Ran through some key quests then everyone DITCHED me to go to BED. So I soloed Seregios.
Wolf's Maw and Lightning aerial duals. I am the real bird of a thousand blades or whatever, nerd monster : (
I should really get level 2 or 3 Wolf's Maw, some day. In a way, I like Aerial Slam more, because no lame evil aura, and it's awesome to flinch or mount stuff with it. On the other hand, it feels like I'll go entire hunts without being able to use it really, and Wolf's Maw turns you into an elemental sword catastrophe.

I stopped reading at this point due to rage blindness.
That Sharpness +5 Insight +3 charm I picked up the other day has me interested in the Insight skill so Wolf's Maw charges faster, but looking at what else offers it does not give me hope.
So, y'all said that Knockout King doesn't actually do much. is there a skill that actually helps with knockout, or should I just focus entirely on Stamina Thief?

I'd stick with Stamina Thief.

Sounds about right. Exhausting a monster every few minutes is a pretty good tool.
Well, ended up doing some HR Narga to get the level 3 version of that LS because it has 2 sockets unlike my current steve longsword, and 2 sockets lets me get Razor Sharp with this +5 Sharpness 1 slot charm. And in doing so I got 3 Medullas in a single fight, so now I have to go break a S. Queen's tail a few times and I can have a 160 raw LS w/ 40% affinity.
Then it's time to go get some nice SnSes since I've been neglecting it since LR.

Just started theorycrafting a bit
Came up with an Aerial GS setup using Akantor GS with Hayabusa Feather, Akantor Arms R, Akantor Legs R, Aelucanth Waist S, and five Vault decos.
Still haven't chosen chest or charm, but that's Blunt Edge, Critical Eye +3, and Vault
uh obviously bulldrome should be in every mission duh
You joke about this, but I'm pretty sure there's a Bulldrome + Deviant mission in a lot of the Deviant leveling lists. I've fought a Hellblade + Bulldrome and Dreadking + Bulldrome. When you kill the Bulldrome, he respawns about 5 to 6 minutes later.
We need a Mohran back simply so we can get the Mohran/Deviljho dual hunt that I've always wanted.
You climb on the Mohran's back, swing your pickaxe at one of his scales, and it turns our it was actually the Deviljho, lying in wait.
This is a bad idea. This does not need to be entertained.
Pro-strat: Placing the Anti-Dragon bombs and Lg Barrel Bomb+ next to the mining point just before you hit it, for a good burst of initial damage.
Gives new meaning to the term Stylish Bombing.
Mostly just huntin' monsters.

Made it to the offline credits, even for MH the story is pretty barebones, I actually kinda liked the little narrative in Tri/4U, this one less so, but no matter, it's hardly a major concern.
Glavenus gets the credit for monster to triple cart me, had to upgrade my armour to avoid getting one hit by it's charged sweeping spin. Fun fight though.
Guess it's time to finish up what village quests I can and go hammer out the guild hall stuff.

Glavenus reminds me of how I initially felt about Brachydios
Namely, this monster is super aggressive and I can't figure out when I'm supposed to attack safely
I eventually want to go back to the CB and give it another shot.
I worked so hard to not be a trash heap in 4U with CB, people who can guard point are some sort of dark wizards, that stuff is insane.
I beat most of 4U with a CB without even learning how to do a guard point. The weapon was plenty good enough without it. It seems somewhat weaker this time around, though, from the couple times I've rolled it in Generations.

I am somewhat surprised that I have not yet triple-carted in this. I think the only missions I've even failed in a group were capture quests where we killed the thing by accident? Maybe Ceanataur got me and Entaru once?
I don't think I tripled in 4U until the Hermitaur HR gatekeeper mission. There's no such equivalent here really, and ranking up in a group is much easier so maybe that's what's different this time around for me.

So far the only mission failures I've had were a few Balangongas, that Ceanataur and the Deviljho I posted for funsies that the group was not ready for but I expected it to probably go south anyway.

My first triple cart was my attempt at Super Saiyan Arzuros. That didn't go super well.
I did get one and two carts every now and then, though. Blangonga carted me once, and I'm pretty sure Gammoth took a couple carts out of me before going down.
I abandoned my first attempt at solo Plesioth urgent because I knew it wasn't gonna go well after two carts. Beat it the second time with better prep.
Edit: Oh actually my first (and only, for now) mission failure was duoing Gammoth with fRAWRst now that I think about it. Almost mission failured deviant Lagombi with my girlfriend too, but she was still at base armor stats so was nowhere near ready (I think the jump attack literally ate her whole health bar in one hit)

They made a couple of subtle changes to bring the weapon back down to earth from where it was in 4U. Guard pointing an attack will now finish the transition to axe mode if the attack is weak enough, leaving you a lot more open than the block cancel did in 4U.
You also can't go straight into a super burst after a guard point, or from sword mode at all, which was probably the most broken part about the weapon in 4U. Landing a safe super burst requires a significantly larger window than it did before.
It's still a really good weapon though, and very fun. I've mostly been using S&S in gen since I like to switch things up, but I mained the charge blade in 4U and still bring it out against some monsters in gen when the mood strikes.

Armor sets save your color pigment now.
Looks like I'm just going to keep wearing this pink nonsense armor with no skills a lot longer than I planned to.

Gotta get that Hyabusa Feather.

So begins my crazy decent into armor set making madness. . .
edit: and also it doesn't really matter. in the end which one of these I make first has everything to do with what charms I farm up.

No idea what skills I should aim for or anything.
Still, it's an interesting weapon. I think I still like SA more as far as transforming weaponry goes, but CB has more depth to it if I feel like it.
Been trying a few other things like SnS which worked out fairly well since it's similar enough to DS in attacking opportunities.
Nothing has been quite as sublime as hammers but what is.

He just has so little downtime in between his attacks
Like rolling right at his leap slam to avoid damage, any other direction you get hit without iframes due to the size of it.

Online at least, part of the way to avoid his nastier attacks is to just stay right under him. Or above him.
