very little of how my department operates is actually documented anywhere, it essentially operates via oral tradition
we get tickets from other departments that ask us stuff like "can you do this?" and it's an open question because they honestly don't even know if the thing they are asking is something that is physically possible for us to do

If anyone wants to be part of the founding dorfs let me know. Otherwise I usually just grab names in the order they appear on the current page of chat whenever new migrants arrive. Both because of the raw numbers involved and the fact that it doesn't come up in gameplay much I don't make any attempt to match genders of chatters to dorfs (very much unlike chat, in the game migrants tend to be about 50/50 men / women).
