I want to believe him, but it's pretty hard to believe.
Spencer has been pretty honest about shit before, I would give him the benefit of the doubt
Plus, dude would probably want a Steve Rogers book that sells huge right along side the film as much as Marvel since he gets royalties on trades and whatnot
I don't think anyone ordered him to do it; but I do imagine someone at least had a conversation with him about it and he felt okay working it into his plans.
Honestly I think people forget the creators want books to sell a shit ton just as much as Marvel does
Skottie Young made a crazy amount of money (for comics) off of Rocket Raccoon because it went well above the usual sales threshold thanks to LootCrate and also did very well in hardcover/trade, Bendis joked that it would be his kid's college fund
It is pretty easy for me to believe that creators would be just as aware of the sales potential and demand for big relaunches alongside films as the publishers and would want a cut of that
I think we're basically saying the same thing, Blank.
I wasn't disagreeing with you! I was just saying that people always say it is forced editorial demands when creators consistently say it isn't and the logical thing is that they are just as aware of the pattern as we are and want to make some money
I think the one Marvel title I'll get monthly is ANAD Avengers. Everything else besides Standoff and Civil War 2 will be trade but with a potential LASIK procedure soon I'll have even less spending money for comics.

Think how good those comics will look with your new laser eyes

Look on the bright side; your procedure might go horribly wrong and you get superpowers and then you won't need comics anymore! You'll be living them in real life!

But then he will burn them with his new laser eyes
DC did a big special thing where they revealed concept art for Justice League and confirmed some stuff and had Wonder Woman footage and a new Suicide Squad trailer

I was agreeing to what the fuck was happening in those Flash images.
It means we’ll have two Captain Americas. When Steve handed the shield to Sam, it didn’t come with any caveats. It’s his. Steve respects and admires what his old partner is doing, and wants him to carry on. There are enough problems out there, and enough bad guys, to keep both of them busy. They’ll have very different missions; Sam will continue fighting the battles no one else will go near, while Steve is faced with a resurgent threat from his past: Hydra is back, and stronger than ever.
For me, it’s great, because I get to tell two very different kinds of Captain America stories. If you’re liking what we’re doing in CAPTAIN AMERICA: SAM WILSON, with a more topical, of-the-moment take, we’ve got a lot more of that coming your way; but if you’re looking for that classic, timeless version, the one that’s steeped in the Greatest Generation with Cap fighting the face of true evil, now we’ve got that for you as well. I think they’ll complement each other nicely.
Man, I kinda wish it wasn't Hydra, since the very first issue of Sam's series made a point about how Sam and friends had worked tirelessly to make them a non-issue. I know that they're the villains for Steve and 'cut off one head' etc, but it still feels a bit soon.
The flip-side is if Spencer is as creative with them as he has been with the Serpant Society.
I'm guessing Spencer always planned for Hydra to not actually be dead since by the time Sam Wilson came out he had to have known he was writing Steve Rogers
I am interested in seeing what he does with them. Especially if Zemo is still leading them.
Kriesberg confirmed it is Reverse Flash from an earlier point in his timeline, before he got stuck in the past, who is now showing up.

Is the Joker the bad guy in Suicide Squad?
I mean... they're all bad guys, but is he the big, bad that the Squad is put together to stop? Because that might be the best way to use the Joker in that movie.
A better song? Or a more appropriate song? Choose wisely.
Not really more appropriate a song about murderer begging for forgiveness and then deciding "You know what? Fuck that" and riding off on a riff of pure defiance.

Other than, you know, not using him.
It looks like it'll be a magical villain. There's that short scene in the subway with some monster destroying a train.

by the look of it, all or at least most of the Joker stuff is gonna be relegated to flashbacks pertaining to Harley's background

The first issue of Sam Wilson does specifically mention that they're decimated but not defeated, I didn't expect nor want them to be gone for good. They're Hydra, they're fantastic villains. But again, it feels a bit premature.
The Superior Foes of Spider-Man creative team is launching a book in April about criminals doing bad things badly and the cover features a Comedy Bang Bang reference so I am 100% buying this.

Laser eyes will burn the paper!
It's true! So read ANAD Avengers and Angela, then you're basically set.
You are leaving fingerprints EVERYWHERE
Hey, that thing has a real personality!
I don't think I'll see it, but that looks like a movie someone made, instead of a grimdark piece of Cinematic Universe (tm) concocted in a lab
Like they still could've picked a better song, but this was a big step in the right direction

Trailers hitting teh right buttons but I can't hep but notice the Girls seem to be taking backseat to the men.

She was funny, charismatic, gelled with the cast very naturally, sound-minded
So of course someone else had to be portrayed as unreasonable, and this week was Wally's turn
I'm kinda amazed anybody thought they were really 'dead' tbh
that's why we call it the struggle, you're supposed to sweat
and I mean, they get credit for picking the music but I think a lot of things would look good set to bohemian rhapsody

yes hello this is relevant to my interests, is there a preview or any more information?
