I could not believe they spent so long talking about VR games on this Bombcast. It was torture.

I know this is a little off-topic but on the last ep I was on I mentioned the martial art I do and such so I thought I would share a picture taken from our last testing. Normally I'm not one for liking any sort of a picture or video I'm in but somebody seemed to take something that I actually kind of liked so...yeah. Here's me all in my new uniform after getting my black belt and stuff and doing testing.
Hello, everyone. We’re back. Yes, at last! We’ve launched Season Two.
Our first season was about a murder case few people had heard about. Season Two is a story a gazillion people have heard about: the story of Bowe Bergdahl, the U.S. soldier who walked off his post in Afghanistan in 2009 and was captured and held by the Taliban for nearly five years. It’s been in the newspapers and on TV; it’s been the subject of congressional investigations (in fact, this very day, the House Armed Services Committee is releasing a report on the Bergdahl trade)—and it’s an active case in military court.
This story—it spins out in so many unexpected directions. Because, yes, it’s about Bowe Bergdahl and about one strange decision he made, to leave his post. (And Bergdahl, by the way, is such an interesting and unusual guy, not like anyone I’ve encountered before.) But it’s also about all of the people affected by that decision, and the choices they made. Unlike our story in Season One, this one extends far out into the world. It reaches into swaths of the military, the peace talks to end the war, attempts to rescue other hostages, our Guantanamo policy. What Bergdahl did made me wrestle with things I’d thought I more or less understood, but really didn’t: what it means to be loyal, to be resilient, to be used, to be punished.
Our tiny team—Julie Snyder, Dana Chivvis, Emily Condon, Ira Glass, and I—has expanded this season. As a result, one new thing: we’ll be talking with you on social media. Ask us a question on Tumblr, tweet at us, and watch for our updates on Facebook and Instagram. You can also sign up for our email newsletter. To find out where and how to listen, click here. Another new thing: 3D maps! We’ll have all sorts of graphics and videos and more to help explain what happened.
I am so happy that you’re back with us, listening. Now, on with the story.

People get too hung up on the word "game" in "video game"
Videos games are only called that because of what they were when they first became a thing.
The medium has evolved past that but no one is going to change what it's called now, it's too late for that.
But something doesn't have to be a "game" to be a "video game".
yeah it's like how we still use the word "film" even though lots of movies are shot digitally these days
let's start calling video games "playas"
short for "playables" but pronounced like the spanish word for beach to evoke the concept of relaxation and escapism
but then how will we address four people arguing in the ring when we need to announce that they'll really be fighting in the main event, in a tag team match

you can straight up play mario maker without engaging with the creation tools at all, I have no idea how an "is this a game?" conversation even got started

We don't know Brad's thoughts yet, just that he said "we'll have to talk about if mario maker is much of a game"
my dad just handed me down a hard drive he doesn't need anymore that he had formatted for his mac
it's plugged into like a case thing so that you can use it as an external USB drive
i'm pluggin' the thing in and turnin' it on and hookin' it up to my computer though and it's not showing up at all
not showing up in the disk management or device manager either
what do i do
Pretty sure Windows straight up won't recognize an OSX filesystem.
I'd Google around for some kind of utility to get in there.
It should still see the drive in Disk Management though--it just wouldn't see the partition as formatted.
It's possible that the boot sector is screwed up and Windows' disk management system isn't able to recognize it as a bootable disk. If you have access to the Recovery Console, you can use the diskpart commands to try and reset it. Otherwise, you might be able to use a Parted Magic boot disk or some other Linux-based tool to rebuild it.

I'm sure that it'll be interesting and I'm still gonna listen anyway but I kinda wish that they would've gone with another fascinating relatively unknown case.

welllllll shit
I was really looking to use it as an external drive for my wii u and was just looking at it on my PC to try and maybe diagnose the problem
wii u can't very well download a driver for this sucker

Enclosure doesn't look that old. Have you tried hooking it up to your WiiU?
flushed your cache
redirected all power to the engines
Steam | Twitter
did you frog blast your vent core
yeah, it just searches for the device forever
this is something i should check

Give it back to your dad and see if it still works on his mac?

No! That'll make it very confusing when I say my totally original catchphrase:
DON'T HATE THE PLAYA HATE THE GAME!
SteamID: Baroque And Roll
Rad dude!
it's essentially buying unlimited games, nothing else in the GOTY list can even compete
but then how will we address four people arguing in the ring when we need to announce that they'll really be fighting in the main event, in a tag team match
Or in a one on one match against THE UNDATAKER!
...delivery system.

Might be fine if you just find a way to format the drive to whatever filesystem the Wii U needs.

Putting all my money on Jay did it.
