I love this because it helps flesh out the "world"
Mmos are always talking about "oh we want people to be able to just craft or just explore and not just kill things"
But destiny is really pulling it off. You can do end game pve(raid) end game pvp in two different ways and now maybe sparrow racing. All of those leading to end game gear with similar stats but different aesthetics is great.

That's awesome IMO and more ways to allow folks to get max gear so they can do other stuff when they want is great
Yeah this is how I feel. the fact that there are so many legitimately different ways to Express Yourself in Destiny is great.
Also the racing looks pretty dang awesome. Love that there are vex just hanging around on the track.
Watching you squirt out like that was pretty funny, less so when it happened, but after, yeah. That happened to me on one run, I squirted right close to where an ogre spawns. I think I was able to make it back though, as it happened earlier. Playing as guy who just stands in the centre really messed me up, everytime someone called run, I took off like I had some where to go.
This is from the 2nd time it happened today, from @Booker and Drelloktv's POV , I'm sitting perfectly still - Flash of Light - Suddenly I get melee physic'sed again all over to the left side? ... :x fix your physics mechanics already, bungie.
Booker's video had the best example of it, for sure. I know it's happened to me before where I get physics'd out by a thrall and suddenly dead.

2-3 times in a row with physics bullshit is enough to get my temper flaring. (Good thing mute buttons exists.)
On the 1st attempt I only survived only because I was the one holding the invincibility aura, the timing was just perfectly horrible, a single second more before Oryx did his AOE thing and I would have made it back.
If that stuff happens again, I'll let someone else be the runner before I make a certain controller fly through my window and out on the street.

Where did this assumption that literally everything will be pay-to-win come from?
I've posted gameplay. You get a free sparrow with the same stats as all the others, you straight up get purple-quality gear up to 320 as drops from finishing races. You'd think that someone would have said if you had to pay to race, considering this was a public event where anyone could try it and multiple Destiny community members tried it out.
But everyone immediately assumed that you'll have to spend out the ass to do anything. Why?
I like(d?) being the runner on Oryx but its a fucking pain when you repeatedly gets "PHYSIC'ed" and people probably think you are just taking a nice little walk away from them because you felt like it, meanwhile this is the shit I'm seeing on my screen.
Erevar since I think he gets a little too much enjoyment from this and wasnt present.
I did get the 320 relic from the challenge mode and a 320 Machinegun from the Warpriest himself, so thats better loot than I've gotten in 2 months.
I think I saw Nosf go from like 304 to 311, so I guess he had a good run too.
Have somebody drop an AoE grenade on the group when they get back from detonating the corrupted light. It makes the colors go weird, but that will never happen again.

Flawless Victory 2.0, Jesus this shit still feels completely awesome even now, I'm amazed that the feeling of reaching the Lighthouse hasn't diluted more.
We didnt spend the Mercy Boon this run either 8-) so no losses and straight to the Lighthouse! (We are not mentioning the first run where we went 7-1, because that would ruin our street cred... Fuck)
I need a Year 3 Flawless Emblem to finish off this collection.
Congrats guys! You had a lot of near successes in Y2 so far, so glad to hear you finally made it!
Flawless probably was one of, if not the most rewarding experiences in Destiny, alongside first time raids. But that's mostly because it was a feeling of slowly, slowly getting better.
Element, I'm sure if you work at it, you'll get a chance, and though it's frustrating to have not had a chance to play with people thus far, just keep asking. Folks sometimes are busy or have obligations and the like, but eventually you'll get a group together. But honestly the best thing to do is just practice, even if that is with non-PA people. There are good people on LFG, and someone will show you the ropes, particularly with the new bounty scheme.

So, Thumbs Up/Down literally only makes sense if we can equip more than 1 emote.
I am also pleased to note that it looks like what I predicted (privately) is true for the emotes in that they weren't simply being replaced with randomness, but that "legacy emotes" are now for gambling and the current crop are direct purchases.

We did a few Trial runs early Y2 then not a lot in a month or more (partially due to Fallout 4 :P ), at least thats how it was for me.
I had a rough time moving over to using Pulse Rifles in PvP at TTK launch.

We arent trying to exclude anyone, we've just played together for quite a while and our teamwork seems to really click at times, I know how it can suck finding a group, since I had troubles too, @Arteen and I grouped up and looked for a 3rd for quite a long time which could feel a little shitty, @Booker was in one of our raid groups.
The best you can do is work on your gear and be ready to go with a group into Trials, especially since the Meta is going to be switched around very soon and new weapons will be the top dogs.
Pay attention to the Meta, try out the "Better Guns" and see if one of them works for you, I could never really get into Nirwen even though its a great gun, I found myself going back to Red Death all the time, I used Red Death today too.
@Chanus it's too bad that we are of different species (PS4 vs X1) because, while I've had the game since release, I was never able to put in enough time or get organized enough to do the raids other than being essentially carried through by Arcadians who knew what to do already. I would love to do a regular run of Y1 raid content, even just once a month or something.
I also really enjoyed my attempt at Trials a few weeks ago but again, it's hard to get a group together, and at this point I probably want to PvP mostly with my Hunter, which means I have to finish filling out her Bladedancer and Nightstalker trees before I'm "ready" for Trials.
There's a whole lot of stuff I would love to do in this game, if only the rest of life would slow its roll for awhile so I could schedule events instead of having a stolen hour or two here and there to go become legend.
@Corporal Carl - that cloak, I covet it. The green cast to my eyes is not an artifact of the camera; I straight-up covet your exotic FWC cloak. I only have ...22 more ranks to go. :bigfrown:

We did that after the first time, I used Solar Grenades at my feet to keep Thralls away (and still got Physic'ed once more) and I think @Nosf said he was doing some AoE grenades on my face too, we got extremely unlucky with that, never tried it being that funky before.
When I play my Warlock I always drop a grenade in there, the solar grenade always does the trick. I'm pretty gunshy as a Titan with grenades, I died on Warpriest when I stuck a thrall and he rushed me and killed us both. Warlocks can sit in their grenades, Titans have to run away from them which has always resulted in my Titan using them a fair bit less. I also drop a grenade at my feet on Golgoroth which works really well during the taken phase.
I heavily favoured my Warlock in Y2, and it shows, I felt really off playing as the titan but I did go from 304 to 311 or so, which was a really nice boost.

Also, @Booker is totally hacking the game, just look at his subclass, a Sunbreaker/Striker hybrid, there is even a node selected with nothing in it.
(This is apparently what happens if he changed to Sunbreaker from Striker and I was looking at abilities, hybrid builds could be badass though.)

i didn't really start raiding until HoW was almost out so i haven't been completely burnt out on them
@Arteen is sometimes soloing Crota HM for... Fun? (He's crazy) He did it last week too, thats where @jefe414 finally got his Crux of Crota despite how much his brain refused to acknowledge it, even though the yellow item was glinting in his face.
Probably your best bet to get on his good side and luck into that if you want gear from there.
