No Analog Mic Works: Wits End Here. . .
Holy hell. I am at my wits end here. For the past two days I have been struggling with getting video recording/audio setup on my PC, and I'm finally in the home stretch. At issue now is trying to get my analog microphones to actually work.
So I have two desktop computers and one laptop. The desktops are built exactly the same (aside from Windows 7/10), so the issues I was having on one were on the other. Essentially I was unable to get any of my mic jacks recognized. Updating RealTek and (ahem) supplying power to the front jacks shows mics as recognized. However, none of my mics (from the phone mic I use on my Android, to an omnidirectional shirt mic) will transmit ANY audio. The computer registers them as being plugged in - however I get no audio recording whatsoever. None of the mics are muted, and running Windows Troubleshooter show nothing is wrong. Every other jack works as intended, and the mics work on other devices (voice recorder on phone for example).
I'm seriously at the end of my rope here. Google doesn't seem to provide any help, as most suggestions are "Get a USB mic" - which won't work here.

There's only one slider (other than the DB one) and is cranked all the way up and not muted.
Yes. Or at least when I plug in and take out it changes under the recording tab.
I picked up a Blue Snowball and it works exactly as intended, so I'm officially flummoxed. I was thinking it had to be the motherboard, but the front panel jacks aren't MB jacks and they work (well the headphone function works).
