I love pins now and the community around pax

Just wanted to say hi to all the pin collectors. I recently got really into collecting stuff and when i went to pax south (my first pax ever) i bought all the pins i could find and got ones from booths and as well got tycho's (jerry) 2014 pin after talking to him for about 30min sunday i knew that i wanted to be apart of this community even more than before. I have been following pax since 2011 and dreaming of going to one. Also any tips for me a new person getting into pin collecting.

Welcome dude! Like Wasabi said that thread has a lot of awesome resources in it, other than that feel free to ask any questions! I know for me it was kind of intimidating trying to join into a close-knit community like ours but I've made a lot of awesome friends here so don't be shy!

yes @evanephrine I will be, i will be getting in Thursday night most likely depends on classes but i should be. I already have my 3 day pass. Also question did anyone know how many of the PAXSouth2015Polygon pin there were. I tried getting one saturday but they were gone for me

And I have another question when will they announce or give us the list of what pins will be there at pax because i am defiantly going to be hunting for them

1500 of each of the Polygon pins. The list of pins is usually released 1-2 weeks before each PAX.

Yup! If you follow Brian (@Retnus) on Twitter he usually keeps us up to date with numbers and releases. The Limited Edition pins at PAX tend to go pretty quickly, within an hour or two once the merch booth opens so a lot of us line up an hour or more early.

Glad you've decided to join us. You'll find the community quite welcoming and happy to answer questions. As mentioned earlier, the community resources are a good place to start. A significant number of the pin pal community are also on the chat apps (Whatsapp & Slack) so it might be worth checking those out. And as always, post on the forums. Cheers!
