I've a thought on how to get merch nearer to the staff trading event, some form of wheeled bench/desk/whatever with a POS terminal and stowage for (x*staff/2)...say 800 pin sets or perhaps not as the first fifty through with max sets might end up triggering a mass table refresh plus I think my math's tad off.
Hey man, Merch lite was manned just outside of the pin trading hall about 30 metres up :P But that is a tempting sales pitch :P

It did go for a tad long. I spotted the dad and his kid (the ones new to Pinny Arcade) from the prior panel towards the back and they left after 70 minutes because they were bored sitting in the line. Pity.

That's about where I was in the queue after heading from the panel straight to Merch lite. I suppose most newbies in the queue were hoping to trade up to staff pins.
The permanent pin trade/advise table probably could do with a sign, maybe a PAX XP QR code to help bring some traffic that way.
It was probably mentioned in here already, but the 14th ep of the staff podcast had an interesting post-AUS breakdown of the trading event.
I was just thinking maybe we should have a round table set up in the corral area the community volunteers could put some pins down on to promote trading in that section.

But that's by how the crow flies, the actual travel distance is more convoluted due to the traffic flow & control in the queue room.
I'm also one of those who is regretting not having a few more starter pinsets (particularly PAX Aus '14) on hand to do more staff trades.
