I think this Cena injury will affect NXT more than anything. They've got to start looking at guys like Finn and Apollo to be fast tracked to the main roster now.

These are interesting times for WWE and wrestling in general. Both the two top companies are now faced with a major top talent shortage and while New Japan is obviously more trustworthy to showcase new talent it now looks like Vince will be forced to alter his "millennials are bad" view and start giving rocket up the ass pushes to new people.

And really, how many of the big names in NXT even fall into that insipid category?

If only there were two megastars that were just hired from the closest thing WWE has to a rival organization, that could step in to fill the void.

    Oh wait.

I love AJ Styles to death (as a wrestler, not a human being unless his views have changed) but it'd be insanity to put either him or Nakamura in that position now. Give it to Sami or hell, even Titus.

AJ Styles and Nakamura would do better than Sami or Titus in this role because they know how to wrestle in front of a huge crowd. Nakamura leaks charisma from every pore. Everybody thought it was insane for NJPW to give Styles the belt, but it worked out perfectly. People want to go to Wrestlemania no matter the card, and having old names isn't going to help sell it out, it's doing something different and unpredictable that will do that.

Isn't Nakamura a moot point anyway since he still has a few months left in New Japan? And putting him on the main roster before at least a small run on NXT isn't a good idea.

Don't feel like hate-reading TNA taping spoilers?
    (TNA Spoiler)

Why not hate-read Total Kale instead?!

Episode 4, or 18 Cats and Counting!
Paige and Foxy enjoy a day at the beach and are excited to move into Foxy's new house together and be roommates. Paige's new boyfriend, Kevin, comes up as a topic of conversation. He's apparently in a famous band? Anyway, Foxy lays down the law: “No sex in my house.”

A volunteer from a cat rescue shows up at Nattie and TJ's house with a bunch of cats. There's an emergency at the shelter and they have too many cats, so Nattie said they would house them. Of course she didn't tell TJ about this plan. But it's okay, because there's plenty of room on the fenced-in patio. One would think TJ would be excited to have 18 more cats in his house, but he is not. They get into an argument about how Nattie makes commitments that affect both of them without talking things over with TJ. Their argument is cut short as a cat escapes from the patio.

Jim and Ellie come over to help with the cat situation, and Ellie suggests buying another cat to replace the missing one. “You're never going to find that cat, there's snakes and alligators out there.” Thanks, Dad, that's incredibly helpful. As The Anvil picks up an armful of kittens and gets bitten, Nattie tells her parents that she and TJ are going to be away on the European tour in a few days, so they'll need to take care of the cats.

Nikki is staying with Bryan and Brie for a while because John's out of town and his party-mansion is scary when it's empty. Unfortunately, Nikki comes out of the shower to find that Bryan has moved all of her clothes out of the guest room closet and into the barn! Nikki is appalled that she would be treated like that by her sister and brother-in-law, claiming “you guys are gross, rude people.”

Kevin asked Paige to move in with him, and now she has to break the news to Foxy. She does it in pure Paige fashion, blurting out “i'mnotmovinginwithyou” and running away from the table. Foxy chases her down for more info. Foxy isn't too keen on the idea because Paige hasn't been with Kevin very long, but she's a grown woman and can make her own choices. Everything seems fine, but at Foxy's housewarming party, she makes a snarky toast to Kevin and then some uncomfortable comparisons between him and Paige's old boyfriend.

This week's Smackdown taping is over, and everyone is getting ready to leave the arena. But there was an issue with the car that Titus O'Neill, Heath Slater, and Adam Rose were using, so Nattie said they could ride with her and TJ. Once again, making promises without consulting TJ. The road-trip is terrible for him right from the start, as the other three guys dive into questions about TJ and Nattie's sex life, and Titus describes sex as “WHAM WHAM WHAM!”

In their car, the Bellas are talking about Bryan's teasing Nikki, which Brie sees no problem with. Brie calls Bryan, and he tells Nikki that making fun of her is how he shows affection, but he'll stop since it's making her upset. In their own car, Jimmy and Naomi continue to be the best couple on the show by debating whether saying “I love you to the next stop sign” is more romantic than “I love you to the moon.” They're soon joined by Paige, who jumps out of Foxy's car and into theirs after they get into a fight about Kevin. Foxy also kicks out Emma, threatens to run over Paige, and Uso records the entire thing on his phone.

Slater tells their car about a restaurant that his friend owns and is along the way they're going, so they decide to stop by. It turns out to be a completely empty strip club. Titus and Adam Rose are cool with it, Nattie is playing along because she's trying to make everyone happy, but TJ is just over the whole road-trip and goes back to the car. She feels terrible that TJ is miserable and goes inside to get the guys back on the road. They agree to leave, but before they do Nattie takes a quick spin on the pole and shakes the strippers' hands, thanking them for being so welcoming. Back in the car, Nattie apologizes to TJ, saying “I'll make it up to you tonight.” This gets a response of “OOOOOH!!” from the other three, and TJ smiles for possibly the first time this season.

In their hotel, TJ talks to Nattie about her inability to say “no” to people. He even impersonates her to show how ridiculous it's getting. She agrees to stop being such a pushover, they laugh and hug and kiss. And then she impersonates TJ by saying “Where's Cesaro? I want to make-out with him,” to which TJ just giggles and shrugs.

Alicia Fox and Paige talk about their fight, and Foxy admits that her issues with Paige's boyfriend come from the fact that she's still got feelings for her ex, Wade Barrett. Her jealousy is the root of their recent tension, and Paige completely understands and tells her friend that she loves her no matter what.

