In a letter I received from you two weeks ago
I noticed a comma in the middle of a phrase
It changed the meaning. Did you intend this?
One stroke and you’ve consumed my waking days
It says:
"My dearest Angelica"
with a comma after "dearest"
You've written
"My dearest, Angelica..."
My dearest, Angelica
“Tomorrow and tomorrow and tomorrow
creeps in this petty pace from day to day”
I trust you’ll understand the reference to
another Scottish tragedy without my having to name the play
They think me Macbeth, ambition is my folly
I’m a polymath, a pain in the ass, a massive pain
Madison is Banquo, Jefferson’s Macduff
and Birnam Wood is Congress on its way to Dunsinane
My dearest, Angelica

And then later when Angelica makes her last ditch attempt to get him to take a break, she says, "Screw your courage to the sticking point."
There are just constantly layers, references, and callbacks in this thing.

I guess I'll have to hope for a Ted Neely style return someday if I want to see him perform live. :-(

I feel like Lin-Manuel Miranda and Leslie Odom jr should try out each other's roles at least once. Lin-Manuel complained that he gave Burr all the best songs, while Leslie said he feels bad for killing Hamilton every day.
So I've been trying in vain to find another book about the Hamilton period of history that isn't full of shit and as awesome as Chernow's book was. It's clear that most of these were written well before Hamilton's resurgence. One of thes books literally refers to Alexander as "scheming" Scheming. As if 'twere a Lvl20 Rogue/Bard with Chaotic Good alignment.
I'd also prefer something further along in to history, which is why I haven't just bit the 42 hour-bullet that is Chernow's Washington biography.

I mean
Alexander was scheming, that is kind of his thing
He was actively antagonistic to several of the other major political figures at the time, and, unsurprisingly, this earned him quite a bit of ire
If you want to read something that portrays history in the exact same light as Chernow's book, then you should probably reread Chernow's book
Historical perspective is not a perfect consensus (thank god), and you need to be able to read multiple viewpoints and ideas about what happened in history in order to develop your personal beliefs and understanding about the events and people of any given point in time

So I read this entire thread when I started listening to the OCR. There was somebody in this thread who organized a sing-along in their city, but I can't remember who it was and don't really want to dig through 60 pages to find it, lol. Anybody remember? I had some questions about the planning process.

Some of the coincidences are crazy as hell, though. Hamilton being duped by Benedict Arnold's wife, who ends up later marrying Aaron Burr? (This is the Theodosia from the musical)
