Ex scissors is +1 on block so I have been using it a lot.
Hp blast after cr.mp is a 7 frame gap, I believe, as opposed to a 3 frame gap with mp blast, so it is a tight trap for someone mashing jab.
I'd prefer to frame trap with a normal after cr.mp to maintain pressure, but there isn't much there because cr.mp is even on block. Sometimes you can psycho axe after to get in for tick throws, if you know they're downbacking.

I need to look at spacing and specific characters normals, but I feel right now that anyone can jab after blocking cr.strong for free. There might be some jabs that whiff there, but best we can do is trade jabs if they jabbed. It feels like a pretty zero sum response to a reactable situation.
I think the only thing that will convince someone who knows cr.strong is even and bison's jab is 4f that they shouldn't press buttons right there is cr.mp xx blast
Once they respect that, you can start cr.mp, axe and really lay pressure down

Check my math:
Cr.mp is 0 on block, with recovery 12, so when cancelled (on the first frame) it's +12. Mp blast is 15 startup. That leaves 3 frames to stick out a jab; I forget whether the first active frame overlaps with the last startup frame in SF. Even if it does, it will catch anything but 3 frame jabs, in which case you'll just have to end block strings with light blast or light scissors if you think they're jabbing, or use other block strings.
I think the st.mp, cr.mp chain pushes them too far for a jab to hit, though, so even a mp blast might catch it? This seems to depend on hit boxes. I don't think I've been jabbed after cr.mp. I tend to be able to cr.mp twice, usually.
Right, I agree with the blast math. I was saying that pushing another button after a blocked cr.mp should lose to a jab every time, so it's important to end with blast to train them that pushing buttons on cr.mp is dangerous

Biride against Vega seems to be a decent matchup for birdie looking at some itazan replays
So it seems like Bison, if he finishes his block strings, wants to use:
-Psycho blast on block
-Inferno on hit for damage and oki
-Scissors on hit for continued standing pressure (specifically light scissors, as they're +3 on hit)
I'm not sure when I'd want that +3 instead of the damage and the knockdown, but I guess +3 and being up in their face is pretty solid. You need to walk up a bit for a tick grab, sadly, so you don't get a grab opportunity that beats mashing jabs. But s.mp or cr.mp should beat a jab after scissors.
In all seriousness I wish they would just come out and explain what the hell the issue has been for the past week, and now that the servers are down indefinitely. For as much money as we've spent on the product and as much shit as we've been through with online-dependent single-player content, they owe us that much.

they probably don't know exactly what the issue is
and as much as this sucks, it's not exactly an outlier. Big online games being broken at launch has been a thing for the past couple of years now

I may think Nights is a completely garbage game, but I gotta respect that he put himself through that just to talk about it
This dude just earned my sub. So did Hot Pepper Gaming!

they're supposed to be hit confirms. they don't really want you to use them on block, I think, unless it's at a distance to close in (or it's EX).
there have always been some slightly counterintuitive frame data progressions with button strength though
