Speaking of FNG, I would love to get one going this Friday if people are around. Berylline, you've expressed interest in the past so I'll flag you but does anyone have anything they feel like playing this Friday? I was also thinking it might be fun to do some sort of leaderboard chasing if there's a game that doesn't necessarily have multiplayer. Something like Race the Sun which has a daily challenge. We could all hop on chat and just see who can get the best score.
You're not very good at reading. Too much time in front of the gifting machine, it's made your eyes all gift-shaped!
Sorry, I couldn't make out all those words. I only saw "gift-shaped" so I had to improvise...
PIXIE THIS HAS GOT TO STOP. If this is some choose your own adventure trick, then here's my choice: No more gifts.
@Big Classy My graphics card is technically below minimum (750TI OC) but i reckon i'll be fine still? Put on a 30fps lock.
If a ps4 can run it then so can i damnit.

Just Cause 3: another game I won't be playing until I build a new PC that can actually meet the specs. I will look forward to that one and Fallout 4 whenever I can build one, which will hopefully be next year.
My R9 290x is a smidge above the recommended but my i5 falls a smidge under. This is gonna be close!
I wouldn't stress about it too much, unless they screwed up badly (which I doubt it), you should be able to run the game just fine, it's not like the game will simply not run if you don't meet the specs.
What do requirements even mean these days? Required to run at 60fps? 30fps? And what resolution? Also which quality preset, low, medium?
Finished up Wolfenstein yesterday. It was very good all the way through, except for the last couple hours where I had to turn down the difficulty because I was getting tired of the "shoot all of your bullets into this guy to kill him, oh sorry he is not dead and you have no more ammo" enemies. The sneaking was way more fun than I would have thought it could be, and the story was more engaging than I was expecting. And of course you can't go wrong with double wielding shotguns with bouncing ammo, or dual wielding rocket firing assault rifles.
How does The Old Blood compare? Will probably grab that during the sale if it gets a good discount.
Anyways, onto the next one, Tales from the Borderlands, which the first hour has me thinking will be a great ride. My Xbox One controller is having issues with it though, where the button prompts are wrong for the triggers (left is right and vice versa). Searching around suggests running the game in administrator mode fixes this issue though. How do I do that?

I have an i7 2770 3.4 gHz, but sail above the other requirements. Too bad there won't be a demo copy to try.

I'm watching the Giant Bomb quick look right now, and I really hope that I can run Rise of the Tomb Raider when it comes out on PC. If the specs are outlandish the wait for PS4 will be hellish.

Really? It's... there's no way it's the same game with all the same stuff, though, right?
I would _hope_ that required is everything as low as it goes and recommended is everything as high as it goes.
Still doesn't mean much if they don't mention the resolution or FPS they were aiming for. As low as it goes can mean something like 640x480 for some games just because they support those resolutions and no one would consider that playable.
I'm just saying they should be more explicit about the requirements because there isn't even a standard between different developers. Each one uses their own notion of what is playable and I'm pretty sure all of them announce slightly higher requirements than needed just to play it safe.

It's looking like I should probably wait for this Elite Dangerous expansion to hit before I get the game, because they'll probably be bundled together. I have no idea if I'll enjoy playing the game but I follow and watch several youtube channels that do, and it looks right up my alley.
Or maybe I wait for the PS4 version to hit (at some unknown future date)? Gah.
I am mostly surprised that thein videocard is a 670. Not sure I've seen *70 as minimum before on major release.
I wasn't planning on buying it anyway but it's always a bit shocking when your gpu is possibly below minimum (I got a 760 which is below a 670 in benchmarks)

I've got an i5 2500 (non-k so I can't overclock) with 8GB of RAM and a 3GB R9 280x.
If I have to suffer through low resolutions and blurry textures in order to blow up satellite dishes and ride cows than that is just what I'm gonna have to do and I have come to terms with this.

Just be happy JC3 doesn't require Windows 10. Those specs are most likely inflated, as pointed out, but "DirectX 12 required" could have easily been on there!

My poor Phenom II X6, finally consigned to the "minimum specs" category.
My computer has fallen below minimun specs. I think I can't run new games anymore. Well, back to freecell quest.
I don't agree that your Phenom is bad ,you don't need 8 core for game ,is that 3.0 or ?
Think you quoted wrong person @subi you were looking for @baudattitude . I have a GTX 460 for GPU. and my CPU while I think it is a Quad, is from 5 years ago? And was not top of the line than when I bought it. I could look up all the specs when I get home, but I have been slowly falling farther and farther behind on a computer. I have been able to play a lot of games, and I have such a huge backlog, it doesn't matter for me.
But I am very aware that Alure and family have taken president over my gaming life. I also wouldn't trade Alure and family for a beefy computer and more games. Having little Luke Alure take a nap on me while I also took a nap Sunday is worth way more than all of the above.
Anyway, I digress from steam thread things, so, uh, I need to beat the Witcher still. I know, I'm doing it anway, bad combat and all.

Garry: I know you gentlemen have been through a lot, but when you find the time I'd rather not spend the rest of the winter TIED TO THIS FUCKING COUCH!
Tactical turn based fantasy game with the dark eye rpg system. Which can be a bit of a steep learning curve. Plus the fights can almost be more puzzle like since they often have "bullshit" conditions you have to deal with. I liked it but it's very YMMV. Haven't gotten far in the sequel yet but it has some interesting changes to the character building.
