"Oh, fuck off Magmatrooper, needing 2 holo emitters is bullshit."
*gears up*
"WHAT THE FUCK DO YOU MEAN YOU NEED 3 MORE FOR THE NEXT TIER?!?!"
Or at least I thought that was awful until I started finding higher tier characters that needed Stunguns and Stun Cuffs and Carbanti's and items that required some of those to be built including those stupid yellow eyeballs that apparently we need a gajillion of.
"Hey, we have like 8 versions of this one gear bit, what should we do with them?"
"Nothing, just keep demanding the same 2 or 3, the rest are meant to do nothing but fill up loot screens and sit in people's inventories by the thousands."
At least if there was some way to upgrade gear (even at a rough exchange rate), it'd be something. Needing like 6,000 Mk3 Carbantis and 50 Mk6, and having those same amounts but reversed in my inventory, continues to annoy me. Especially when a raid drops something that I already have 5k+, instead of something actually useful.
First they came for the Muslims, and we said NOT TODAY, MOTHERFUCKER!
I'm only 77 and the only real team I had for it was phoenix who are...not good at it, so I only finished Tier 1. I got close to T2 a couple times because it seemed like the special ability could bug out and the assist on counter attack could last forever which was funny, but it wasn't enough to just not be stunned forever and watch EP slowly power up and 1 shot people.
Finally managed to get the Mythic tier of this event down.
CLS (lead), R2, Raid Han, Baze, and Chirrut.
Note, the first two there are Gear 12, all 3 pieces towards 13. Han is only at 11, but has 4 pieces, and all of them are packing heat (read, full Zetas). However, Baze and Chirrut are gear 9 and 8 (respectively), no zetas, 2-3 pieces towards their next tier. Read: pretty solid, but not 'omgwtfbbq' awesome. A lot of the shit in this takes a lot of punishment, but doesn't hit very hard, so Baze's cycle of never ending health regen bullshit is pretty solid, even at middle tier levels of power. Baze died in my successful attempt, so I only 2 star'd it, but I'd almost given up on doing it in general.
My previous attempts had been the first 3, plus Biggs and Wedge, who hit like trucks, but the longevity/survivability provided by Baze/Chirrut helped immeasurably.
First they came for the Muslims, and we said NOT TODAY, MOTHERFUCKER!
Huh, shortly after posting that I try again and 3 star tier 2, hooray!
Doubt I'm going to be denting t3 though
edit: it went so well because I didn't realize the special ability didn't just sometimes bug, it always does and is permanent, so hitting it first thing in wave 1 on everyone made a huge difference.
I want to know what happened to their starship overhaul. Something must have gone terribly wrong in testing because it has already been like 2 months since they advertised and hyped the feature. Considering it was showcased on one of their "Game Changers" Youtube channels along with an official Dev Q&A to go along with it, I assumed back then that the feature was basically ready, and we would see it within just a few days of those previews. Because that's the way every other thing that was showcased on Game Changers went.
I wonder if maybe their top Youtubers all hated it and it got sent back to the drawing board.
Sorta like their raid reward revamp. You guys are talking about why they give out challenge materials as raid rewards? That was supposed to change in the raid reward revamp that got implemented and then almost immediately reverted.
They were going to remove a lot of the trivial mats from the reward pool and make winning raids actually feel meaningful. They were also going to normalize the payout of guild currency so that everyone who participates gets a bigger yield, and somehow that simple concept, which honestly sounds extremely straightforward and uncomplicated got fucked up. How they managed to screw up such a simple re-balance, I don't know. But here we are. We're still earning raid rewards of things we already have 3k+ of because they flubbed their rework.
Either what they originally announced, or some re-work of it.
A few days ago, they announced that the TB originally scheduled for the 21st to 26th is gonna be postponed and that the ship update will come in this time frame. Client was already updated. Either today or tomorrow they will do a forced update and the ship update goes live.
I am actively trying to get Chirrut and Baze to 7* but I feel absolutely filthy about it.
They’re probably the most broken combo in the whole game.
Chirrut, Baze, Wedge, Biggs, Lando squads piss me off
I don't have Lando anywhere near ready. I put CLS in the lead.
And now I've realized that most of my mods on Biggs and Wedge are crap.
What are you using this team for? I might be in the minority here, but I have a similar team I run in TW defense, but I use Wedge as the leader. I find his team healing gives the group sustainability for multiple battles. I mean, maybe I just got lucky, but they won 12 battles last war. Something worked.

I put them in Arena. With Luke in the lead, it's fun to hunt for AOE-heavy teams and watch them get countered to death.
And honestly, Wedge seems to be the weak link on the team right now. He's usually first to die, but the rest survive okay. Hell, no style points in Arena, anyways.
My guild still can't quite get 25 to sign up for TW...
I understand that some part of it is not knowing what works well / having the things that now work well, but also almost every fight losing 1/3 of your ships from the start is real great. Kinda wish it wasn't so blatant about trying to encourage that spending on the new ship mats, though.
Also the challenge requirements are hilarious, I don't even qualify for the last tier I completed anymore.
Logging in to a pile of shards and currency was fun I guess though, even if it was like 3-4 shards of a hundred different characters and so not particularly useful except in the long term
Rebels look like they’ll have some strong synergy in fleet, but i just tried my undergeared rebel fleet (bistan and pheonix squad) and got instantly blasted off the table so i think “pick whoever your strongest pilots are” is worth sticking with for now
Any chance anyone knows of a clan that has 5 open spots, in the 100m+ range, that's in the T5-T6 Sith/40'ish star TB range? Combined we have around 12m GP, sizable collections, and are daily players.
Figured I'd ask around here, as we may soon be mercenaries looking for a home. No word on the timeline, but I'm assuming nothing major will happen until the TB ends in a few days.
*sigh* One month after finding a home, the clan we're in has collapsed. A bunch of their higher GP members are off to greener pastures.
So, I figured I'd modify the old post, repost here, and keep looking around elsewhere (in game and out).
Man, stick with one clan for like 2 years, suddenly I'm guild hopping like a prima donna tank in my old WoW raiding days. :-/
First they came for the Muslims, and we said NOT TODAY, MOTHERFUCKER!
The new fleet stuff has been pretty neat. Seems to be more variety. My shard still has Biggs and Vader in every starting lineup, but things get strange after that. Reaper is completely gone. Geonosians are really good. Ahsoka hard counters new Boba. It's a wild time and I'm soaking up the crystals at the moment.
I actually can't win at fleet arena anymore. Before the change I was always hovering around 150-180. After the change I have dropped to 250-280 and I'm making less crystals than before.
I switched plo koon in as the 4th stringer and that really helped. His reenforcement ability is pretty great. I'm 60 - 50 in my shard.
Biggs, phantom ii, fotfp starters
Plo koon, reaper, vader bench
I'd really like to bring Biggs in off the bench, but get wrecked if he's not in first.
If I may offer my thoughts...
Vader is good as a starter with Biggs. He makes sure the taunt goes up and the protection refills. Phantom 2 I know is great off the bench. You might like your results if you flip them. I know I want impressed with Vader's reinforce ability at all.

I'll give it a shot. I've been using phantom ii to get biggs' taunt up.

Spend two days downing a raid and get fucking challenge gear out of it.
I don't know who thought that was a great idea.

Yeah, I know, but those are my best Rebels. I was trying Chirrut but I swapped in Biggs since he's still weak and Baze is still 70/100.
Made it to the last battle with R2 and Luke. Got lucky with R2 getting zapped. Luke was able to counter the guards and stunlock Sheev enough to win.
I wonder if maybe their top Youtubers all hated it and it got sent back to the drawing board.
