn out there and I'm not gonna put my sex toy wishlist on here. Though gift cards for Adam & Eve or Babeland would be cool.

Fantastic! This always makes the holidays more fun, that's for sure. I'll put a wishlist together at some point soon I promise. I am lazy and am just going to copy/paste the thing from last year. I might - but probably won't - expand it if it occurs to me. It occurred to me. Yay!
Dark chocolate! On a diet now :? Dark spirits (bourbon, scotch, spooky ghosts)! Funky art from local markets! Coffee cups! OK I have like three dozen coffee cups already so I probably don't need more but what the hell. Craft stuff too - like one time I was in Portland for work and I bought this wooden star puzzle thing from some dude at a market.

    Quick update from last year:
I played through Life is Strange about two weeks ago, and holy shit it's all I can think about. I've somehow so far resisted the urge to blow a bunch of money on stickers, posters, and fanart from redbubble. Or, if by some miracle, my dearest secret santa is artistically inclined, any related art or what have you would be super awesome.
    Pricefield for life, yo.

In general physical stuff is nice because it is unique. I do love a monkish life style so I don't own a lot. For stuff on Steam is fine. I have a huge backlog though so just be warned. My steam name is the same as on here.

I am a blizzard fanboy. I am also a huge history nerd. I read Japanese but not really big into manga or anime. I love American comics and own most of the main ones anyone needs. But more rare stuff is good.

    Clothes:
I'm buried in t-shirts so it would be best to skip those, sorry.
If you're the gift card giving type, I would love getting one for any of the following establishments: Brooks Brothers, J.Crew, Lands' End, Suitsupply, Uniqlo

    Comics:
    Poorly Drawn Lines
Nedroid (there seem to be four books, any of them would be wonderful)
I have no real experience with graphic novels of any type so I would be delighted in a collection of those, be it something superhero-y like Watchmen (or something more traditional like your Spider/Bat/Iron Mans) or something indie/down-to-earth. Or whatever! If you love it, I'll love it.

    Food and drink:
I have no allergies/food restrictions so it's all good to me. Sweets/chocolates would be lovely. All the standard nuts/legumes are great (though I would prefer unsalted and unsweetened). And I am open/amenable to all the boozes; beers, ciders, wines, whiskeys, rums, tequilas, liqueurs, absinthes, a nice cask of Amontillado, Malört - it's all tasty good (except the Malört, that's more of a dare). Or anything that you love and/or is local to your area would be great!

    Movies and Television:
I'm a bit particular when it comes to movies and TV shows; I actually don't own that many as I tend to rent most of the time. With that said I do prefer Blu-rays to DVDs (though I would be perfectly happy to receive DVDs). I don't have any particular wishlist for movies but anything that Criterion puts out is almost certainly going to make me happy. And I still need to get Season 4 of Game of Thrones. If there are any gems that you think I might be interested in, though, please feel free to send anything because I would love to check out new things!

    Music:
I would love to receive any of the following albums in either CD or vinyl
And You Will Know Us By The Trail Of Dead - Source Tags & Codes (2002)
    Black Sabbath - Paranoid (1970)
    Converge - Jane Doe (2001)
    Crain - Speed (1992)
Godspeed You! Black Emperor - Slow Riot for New Zero Kanada (1999), Yanqui U.X.O. (2002)
King Crimson - In The Court of the Crimson King (1969)
Neurosis - Honor Found in Decay (2012)
Queens of the Stone Age - Queens of the Stone Age (1998), Lullabies to Paralyze (2005), Era Vulgaris (2007)
    Radiohead - The Bends (1995), OK Computer (1997), Kid A (2000), Amnesiac (2001)
    Sleater-Kinney - No Cities to Love (2015)
The Smashing Pumpkins - Gish (1991), Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness (1995)
Tau Cross - Tau Cross (2015)
    Tool - Lateralus (2001)
    Wishbone Ash - Argus (1972)

As well as any albums by the following acts:
Daft Punk, Florence and the Machine, Hum, Hüsker Dü, Isaac Hayes, Mazzy Star (I already own Seasons of Your Day), Mogwai, Mr. Gnome (I already own Madness in Miniature), Soundgarden

As you can see I am drowning in way too much rock so if you think I would enjoy some pop/electronic/hip-hop/folk/jazz/classical/experimental/world music/etc, I would love to check it out!

