I need to give this Aquapolis a try sometime soon by the sound of it.
It's fun. You have to fight a set of themed enemies (for example, one of the possible fights is the full Mandragora Court) then you open the chest.
Then you see if you get lucky, and there are several ways the game can fake you out.
Also, you can get a random gobbie/cyclops spawn that you have to kill quick.
But the experience is always rewarding if you survive, right? You still get something out of the time spent in there if you kill everything?

There is a treasure chest in every room. Kill the monsters, open the chest. Then try to open one of two doors. If you have Donut with you, you get to go to the next room.
...and when you are done with that; take a folding
chair to Creation and then suplex the Void.
As I approach 50, and I know I still have a ton of story quests to go through, I'm thinking I should level a second class up to finish the story. I'm doing Paladin now, I'm thinking either Conj or Arcanist next.

The fights aren't hard - the only real challenge is the random pops (gobbie/cyclops).
The troll doors made me shake my head. When you open a door, one of four things can happen:
* Door opens;
* Shutter lowers, then lifts, door opens;
* Shutter lowers, siren goes off, confetti drops, door opens;
* Shutter lowers, siren goes off, party is ejected.
So whats the loot roll protocol on rolling need on things that aren't necessarily stat upgrades but a set you want to complete for glamors?
Did World of Darkness and rolled need on a piece of demon armor in excitement but felt kind of conflicted about it afterwards.
I just assumed everybody else would that could but thats no excuse.
It's WoD. No one's gonna fault you for playing dressup. That's what everyone is there for after the weekly and pet drops.

Basically a lot of the endgame now has room for glamour need rolls, especially content like WoD from ARR. I would say Weeping City would be the current 24 man non token based endgame place to avoid needing on something you don't need but that's not something you'll need to deal with for some time yet.

I don't know if this plays a role, but of the jobs that I've leveled to 50+, paladin, ninja, arcanist, and astrologian, paladin has been the most ... uninteresting, I think would be the way I'd put it.
I read awhile ago about plans to put in some kind of dungeon for solo or small groups to descend. Is that out or still in the works?

The trouble with having an open mind, of course, is that people will insist on coming along and trying to put things in it. ~ Terry Pratchett

Palace of the Dead, 3.35.
Ahh I was wondering where that was. I can wait a little longer for that.

Yeah I'm Paladin level 47 now and...it's readyr to tank with and I get lots of goodies for that. I might do a white mage just so I can keep my hero in need bonuses. Sadly the gun class from the expansion holds no interest for me, just the tanking class
Yeah, turn 5 is Twintania, who represents a fairly big difficulty spike, so I can imagine why few people would want to run it.
at this point in time, I think my best bet is to get a team together out of FC members.
The main issue is that Twin is only somewhat mitigated by unsyncing the run - she still has a bunch of instant death mechanics.
DIVEBOMB! WHOOOOSH!
Wasn't I dead on the wall when our static cleared that? I'm pretty sure that was the night my shitty madcatz controller wigged out and sent me running straight into the edge, and you guys managed the last 4% or whatever without me.

The Amazon promotion has started. Spend 20 bucks in the video games category on Amazon and you get a game code for the Japan 7-11 promotion items.
And guess what we found in the video games category?
On an unrelated note prices for the expansion are really weird. Want it from Amazon? PC Download code if $40. A physical copy is only $20. The bundle with the game and expansion is $30.

What.
Check who you are buying from. third parties can sell on Amazon. You only get the codes from the promotion if you buy from Amazon themselves. The identity of the seller is shown on the right hand side on my screen.

chair to Creation and then suplex the Void.

If you are searching for stuff, look at the lefthand side where all the filters are. At the bottom is a seller list. Click the "see all" or whatever it is and then click on Amazon.com. That way you don't have to much about looking though all the 3rd party sellers.
Funny story, it turns out that despite saying clearly on the page that it works with all versions of FFXIV, you can't use it if you bought the game on Steam.
This was apparently a Mog Station bug. Fun!

Why can't you? You register the time card on the mogstation.

Are there usually pushy expiration dates on those cards? Never used one before but would definitely consider it if I can just hold on to it for a few months before actually deciding to use it.
This guy really seemed to like it:
I no longer require a physical presence in the mortal realm.

Despite being in metric time, card fulfilled its obligations, although it may have actually been 18 seconds shorter than a full 60 days. I'll need to re-check my calculations. I spent every minute of those 60 days in-game to get my money's worth. My pets died of starvation and my wife left me for our pool boy Hernando, so I suppose its working as intended. On the plus side, I lost fifty pounds maxed every crafting class, and was Eternally Bonded to a Miqo'te named Purrs Mcfuzzyboots. I no longer require my wife, because I have Purrs Mcfuzzyboots. She provides me with Rosewood Logs, all my wife ever gave me was food. Puurs also said she's a Miqo'te IRL (in real life, for you non-gamer types). I couldn't be happier. Thank you, Square Enix, and thank you, Amazon. Five stars.
So I did Cutters Cry earlier and filled out my hunting long. Except I need 1 more stupid bat. I just don't want to run the while dungeon again for 1 enemy in the first room. But I wants my 2,500 seals.

You should also want that sweet sweet exp.
But its such a boring dungeon! And I get more XP from being in random roulette

The first one I saw, ever, shut the door, locked it down, sounded an alarm... And then threw down confetti and opened the door.
The answer is "very".

Seems easy enough to get a group for 1-4 but people really seem to hate turn 5.
I really wish they would create some sort of duty roulette for it to encourage people to run them again.

Love FF14 as always but generally like to take MMO subs on a month by month basis. I can never tell when I'm going to get burnt out on one.
Weird I bought $40 in blizzard cards for a friend today (I gifted them Overwatch basically) and I got no code.
I also need to buy Heavansward...
