That was a very conservative match on Liquid's part but it was what they needed to do. Lane pressure, a core that gets stronger the longer the match goes on, and a pretty competent setup for team fights.
Having casters also and just playing all the audio simultaneously = not a great idea.
Having casters who love hearing themselves talk = very not a great idea.
I like Ayesee's voice but his extreme professionalism, which means zero downtime, is a real downside when there are a bunch of other people talking too who I'd rather hear.

Hearing a Chinese player say, "Ooooooooohhhhhhhhhhh SHIT" over open mic = great results.

I have bad news...
Just watched VODs. Game 1 was bananas. Great matchup. A little sad for VP -- they can be fun to watch, but rooting for liquid going forward.
Stop picking wyvern for the love of god it just loses all the time.

Wyvern has a 0% winrate on main stage. She's just not very impactful and then she dies because she has twelve HP.
Oh I just realized the allstar game was still to go.

I love that the crowd claps in unison with Earthshaker thumpin' his drum.

... Well that was a fast match. Damn that was one-sided. Committing all their ults they got one kill, and it was an Aegis, and it took forever to make happen.

Holy fuck I'm dying. I thought the commentator segment just now was going to be something where they're up their own asses but it was actually really funny.
"OH MY GOD STRATEGIC PAUSE"
"ITS LIKE A LIBRARY IN HERE"
"THE AUDIENCE IS ASLEEP"
"OH MY GOD CREEP IS PUSHING"
"CREEP IS PUSHING"
"AAAAAAAHHHHHHHH"
"UUUUUUUUUUUUUUHHHHHHHHAAAAAAA"
Because if you're going to attempt to squeeze that big black monster into your slot you will need to be able to take at least 12 inches or else you're going to have a bad time...
LGD getting duped by the Morphling illusion and blowing all their ults will never get old.
That was amazing. What a turn around Liquid made in that match, not just evening the playing field but dominating the map. I disagreed with the commentators when LGD stole the Rosh kill and Aegis. It didn't get them shit and they didn't even make use of it.
I was worried at the start of the match but any dingdong team can take 3 or 4 players to kill one on the other team. Oh noes. Such power. Such stronk.
Edit - Like ganking of that sort throughout laning phase only matters if you're constantly griefing the carry. But Morphling had a free ride.
It was pretty impressive how quickly the AI would take advantage of any small thing that it could, even baiting an attack and then take a LH instead because it was worth more than the damage to Dendi.

Wow, where was this Liquid in the first round? That match against LGD was an example of why I picked them to win. Almost effortless dominance. Not sure they can come all the way back, but at least it looks like it might be possible.

Liquid has had to fight some of the hardest opponents in the main event and here they are, about to go against the monstrous LFY tomorrow. And then potentially Newbee. If they make it to the grand final, win or lose, people need to give Liquid some props because goddamn.

Hell, people should give Liquid some props already. They has some good performances in between the last major and this TI, but I dont't think ANYONE expected them to take first in group stages then go on their current run.

Two new heroes? As in, NEW new? Because there's nobody left from DotA 1 right?
Last DotA 1 hero was Underlord (Pit Lord) last year.
Technically I think the hints for Monkey King were also in the old DoTA 1 map, but he was never released there. This time it's all new.
Sylph does not look like she's the "Fourth Brother". The Fencer as I'll call him seems to be from Bristleback's race, but he's about speed where Bristle is brute force.
I can forgive the whole "Pudge barely wins so it will encourage more terrible Pudge players" thing now.

I'm lucky if I remember to do it before my avalance toss combo as tiny.
That was some advanced Mutumba and Miracle insanity. Miracle had zero fear.