    NSFW Sexytime Stuff:
naaaah, we don't need to do that

    Video Games:
Say, I'm a fellow who enjoys the video games (I swear, Jacob, I'm going to get back into BioShock on...Thursday probably!). Here's my Steam wishlist, anything on there would be peachy keen. If you have money in your pocket that is on fire and you must spend it before you go up in smoke, I would be forever happy to receive any of the current major consoles (PS4, WiiU, Xbox One) or a New Nintendo 3DS XL.

Anything you decide to get me will be great, though. Thanks Secret Santa!

I'm a grumpy old man, so I'll start negative:
I'm trying to erase t-shirts from my wardrobe except for when I'm working out. Also, as an elder manchild, I get pretty every game I'm interested in at release. I rarely watch TV/Movies outside the MCU. I'm on a diet, so while I love cookies and the like, I have to give them away.
    Good things:
I have a lot of games, but only recently convinced my girl that we could decorate like gamers, so there isn't a lot of game stuff on the wall. Would love to change that. (Thanks @AngelHedgie for the link)
Since I buy things I know about, the best gifts would be things I never heard of. Your favorite band's best album would be sweet. The only full albums I've picked up from the last 10 years or so have been from Fall Out Boy, Katatonia, Skrillex and Deadmau5. Love metal, hate cookie monster. Like electronica but it's not my scene so I only know the pop stuff.
    Huge New England Patriots fan.
I wasn't really a comic book kid, and the MCU has me reading back issues. I read all of Iron Man and am in the mid 90's of Avengers. I have Marvel Unlimited, but it takes me forever to get through it, so graphic novels of the better stories are cool. Don't know much DC stuff except I love the Injustice series.
I have got into board games lately. I prefer co-op stuff, because my girl always beats me head to head.
You should have my email address - if you need to see if I already have something, replace my first name with the letter "d" and you reach my other half, who sometimes checks email. My name is unique globally, so I'm easy to stalk. There's an Amazon list if nothing pops into your head, but it's really my "expensive things I'll buy later list" so don't pay that much attention to it.

Here's my wishlist, more or less:

    Interests:
    • I play a lot of videogame. PC, PS4, or Wii U. I play a lot of RPGs, MOBAs, and Metroidvanias. I'd prefer lesser known titles to mainstream ones, since I'll probably get around to most mainstream titles.
    • Tabletop games: I own a lot of Dominion-likes (Dominion, Legendary, Puzzle Strike), but I'm interested in most games.
    • Posters/Artwork/decorations: My house is relatively undecorated, so having some cool things in that respect would be nice.
    • Webcomics: I like OotS, Stand Still Stay Silent, Strong Female Protagonist, and Oglaf.
    • Food: I'm trying to expand my cooking knowledge. Recipes would be nice, as well as homemade/local food. I like spicy, but I don't really like jalepenos, if that matters.
    • Comics: I have read a bit but haven't really gotten into them. I tend to like more of what I've seen from Marvel, though.
    • Music: Point me in the direction of good music! Basically any genre is acceptable. Buying a physical album is probably not as helpful as some links.
    • Books: Good literature is a blast! Again, not picky on the genre.
    • Cool local stuff: Self explanatory!

    Eh:
    • NSFW: I'm not opposed to the idea but I don't really use toys and don't want NSFW decorations.
    • Gift cards/cash: Kinda dull but if you don't want to risk gifting me something I already have a gift card+buy this wouldn't be bad.
    • Clothes: I don't really accessorize much and my wardrobe is passable. If you have a really cool T-shirt then an adult medium/large works; I'm thin but broad shouldered, so super short sleeves tend to suck.

