You probably saw yesterday that a Japanese publication stated that Nintendo is planning to release the NX and a separate handheld device which is currently codenamed the MH. Well, reliable analyst Dr. Serkan Toto says that this was just a prediction by the author who wrote the orignal article and that they were simply picturing a scenario.
“That Morgan Stanley Japan note on Nintendo does NOT mean a portable console or the name “MH” is confirmed. They are picturing a scenario,” Serkan explained on Twitter.
“Such “rich” forward-looking analysis and also the wording is standard in investor notes. I know because I read *tons* of them.
“I just received and read it. As I said, they were picturing a scenario. Financial institutions do this kind of future-oriented analysis all the time. The note is much longer than what was released online.
“The analyst clearly says they are just projecting. They use “MH” as a codename to make the report more readable. It’s arbitrary.
“In the note, they compare future/theoretical sales of the “MH” with that of the 3DS, so I guess the short name makes sense.”

I'm so jealous that Europe is getting Mario Tennis marked down to $20 this week - I can get it used for $13ish, but I'd much rather have it right on my console like Mario Golf.
I wish Nintendo would display more than one character on folders...I'm really running out of clever ideas to keep my games organized.
I really like tennis games though - and the 3d family tennis thing isn't fun at all. If I could pay $20 to have it on my system it seems like the perfect lunch break game. With that said, this week I'm buying that convenience store game anyway.
Pocket Card Jockey is my go to game most evenings. It's super addictive. Lunch time is generally Mario Golf because I'm trying to unlock all the courses again (I lost my progress when I upgrade to the n3DSXL).

I can't stop playing this ridiculous horse solitaire.
Looks like today is the day North American Badge Arcade players are introduced to the bullshit that is the "Crane Rod". Ah well, at least the last of main Wario Ware characters have been released. Wasn't expecting them release the Ashley launcher badges as well, though I doubt the rest of the themed Ashley badges will be brought here.

I tried the demo, but I haven't bothered to get the actual game yet. This is largely because I'd like to have a chance to actually play other games.
The animation when you go into the home stretch is probably worth the full price of the game by itself.

Because I had the heads up about how the rod worked on my J3ds it was easy to get the Ashley badges on my NA one
So now I use Ashley's Halloween theme with the badges!
It seems they tweaked the Ashley machine with the rod, I recall in the JP one there was a narrow space you needed to slip the rod through to get the middle thing vertical so you could then move the left thing to get the two left badges.
I got 5 plays from the practice catcher (a 3 bonus, plus 2 for getting 20 badges). Blew them all trying to get the Ashley on the broom that's under those giant green blocks. I managed everything except her and the block above her, and wasted all my turns because the crane would not pick up the block. It'd grab it, lift it, then slide right off it. First time I ever experienced your standard crane bullshit in this game. It's typically felt pretty fair in terms of grip strength, holding on to things I for sure thought would slip.

Well they have Splatoon themed Ashley and Nikki as well as the badge arcade rabbit badges in the Japanese one this week
I will try to take a screen shot as getting Nikki is really not fun
I lost the second race with the horse I picked, and got sent to a G3 race. I won that, and I think I'm now being sent to the G1 race that I would have been sent directly to if I had won the last race. Does this mean that winning early qualifiers actually slightly cripples a horse's development, since they'll race fewer times?

I can't decide whether I hate the rod or the bomb more. The rod pretty much turns a machine into a set puzzle for getting all the badges in 5 plays or less, but gives you something of a feeling of precision and control. The bomb can be good if there's a ton of small badges in the machine, but is horrible if there's only a few big, "heavy" badges, and has all the precision you'd expect a swinging bomb to have.

Nah, not really. Don't worry about it. Just do as well as you can. The real game doesn't start until you complete all the puzzles anyway.

Okay, it's looking like later level-ups are really weak, so I guess it doesn't actually matter, at least for the first bunch of horses.

I've made the decision not to care about anything that isn't pixel art. It helps quite a bit, especially with all of the Pokemon.
If they ever release first-gen Pokemon sprites, I'm screwed.

I'm looking to buy a 3DS for eventual use with Sun/Moon.
- Is this a bad idea at present until we've heard what the NX is and how it relates to handhelds
- Would it matter if I bought a NEW or NOT NEW 3DS as my new device
- Has anybody purchased a NEW3DS, used and is that worth it over new NEW
- Why does Nintendo not seem to be selling NOT XL NEW 3DSs and can I even find those used
- who the hell names a product the NEW PRODUCT and thinks they aren't going to confuse everyone forever

It's super unlikely the NX will be backward compatible, but waiting to find out is still an option.
The N3DS has better load times and overall performance than the 3DS, so get that if you have the option.
The non-XL N3DS systems seem to only be limited editions, so the price just goes up after they sell out. It's actually cheaper to get the XL unless you're willing to wait for another limited edition.

Does the full game of pocket card jockey have all that annoying dialog? I played the demo and almost quit before I even got to play. I like story in some games, but I feel like certain games just need to shut up and let me play and solitaire should be one of those games.

There's also games that load better textures on the new 3DS as well.

Off Track [the horse with the card on it's head} or when your jockey talks to who owns the horse or what not?
Off Track you can turn off with X and he will quietly leave you alone the other part you are screwed on

If you want a 3DS for general use, get a New 3DS XL. It's better and has some enhancements for certain games. If you ONLY care about Pokemon, wait to hear if there's any New 3DS features to it. If you care about those, same advice as above. If not (I expect not), get a 2DS for bottom of the barrel pricing. Game + system should be like $100 if you go 2DS.
Edit: Regarding non XL New 3DS, there's two versions out in the US. One is Animal Crossing and should be available at Gamestop if you have one nearby, but it's like $220, kinda a lot overpriced. The other is a Pokemon one only available from scalpers now.

Worth noting that, because the not XL n3DS has inexplicably been exclusive to collectors editions, there is a fairly good chance there will be a Pokemon SUMO not XL n3DS. So if you decide you want a n3DS but are distinctly uninterested in Animal Crossing, you can try to hold off and see if it comes around.

If you think there can't be adorable porn you haven't been on the internet long enough, sir :P .
I know I've run into some porn that made me wish the actual canon relationships in a series were anywhere near as heartwarming and loving.
