So Striker is the "ridiculous special moves" style localization name? It is crucial that I be permitted even bigger explosions.
E: Best explosion feels in 4U, in priority order:
1) Shooting a thing out of the air and killing it. Managed it on Azure Rathalos and Seregios so far.
2) Shooting a thing out of the air in general.
3) Blowing someone else up just as they are about to get jacked up.
4) Repeatedly knocking a Ukanlos or similar over with explosions.
5) Making absolutely sure that monster that went off and took a nap never wakes up.
I can only imagine the havoc I can wreak with the giant DBZ-style explosion, let alone stab attacks that actually hurt when I heat things up!

ARGH! I've been running Poison Patrol over and over trying to get a freakin Gypceros head to no avail. I've been breaking their heads but it's still not dropping. If it's for the gunlance the Princess Panoply line is better since it doesn't essentially demand Mind's Eye in HR and you'll end up replacing it with the Chameleos one long-term. Skip it. I got really good at stunning them with a Hammer getting that done and it ended up being kind of a waste.
I'm tempted to dig back into 3U at some point just to have a chance to fight its monsters again. 4U's roster is worse enough that it can't serve as a complete replacement.
The new third poke looks interesting. 70-charge is good, but I don't like losing the little hop-attack. Bushido not costing any stamina sounds unfair, but it costs good arts.

It also costs the side hop which is pretty large. Bushido basically forces you to go all in and be good at your blocks. Making it cost stamina would be too punishing I feel.

Sorry if I missed it, but wasn't there some talk about MH4U saves being used somehow in Generations? Was there any specific info about how this would work? I haven't put nearly as much time into 4U yet as I'd like, and I tend to fall into the "Next one is coming out soon, so I might as well wait for that instead..." trap easily.

There's a 7* caravan quest that has him and a Conga. He's also the random subquest for the Forest Harvest Tour at that level.
That's helpful, thanks. One other thing, I only have but like three or four caravan 6* quests available. They are all advanced: something terrible. I'm on shipping out I think. Is there something I need to do to reveal more 6* quests?

TBF I think they're just here this time around to represent the older titles for the "generations" concept. If/when there's an MH5 I would imagine (hope) they get turfed for the better models.

I clicked "Agree" really hard, but it doesn't seem to have registered the extra emphasis.
The old dino-raptors are way less entertaining and interesting than the dog-raptors. The raptors also have such limited attack options (bite or pounce) that they rely on a mechanic I loathe -- the kind that makes their pounce attack's path through the air a curved quarter-circle rather than a straight line. Jaggi-likes didn't need that kind of garbage because they had various sweeping attacks at their disposal.
I will admit that the Deathprize paralysis SnS line is pretty sweet, but that's about it. If the issue was turf, the Wroggis would have been right at home in the new prehistoric jungle stage.

Eh your right. I should probably just stop wasting my time in LR making stuff. I'm not a noobie, so I could just rocket through everything with the gear I've currently got probably. I'm mostly just using rathian armor gemmed to give +2 fire attack and a rathalos lance. I also have a zamtrios set that I use with a charge blade of the same mon, as well as a nercylla gunner set and several bows. That's probably enough LR crap to get me by, lol. :P
I agree about Great Jaggi vs the 'dromes. I actually sometimes just enjoy fighting a g. jaggi, mostly because of the music. The only drome I'd love to see back is the Bulldrome. Bring on the giant pigs!!

Rajang is a thing where I just don't even try to get his equipment. I can kill it no problem, but I know I can't reliably break his horns at all, so I'm going to save myself grief and not even try. Just kill the fucker and move on.
