If you want any tips, I think he's one of the most rewarding heroes to play in the game. And once you git gud you can have those 175 last hits before the 20 minute mark.
I want to like Antimage. He's got a blink and his mana break sound effect plus the ridonkulous mana drain it provides is super cool - plus his ult is super satisfying. But the whole 30-40 minutes to come online thing....nyeeerrhrrhhhh. Ain't nobody got time for that.
Plus I'm in suck tier, where kills>farm unless you're a good enough farmer that you don't belong in this tier anyway.
Anti-mage is the type of hero you play when you want to learn about power spikes and how to hit item timings. A decent antimage comes online around 22 minutes, but can still be very useful until that point. It is extremely powerful for AM to TP late into a fight to get off a good mana break.
So I tried out Dragon Lance on safelane WR, thinking I could be a safe tower pusher and a complement to our offlane Void's Chrono - and just general early game tankiness. It worked...alright. During a high ground push I got a critical kill on Sniper from the other side of a Chrono that I don't think I could have gotten without Lance, but blink might have done the trick anyway. Plus early game I think it slowed down my Agh's too much, and late game it filled up a slot I really wanted free. It was a fun idea to try though. Maybe a valid situational item on offlane WR?

Did you disassemble it to get your aghs and then rebuild it after like all the Enchantresses are doing?

* Deafening Blast's knockback is no longer a hard disable (affected units can cast abilities and items)
* Deafening Blast's disarm portion rebalanced to keep same overall effectiveness as before (it previously applied disarm only after the knockback disable, numbers rescaled to keep same overall duration where they cannot attack)
Surprised to see a balance patch for just one ability.

I'd rather see them nerf the offlane creep camp giving every offlaner jungle farm for free.
What size camp is it? Do you think making it a small camp would be alright, or does it need something more...substantial?
By the way, I have just started to realise that DOTA is a completely different game when you stick to a core of heroes you know. For a few months up to like a week ago, DOTA was making no sense to me. I couldn't read the map, I didn't know what to do, and I just sorta randomly threw spells around. But I stated to draw up a core groupd of ~10 heroes I liked and succeed with, and suddenly DOTA makes sense again.
I'm enjoying DOTA again! Even the losses feel like learning experiences instead of this smudge on the record of my waking hours. I haven't felt this in tune with DOTA for a loooong time.
It's a large camp, which is 50% more gold/exp than a small camp. That might do it, but being able to stack ancients for your carry every time you go to clear the camp is a part of the problem too.

Well, it was kinda silly that Invoker had ravage.
You mean ravage+?
Essentially ravage with a much shorter cooldown.
I have been getting pretty frustrated with teammates these days (seem to always be #5 to a 4 stack) so I enabled a script to auto mute everyone and concentrate on the support path on the battle pass. I did this on Friday and got one of those conduct report things after my 2nd game saying I had 3 x commends and zero reports.
Come Sunday I tried to play a game with some friends to learn I am muted for communication abuse. Fuck you dota.
My new conduct report? 8 reports over 10 games. WTF? I played my little heart out and just accepted I would be the solo hard support every game and did quite well in my opinion.
Things like this want make me want to just delete the game and move on.

Again, I haven't done a whole lot in DotA as much as I have in HotS, but I do really think if you're at the point of muting everyone by default, either stop playing or play with bots. It's a team game whether you like who you're paired with or not. If we're trying to ask one person for help or to organize a gank or something with our words butthey literally never responds the entire game? Yeah, I wouldn't be surprised if someone threw out a report there. I certainly get frustrated as hell when that happens in HotS (which does have a checkmark "mute everyone all the time" option for some braindead reason). Because it's like one of your teammates just isn't playing the game with the rest of you, and that makes things a lot harder.
Plus if you're ignoring four stacks for entire games they're all going to jump on and report you at once (if DotA allows for that, maybe there's some measure to prevent multiple party members reporting the same person).

I probably do need a break. My last game had all three of our carries buying radiance. And our alch went the classic Radiance/battle fury/ mjolnir build. And I do mean those items in that order. No boots till 30 min in and we were down to barracks.

Oh, I have to do it with Anti-Mage. Dear god no.
My luck with these specific hero challenge is the absolute worst.

It is, maybe, but you have to get 175 last hits and win the game for it to stick. Anti-Mage's global winrate is abysmal, and it's abysmaler when I'm playing him, so, well, yeah

You flat out need a babysitter. And the early aggression meta is not doing her any favors.
Yeah. Spectre is probably my favorite carry. But needs a dedicated support for about 8+ minutes so you can start to do some farming alone. But if you can fast radiance around 20 ish, and haunt in for ganks, you just dominate.

I dunno, Spectre is like the highest winrate carry in the game right now. And that's across all MMR brackets. Getting early last hits with her ain't easy though, that's true.
That said, even though I'm a big fan of the Battle Pass challenges I don't like the hero-specific ones at all. Some of them just make you play sub-optimally. I mean, the 90 seconds of disable was a more fun challenge imo, because all you had to do was ask "what hero with a shit ton of long duration and/or AoE disables do I want to play?" Instead of "Lion. I'm playing Lion."
So, Aghs on silencer. Its a stupid pick-up now, right? I did it last night out of habit but after the game I re-evaluated (ie read what aghs does) and realized it was a shit pick-up. Am I missing something?

It's sub optimal for sure but adding the aoe effect during a teamfight is not the wort thing.

It turns Gush into a skillshot that can hit multiple targets, has a silly range, and a low cool down. It's pretty great.

Gush goes to 1800 range with a 240 width aoe on a point target instead of unit target.

Aghs was built around Curse of the Silent, which did damage and ate mana. Arcane Curse doesn't eat mana and so yeah, Aghs is pretty much worthless until Frog fixes it.

Curses do stack so I can see popping global silence and putting the debuff on everyone then reapplying it immediately with the actual spell before a teamfight starts to be pretty effective. You are forcing them to cast spells because of the fight and each successive cast reapplies.
Still would probably not go down that route. silencers right click is just too strong.
You know the dark side of the otherwise really cool new trend to help the other team with their challenges when all is lost? Players are now spoiled and expect it once they and they alone have decided they've won. Our team spent the last 15 minutes of a match fending off megas, and cobbled together a mid push or two before losing. We were called salty cunts because we thought trying to win was more important than throwing and giving their Earthshaker his challenge.
On the plus side, the Battle Pass has made me love Lion again. That's cool.

I wish I could get Lion, but whenever I play him I just get annoyed by how seemingly ineffectual I am. Spike doesn't seem to do much and I can't get those fabled ravage with it, mana drain doesn't drain enough for my tastes, finger's cooldown is too high to do anything worth until I get high enough level, my hp and mp are too low all the time and overall I feel like I NEED a blink dagger to approach being a danger.
