The Awkward Thread is a never-ending source of joy. It was literally the reason I stopped lurking and started posting.
Realizing lately that I don't really trust or respect basically any of the moderators here. So, good luck with life, friends! Hit me up on Twitter @DesertLeviathan
I'm trying to break the stupidly younger men habit I have. The two guys from tinder I'm chatting to are of course 24. Seemingly grown up 24 at least.
Also I need someone to make me risotto. I've realised as I'm eating some tonight that I've never eaten any cooked by someone else. So maybe what I make is just bloody awful rice? I love it, but I have odd food habits.

Risotto is great, but man is it hard to make well
I'm pretty sure most of the time I try I just end up making cheesy rice
Congratulations, you have killed Bobble at his desk at work. Early indications suggest that he died from stifling too much laughter (causing his internal organs to be crushed) coupled with a massive empathetic embarrassment reaction.

if you dump a ton of parmesan and butter and then some white wine onto almost anything it's gonna be p good so I doubt what you're making could be just bloody awful rice
also I make a mean risotto if I may say so myself but I am also 24.
EDIT: Also, since you'd be keeping these 24 year olds from suffering women younger than themselves, you're doing the lord's work

See this is the thing, no wine or cheese when I make it. I think I am just making badly cooked rice. I hate white wine though.
This is true, I'd much rather be with me than my housemates. Which is exactly how I'm spending my weekend.

Angilina, do you at least use stock? And do you add the stock gradually?
Because I'm starting to wonder if this is not even badly cooked rice, but just rice.

In just a month's time we've burned through another love thread. Amazing!

White wine in food is quite different than drinking white wine, but then again, that's just like, a finishing touch thing. Without the cheese, well, hm. Well, butter still makes shit creamy.

Yes there's stock slowly added, but no wine or cheese added. No mushrooms either (because eww) just onions. It's fine, if this means nobody ever wants to eat my rice then I can keep it all to myself.

Aside from the wine (which is optional anyway) that sounds like a classic risotto. Parmesan is just finishing.
Last weekend I made stock, then made risotto from said stock. That was a good Sunday night dinner.
I'm so glad that the love thread is ending on the discussion of my risotto. I would make it love related, but my Friday night involves tv in bed. Alone.
My housemates are getting drunk and going out though, I'm sure something will happen with them.
Man TV alone in bed may as well be "love" for me at this point.

I've been told that you only need wine for an aromatic and it is strictly optional but the recipe I have says to use it so I'm not going to deviate. I am not sure if mine is good either, I have to find a good restaurant that serves it and try it someday.

When I win the massive euro lottery tonight I'll fly everyone here to go eat risotto and come to the cinema with me.

I like the fact that the love thread diverts into Risotto and other topics. It's why I hang out here. I struggle with this new fangled concept of SE threads having topics, so I just hang out where the awesome people and discussions are.
I'm gonna call that love of the love thread so it's on topic.
I use the love thread as a place to discuss the complexities of my love life and also as a place to make sure all my online buddies are supported in the complexities of their own love life
also because it's a nice, positive atmo in here usually and it's always cool to feel like you're part of a supportive, friendly group!

Oh man, remember when @Chincymcchilla left his browser open and Mrs. Chincy jumped on and started dishing out all the gossip?
Good Times.

Which is, y'know, delicious, but
But we live nearly 5,000 miles apart, so I won't because it will be cold by the time I get it in the mail.
I eat most food lukewarm anyway, I'm sure I'd still love it.
This has happened more than once
I am trying to get better about remembering to close said browser
I thought it was the peppers, onions, and sometimes mushrooms?

Pfft I'm sure risotto is great cinema food!
And those giant white beans. MMMM.
Mayhaps we need another thread. Awkward thread 2: Electric Revenge in New York 2 Furious.
but they're listening to every word I say

Just monster truck rallies, and bass fishing shows.

Let's call the whole thing off.
So many of those dudes are just so magnificently stupid.
