The feeling I get is that we mostly have. Sure, the argument keeps on coming up, but the feeling is more one of resignation that nothing is going to happen. The NRA's support or at least acquiescence is needed to pass any gun control laws and that isn't happening. No sense that there might be a tipping point any time soon either. Even a heavily triangulated gun control measure that a large majority of NRA members support is likely to be not get through congress.
I don't know, if they allow some new legislation through, it would do wonders for gun sales. It will be years before .223 sits on a shelf for again.

I just said like three posts up that Heller and McDonald explicitly contemplate a regulatory scheme for the second amendment. I'm for gun regulation, if that gives me the the correct bona fides to say the following: we don't need to bullshit and make law up to draw parallels to try and establish some kind of moral high ground in order to do this when there already is existing caselaw that contemplates doing exactly that.

I assume patreon gives you pretty good data since I think you need a month by month breakdown of who is donating at what level for rewards and whatnot
you'd presumably have a monthly roster of patrons (including pledges that didn't pay?) but it would be only limited to your project which is eh. I dunno if you'd have enough to really build a profile of your patrons based solely on their patterns for one project.
