I like Remy a lot, I think his normals are really nice but I don't have enough experience with him to handle some of those matches. I had a lot of success against Akuma and Dudley (to be fair my friend's Dudley is almost as bad as my Remy) but the other matches not so much. In fact I did really well with Remy until the Chun switch, then it all fell apart. And we all know about the Chun vs Twelve match. It didn't help at all that I can't IAD anymore
I know there are still a couple of 3s guys in this thread, we should try to get semi-regular sessions of it going (this will never happen I know, but a boy can dream).

if I wanna practice at home but only have an integrated graphics dinky laptop what are my options
The advice of getting a used console is honestly pretty good, but there are options for testing your laptop first. Rising Thunder is free to try, but it might be a bit much. If you want to bring it to our get-togethers, I'll plug in my Steam account and see what runs.
It really just depends on what you want to play and what integrated GPU you have. Is it Intel HD Graphics 4000 or newer?
It is Mobile Intel(R) 4 Series Express Chipset Family, so literally all the wrong words. Also I'd have to get a monitor too ... doing that just makes me really want to take the final step and build that miniITX monster PC I've been dreaming about
Marty: The future, it's where you're going? Doc: That's right, twenty five years into the future. I've always dreamed on seeing the future, looking beyond my years, seeing the progress of mankind. I'll also be able to see who wins the next twenty-five world series.
So I'm super late to the party, but I finally got Skullgirls, since it was only like 8 bucks for the game and all the characters in the Steam sale. Turns out it's a lot simpler than I expected! It always looked really complex watching other people play it, but playing with one character instead of a team is pretty easy to get into.
I've been looking for a good game to prepare me for SFV and KI, and this seems perfect. Anyone still on the fence, give it a shot!

Hmm. I'm wondering how Capcom is going to do the dlc character releases.
I was thinking a character every 2 months but I would think they'd want them all out before Capcom Cup and with enough time to patch them if need be.

the catch iirc is doubles is almost always preferred to solo in that game because the penalties for 2 characters are pretty minor for what you get

I actually just built one a couple of months ago, and a friend built one a month before that. Let me know what you decide on / if you have any questions about mine.
I really, really love my adorable, little ITX HTPC.
Also, why do you need a monitor? Just for better viewing?
What I like about my laptop is being able to move it to any monitor. If you have an HDMI-capable TV, you already have a monitor!

there's definitely some good shit in there, Euphemon. That's probably my favourite genei jin combo ever and that rolling sobat into u2 surprised the hell out of me I did not know you could do that
I must admit I grew tired of decapre u1 combos right after the very first one though, so a shame that there were quite a few of them

I bought a stick, and within about 5 minutes of practice I was able to get ryu's standard FADC ultra down, which I could never do with a controller.
I'm finding rekkas a bit easier, and kara throws actually possible.
Gonna take a while to get the muscle memory going, but I think I made a good choice.

I actually never played Blade or SC1, just SC2-5. Was a huge fan back in the day. 5 was a huge disappointment to me.

And he has a youtube channel with a bunch of matches (and more importantly him and Michael Nakazawa playing some video games)

Just imagining Ken Masters sounding like this is hilarious.

Auto double combos. In KI. What is wrong with me.
Got too deep into the links. Mash harder! Faster! (Better, Stronger)
This is FUCKING INCREDIBLE.

This build is basically that. The case is mini itx, but it fits a full size GPU. http://www.forbes.com/sites/jasonevangelho/2015/05/16/school-of-tech-building-a-400-mini-itx-gaming-pc-is-fine-but-what-can-i-build-with-800/
I can post the changes I made for my own htpc, if you want. I can verify that it runs SFV beautifully.