    Uninterested:
    • Prepackaged food/snacks: Aside from local/homemade food above.
    • Movies: I tend to just netflix/redbox movies I want to watch, or go in theaters.
    • Extravagant gifts: If you're somehow one of these miracle Santas, I'd prefer you give it to another forumer or make a charitable donation in my name.

The ol' Amazon Wish List. This thing contains a smattering of items of wildly variable prices. This list is mostly just for me to remind me of things I want to get myself, but I've opened up it up for you lovelies to view as well. Feel free to grab something off here, or something you know to be better or more interesting. Or not, because hey! your classiness is not determined by choosing something from here, though if someone does decide to get me the MacBook Pro on the list I'll probably faint and may not wake up for a very long time.

My post from last year is pretty all-encompassing so I'm just going to make a couple edits and put it here:
    Santa!

I'm not difficult to please and will be super excited to just receive anything at all. So thank you in advance, you are super classy having signed up to do this!

I will make this easy for you, thread stalking should reveal my nerd status as a movie/television/video game consumer. It's probably a good idea to skip video games though, as I have an intense backlog, though I'm interested in the new Battlefront but refuse to pay full retail for it, so if you get it for me, know that I'd have gotten it anyways probably for cheaper than you paid for it.

Movies/television is something you might find an opening for. I haven't been keeping up on all the latest things very well so my collections are not current but I would love to see something you thought was awesome in the recent past! I prefer bluray but DVD and digital are both acceptable as well.

I love Star Wars. See my avatar? That's not by accident.

I have two small dogs that I adore and love to shower gifts upon them. One is a small and one is a medium in dog clothes generally. So if you wanted to practice knitting then my dogs would be prime guinea pigs for a sweater or whatnot. They also like treats!

By Christmas, my daughter will be 102 weeks old (That's almost 2 freakin' years old!)! She too would enjoy anything that the average 2 year old baby would like. She's become more amicable to fun things in her hair. I'd prefer not to have to hide candy or juice from her like I've been having to do with Halloween candy.

I like books in the scifi genre as well as history and popularizing science genres. Again, most anything new I don't have and anything awesome would be appreciated. I have a kindle and a bookshelf, so any format works there.

I'm kind of snobby with drinks, so if you live in Golden, CO, don't bother with sending me ew gross Coors. But if you live in Napa Valley or next door to a hole in the wall microbrewery, then by all means send me the good stuff.

I eat all foods, no allergies that I know of, so your weird foods are welcome as well.

I'm adding a line on clothes. XXL is going to be the proper size if you are so inclined. I always like new and interesting clothes.

This list has gotten long! In conclusion, I will like whatever you send me. If you are really stuck on picking something, feel free to donate to Child's Play or the ASPCA in my name.

If you are a billionaire looking to rid yourself of your cash, have someone PM me for an extensive and precise list of ridiculous things I want (2016 Stingray, pay my mortgage, peace on earth, etc).

My list. Keeping it loose and fresh this year. Things I've said in previous years probably still apply. Clothing size is XL in shirts, pants, etc.

    Things I like:
    • Ridiculous gadgets
    • Cooking
    • Horrible trashy snack foods that will kill me
    • Fine bourbons and other liquors and beers (pls no stouts, no IPAs, nothing that is going to choke me to death with hops)
    • Robots
    • DIY / project kit nonsense that a programmer or electrical engineer would like
    • Art and posters (you will need to stalk for subject matter)

    Things I don't want:
    • Video games made after 2004
    • Physical media
    • Figurines
    • Photographs of yourself with real locks of hair attached with clear plastic tape

    NSFW:
    • If you think you can gift me something that is embarrassing or won't be used, you are wrong.