Episode 5, or...why bother? Nothing's going to beat "18 Cats and Counting"
The ladies are backstage when they get assigned their teams for the European tour. Foxy is a little anxious about being on the same team as Barrett. The Bellas and Paige are on the same team, and Paige is already getting annoyed with Nikki's view of England as prim and proper. And of course Nattie is concerned about leaving the country while there are 18 extra cats in her house.

Nattie and Paige are talking backstage about Nattie's boobs, and the topic of Nikki formerly working at Hooters comes up, as does the fact that the Bellas grew up on a farm. A twinkle appears in Paige's eye as she realizes that there's a lot about Nikki she doesn't know, and this whole classy champagne-drinking caviar-eating act that she puts on may in fact just be an act.

We're treated to a few more shots of Eva training with The Brian Kendrick, and she is getting pretty bruised up. She posts some photos to instagram, and internet users assume that means husbandger is abusing her because internet users are the worst. Jonathan knows the deal, saying “let those idiots be idiots, that's just their role.” But it's hard, and even a lady in the restroom of a restaurant questions her about the bruises and doesn't take the “I'm a wrestler” answer seriously.

The gals head off for Europe. On Team Red, Brie is bummed for a moment because she and Bryan will be on different teams the entire time, but that sadness disappears when she realizes that this means she can get Brie Mode!! (btw we never see proper Brie Mode in this episode and I could not have been more disappointed) Over on Team Blue, Foxy learns from Emma and Rosa that Wade and his current girlfriend are having trouble, and she's considering trying to get back with him.

    Team Red GO!

Paige visits Nikki and Brie in their room, and she is NOT amused that Nikki wants the three of them to do “tea time” and wear “tea hats.” Paige would much rather go to a fish and chips shop than a dive bar, but Nikki insists on “tea time.” They choose their dumb hats, fancy gloves, and go to what Paige describes as a “prude room full of chicks with big hats and no souls.” During their tea, Brie admits that fish and chips would be really good right about now, and Paige's face brightens for just a second before Nikki dashes all of her hopes and dreams. Not being able to stand tea-time anymore, Paige leaves the tea room, but not before curtseying on her way out. She ends up at a dive bar with Naomi and Lana, having a great night.

The next day, Nikki tries to talk with Paige backstage, but Paige brushes her off, calling her a phony. The Bellas meet JOHN CENA for dinner. He convinces Nikki that it's okay to remake yourself into what you want to be as a grownup, even if that means enjoying fancy dinners even though you grew up on a farm. Cena ends the night by telling the waiter that he won't be having dessert here, because his dessert is wearing an orange dress. Nikki is of course wearing an orange dress. The waiter doesn't get it.

The next day, Paige and Brie go out for fish and chips. Paige explains why she was so uncomfortable at tea-time, and they agree that everyone is different and likes different things and that's okay.

    Team Blue GO!

Nattie and Foxy visit a tart and tea shop called “Queen of Tarts,” which Nattie absolutely loves because puns. But Foxy is much more interested in getting Nattie's opinion on the Wade-situation than choosing sweets. Nattie suggests that she clear her conscious and just tell him, because the worst that can happen is Wade says there's no way they're getting back together, and then at least she'd know. Rosa thinks that's a bad idea.

Alicia, Nattie, and Cameron go out for drinks (seriously in the plural because Nattie has at least three different glasses over the course of this one scene). Nattie learns the meaning of “shade” and Cameron tells Foxy that “maybe you just need to hit it real quick.” The girls decide to find out what room Wade's staying in so Foxy can talk to him. Partially for Nattie's own entertainment, she admits. The front desk staff refuses to give Nattie his room number. That's okay, because Foxy knows where it is. So all they accomplished in asking for it was drawing attention to their Brie Moded asses. Foxy knocks on the door and RUNS. She's not ready for this and suggests they just go find some guys to hang out with.

The next day the ladies are out at a flower garden and Rosa is NOT happy to hear about what happened last night. She says their drunken escapades are not cool, calls Alicia a home-wrecker, and Foxy storms away.

The entire gang gets back together in London! Foxy introduces herself to Wade's new girlfriend, who just happens to be there even though she's from America. She chats with Maria Menounos about how she still has feelings for Wade but doesn't want to be the reason they break up, and she's just going to try her best to be appropriate at work. Paige apologizes to Nikki for calling her fake, and Nikki admits she was wrong for stereotyping the Brits. Foxy is back “on the hunt for some candy” and is ready to get over Wade, and everyone leaves Europe as friends.

Kind of, sort of. Until the next episode.

UPDATE: PWInsider has more on the news, noting that John Cena’s shoulder injury is a torn rotator cuff and that he will in fact miss WrestleMania 32. The site reports that they have confirmed the news with multiple sources and that the injury occurred over the last several weeks.

The company had planned to have Cena face the Undertaker at WrestleMania, but that match is out and new plans will have to be drawn up for Taker at the show. Cena vs. Undertaker was planned to be one of the main attractions for WrestleMania.

The injury will make this the first WrestleMania since WrestleMania 19 without Cena.

How could it have occurred over the last several weeks? When he was doing the game show?

I am not an avid watcher of Japanese wrestling. It's not that I'm against it, it's just that I don't really have the time to get into yet another activity.

So, would any of you fine folks be willing to list some must-watch matches from Nakamura and Gallows/Anderson? I've seen enough of Styles to know what he's about, but I haven't really seen anything but highlights of the other guys.
