I've been trying to collect all of Eva Levante's Emblems to finish up that entire page in my collection, I'm now only 6 shaders shy so I decided to start thinking about what other collections of Vendor gear I could finish off.
I wish I'd never asked. I've made up spreadsheets to keep track of what I need from Vendors in terms of ships and sparrows (so I don't need to go back and forth to my collection pad to check against the Vendor's inventory to see what I need).
For ships I'm going to need to spend 154115 glimmer. So just over 6 glimmer caps... fuck.
For sparrows I'm going to need 11250 Glimmer, 875 Legendary Marks and 529 Strange Coins... double fuck.
OH EMM GEE YOU GUYS! Just got the hunter up to rank 5 with Iron Banner and got the Birth of History ship! It looks glorious.
Also got a 310 Iron shell.
No helm though.
Now to rock on with the warlock.
Totally forgot about IB this week until Saturday. "Man, I won't be able to get rank 5." Start playing, playing crap, but knock out three dailies and make some progress on the weeklies before logging off. Sunday morning. Knock out 6 wins, complete two of three dailies and all weeklies boom rank 5. I keep forgetting how easy it is to get 5 in the last couple of days!
Two 310 ghosts, three 290 to 300 chests, it's nice to see post game loot drop.

At least the enemies dont go "No loot, try again next week fuckface" when you kill them in Fallout 4.
I tried activating V.A.T.S on the Oryx fight yesterday, did not work too well.

Now if they just ported a Survivor Outpost building mini game to destiny
Use iron from Mars and some weapon parts to build gun turrets to protect your citizens from roving Fallen!

I did a Kings Fall NM earlier and got nothing until I got to Oryx and I got a double weapon roll, a 302 Pulse and a 308 Rocket Launcher.
All my grumbling was worth it.
I hit rank 5 with IB and got a 310 shell and a 313 helm which was nice. I'm not 307 in my best gear! A few more lucky drops in the raid and ToO and I'll be ready for HM.
So got up to Rank 5 on my titan and got a swank 318 fusion rifle. I think it'll probably end up infusion fuel for my 1000 yard but it at least looks pretty.
On the way I finally took 4th Horseman for a spin in Crucible and while it has absolutely horrible range it is hilarious for it's ability to shut down bladedancers. Even took down two hammerbros who hammered at way the wrong time.
The RNG in this game is bribingly hilarious; I decided to do a quick series of 5 on my hunter, then switch to my alts to try and rank them... and the first game it put me in was against a near complete fireteam made of the Meta... and in the middle of not having fun, I said... I guess I'll just start playing Halo 5 and skip the other toons entirely.
Go through the motions of finishing the match, and it gives me a 315 ghost that gives me glimmer for killing titans. Okay Destiny, I'll finish the series at least.

Just had an Iridescent Bandolier match where two of the enemies were red-bar the whole game. I couldn't land a shot on them. Lost by about 3000 points. Next match, new lobby, join a team down by 4000 and the top guy is... Red-bar and unkillable. People joining and quitting instantly...
My Hunter's Rank 5 reward was a 310 Nirwen's Mercy with a shitty combination of abilities...
I can make my good Nirwen's Mercy 310, or possibly my Hung Jury...
I still have time to decide...
I picked up all daily bounties today, may do it tomorrow and try to finish them all on all characters in IB, just to have a bucketload of bounties ready to turn in the next IB....

They have to have plans for this sometime in the ten-year release arc. When it comes, I'll be staking out a hulk in the Reef; one with a nice view of the Vestian Outpost lights and functional transmat relay. I'll call it The Merch's Perch, and you'll all be welcome to come Carlton in the bar with me any time.
For the first time, ran all three characters up to Iron Banner 5. That end of week / second character bonus is insane! 312 ghost shell, two of the exact same fusion rifle, and all sorts of armor with the Iron Banner logo later, and my third character is now raid ready.
Thanks Saladin! Now if only Vance would be so generous, or just let me go back to the Lighthouse without all the hassle of dealing with lagswitching jerk-bags.
2 rounds away from the Lighthouse, nooo! We sweeped a bunch of matches up to 8 wins on the card, then lost two matches.
Tried again, no losses until the very end, lost a match, then narrowly lost out one single round from the Lighthouse. I don't feel too bad about it though. We had a damned good run.
You know what they say about raid - once you check in you don't check out....

Trying warlock for second rank 5. WHY ARE WARLOCKS NOT TITANS?? This feels like such crap to play, can't get anything done.

also aim assist is a terrible, terrible thing and should be scrubbed from existence.

I'm 2-1 so far.
Of note, if you have rank 5 in IB on one of your characters you can get high light drops on all of them, as my Titan just got a 317 light ghost.
I got a harrowed 320 machine gun and a 313 mark from sisters.
I got 316 gloves but already had 317 but it's nice to have backup.
I'd love to try and kill him on HM if anybody would be up for carrying a scrub on PS4 sometime tomorrow?
