For some reason that had the COPS animated series in the related videos. I'd totally forgotten about that show, I used to watch it all the time and even had some of the toys.
I remember the chief guy was my favorite character and liking whenever he was actually out in the field instead of just acting in a supervising role.
Looking it up now, apparently it was one of Hasbro's attempts to create another big franchise like Transformers out of a toyline, but instead of Marvel they had DC publish a short comic series for it. It was written by Doug Moench (creator of Moon Knight, Bane, Black Mask, etc., and he also wrote a ton of Batman stuff in the 90s).
I had never seen COPS and a friend showed me that intro recently
It looks insane, but I think "fighting crime... In a future time" is a legitimately great tagline
So for those of you 'playing' Avengers Academy, I just found out you can revert to previous (and often better) outfits for a character by selecting that character while they are inactive and tapping the clothes hanger icon in the lower left corner. You may need Van Dyne's outfits for this to work though
excellent - I didn't realize you could go back to the lower rank clothes.
it appears to be just a visual change, as I swapped Wasp back to her rank 1 clothes, and her list of actions remained the same. Giving her the Lounge Around action simply auto-equipped the appropriate outfit as she ran off to hit the beach.
Which is pretty much perfect, as that was a minor complaint I had

Aw man. It was glorious. Gloriously terrible, in all it's cheesy 80s goodness.
I'm re-watching an episode. One of the recurring bad guys gets offered drugs, and he grabs the dealer by the collar and shouts "I DON'T NEED DRUGS, I GET MY KICKS FROM CRIME."
I'm gonna need a list of all confirmed characters, most likely theories for the unconfirmed, and at least 20 random speculations for the newest addition on my desk by 6.
Contrary to prior reports, Infinity War will feature 68 distinct characters, not 67.
There is like a 90% chance they were making a joke since they said that the 67 number was just them saying a big number to show how huge it is and sites ran nuts with it being an exact count.
Let's see
Avengers would be about 12

Netflix shows -5

Thor- 6 or so

Don't forget the villains. There's obvious Thanos but he'll probably have the Black Order, which is going to be at least 4 or 5 characters. They'd also have the villain they beat at the beginning before they face the main threat. Since the scale of the film is going to be huge, it won't just be one villain like Batroc and Strucker, it'll be a supervillain team.
Fox removed the Gambit movie from their release schedule
that movie is probably doomed

Given that the arc is probably going to go
Part one: Thanos beats the shit out the Avengers and kills half the universe with the Infinity Gauntlet
Part Two: They defeat Thanos
I don't see why they need any more villains, and do see the need to have a shitton of heroes.
Humor can be dissected as a frog can, but dies in the process.

I doubt it
They removed it because it was still slated for October of this year, the release date it had before the director left and hasn't even started filming or finished casting yet.
Deadpool was successful enough for them to be open to more unique X-Spin Offs and Channing Tatum and Doug Liman are still attached. I bet it's a 2017 released

it's pretty telling that they outright removed it from the schedule rather than rescheduled it, especially in the same press release where they announced new and rearranged dates for Alien Covenant, The Predator, and 2 unannounced Fox/Marvel movies (one of which is almost certainly Deadpool 2)
i wouldn't be surprised if they're having trouble cracking the movie and with all the talent drama the movie had last year, i could see it lying stagnant

When executives pull major support from a movie, but the movie does gangbusters anyway, do they...I dunno, apologize to the filmmakers or something?

I didn't say it was going to be.
It's probably going to be
Movie 1 is Thanos getting his shit together with the Avengers maybe having a few victories, but ultimately getting their shit wrecked and Thanos killing half the fucking universe.
Movie 2 is going to basically have the remaining Avengers be the Rebellion against Thanos, and have them overcome his basically god-like status wielding the gauntlet, and finally striking him down.
GotG already established him as basically the strongest dude in the universe, what is going to happen when he amps that up a billion-fold?

they have some heavy duty lifting to make anyone really care about mcu thanos, really
or even make him credible
so far all he's done is show up in two teasers, give loki a loser army that the avengers defeated, and spend all of guardians of the galaxy being betrayed by people
like, he's a stone cold chump as far as i'm concerned and that feeling ain't exactly mine alone

Thanos has the advantage of being teased for a fucking long time and being talked up by those familiar with the material to those who are just casually interested.
Humor can be dissected as a frog can, but dies in the process.
