So, with the results in mind. It looks like a fair number of people would like some form of video game system added. We can go back to the Make Your Selection thing I made or we can look at another option.
People aren't a huge fan of colour on coins...personally, that's a disappointment for me. I have a few Canadian coins that have colour all over them and they look awesome (like this one). But, if that is the will of the people, so be it
People would also like the same size as most of the other PAX coins.
A ribbed edge was the clear choice for the coin.
Antique bronze was the winner for the finish...but, if you look at it as types of metal. Types of Bronze were 9 and types of Gold were 12. So, that may be something to consider.
Also, I will be camping most of next week, starting Saturday, and will not be near the internet. Just an FYI
For now, it'll be for sale...I know if PAX Aus, there was somewhere where you could earn them...but I would have to see if the PAX South people would want to do that

Last year for South, it was purchase only. @fishfishmonkeyhat ran the Aus coin. Don't remember anything about earning them.
For those people who have missed out on a Challenge coin there will be one given away each day as a prize in the informal Johann Sebastian Joust Tournaments at 5:00pm each day.
Edit:
There is now a signup for these tournaments in the Joust area (see maps). Currently this is on the back of the whiteboard in the Joust area. Signup for the Friday tournament has just started.
They will be gold. The majority of people voted for some type of cold coin
The results on the first page have "Antique Bronze: 8" listed as the winner of the finish question though?
I only bring it up because I thought our coin could have used some more texture if we'd had more planning time so the designs stood out better.
True, The winner for one type was Antique Bronze, but more people voted for gold over all as a metal. So, I decided to go with that (mixed member voting over first past the post voting).
would there be a price difference if there was color?
Heard back from Kiddercorp with regards to price (Note: May change depending on what we do)
"We would intend to price these similar to the other coins we have done for PAX. Basically the coins would be $5/each with shipping added depending on the QTY ordered and location.
The color version will be more, but only slightly more ($6/each). We can do both provided there is enough interest (50+ of each version)."

I'll probably buy a total of about 10 of the coins. The color sounds nice so a mix of the two. I gave some out last year at random to my friends that were going.
I plan on buying one of each for me, one of each for my sister in Canada, and at least 6 to give out as thanks for random acts of kindness...or something (2 a day)

You can look at previous years coins, and what their artwork looked like compared to final coin, but that's about it.

What are people thinking about the coin? We only have about 60 days to go!

I'd buy a few of them.
I would be. The Texas Pinball Festival does a color one and it looks really cool.
Also, please note: They are also working on a coloured version.

So is the coin going to be Antique Bronze still? Or gold?
