I've heard it argued that always-online requirements are bad because some people live in backwater regions where internet speeds still claw and bite to surpass 1Mbps, or have the consistency of tap water, or are reliable like a habitual liar, or other comparison what is bad.
My stance is we need more technology that forces people in those places to demand that their providers put them in line with the rest of us in the year 2015. I thought the Xbox One had a bold, forward-thinking stance, and then they backpedaled all their everything and made me sad.
