my friend and i want to start a online web comic, but i can not find a good xoops, php, or nuke-php mod to use. your site works real well, and i was wondering if ya might be able to tell me what ya use to make your site work, and if ya had some tips on some programs and mods we can try.
To be serious, Gabe and Tycho rarely read this forum. Moreover, you're better off asking Ramius or Alphamonkey (try using Private Messaging) as they're the coders behind the site.
Ruby on Rails is a web technology. They developed a custom content management system using Ruby on Rails, sort of the way PHPNuke uses the PHP language and MySQL database engine. The forums are just vBulletin.

No, plenty of perfectly normal people use the Dvorak layout. It's ok to be different.
Now people that start arguments over which layout is better and say things like "QWERTY was designed to slow you down! Dvorak is far superior!", those are the retards. But I suppose this is neither here nor there.
For the guy who wants to start a webcomic: why not start with static pages or even something like blogger at first and see if anyone actually wants to come to your site and read your comic? There's no need to invest hours into developing or even setting up a CMS that no one is ever going to use. Make sure you're serious about the comic and that it's actually good enough to bother spending all this time before you do anything.

I love how you mistyped Gabe's name like that. "M" isn't even next to "B".
It almost sounds like you think it was an accident.
that almost seems like you are saying.... oh fuck it.
No, I know it was on purpose, I'm just saying that you'd have to be retarded to think it was an accident because of the way a keyboard is laid out.

It is in Dvorak.
The more you know!
That's pretty neat. I didn't know that.
So, only retards use Dvorak keyboards?

Maybe he's using the old German HALTENSIE keyboard. (E is in there twice for rapid spam fills.)
That's pretty funny, because halten sie is german for 'halt!' (halt, you, more literally)
This logic is sound, I must say.
