Got CLS. Last tier was a chore. Had to remod and equip all the gear I had for the ANH crew. This is what I've been working towards since like November.
Ran him straight up to 85 and built his skills. Now I've just gotta work on gear up CLS to unlock a few more skills and figure out how I want to mod him and figure out where to play him.
I’ve got enough mats for another Zeta and I’m trying to decide between JTR insight ( I already have her leader ability) or Veers. My Resistance team is pretty good right now and I’m still trying to build up my troopers, with DT and shore still at 6 stars, and I haven’t unlocked Starck yet. I’ll eventually get both, I’m just in a bit of a decision paralysis right now.

Veer's zeta just make the entire trooper team work. If you want one, you need that Zeta. It's just that good and makes it a very great time for battleground. I also have Starcks (worked on my troopers a while ago).
I just unlocked JTR the last time she showed up. I too already zeta her leader hability so Insight might be my next zeta.
I'm at a point where I've got a zeta lined up, but am not sure where to put it. There are a few options, but I think I've got a lot of the 'must haves' done, and don't want to spend this one while I'm still probably a week or two away from building up to the next one. I'm glad that they've slightly increased the trickle of them that we get, but it's still a long enough grind to feel like I can't just 'try one out' without putting like PhD level research into the perfect application for one, otherwise I fear using one up and feeling that was weeks of saving wasted if it doesn't perform.
Frustratingly often met with 'oh, you just need these 4 other zetas to really make it shine'... FUCK YOUUUUUUU!

I think really, to best play and enjoy this game, a person needs to do 2 related things.
#1: Make a plan for team advancement and progression
#2: Stick to the Plan
Don't go chasing every new shiny thing unless you plan on dropping hundreds of dollars. The F2P model for this game does not support keeping up with trends. If you are a F2P player, or even a "very low financial investment" player, you will always be 1 or 2 releases behind the meta, maybe more. Come to terms with that fact, accept it, and plan accordingly.
Pick something and then stick with it. And when planning, you need to think on a team level, not an individual level.
For example, I'm at the tail end of my Resistance plan. The plan was to get a full G12 Resistance team, with all PVE zetas to have a team capable of producing numbers in the Sith Raid and also helping my guild clear the Tank Raid. That step is done. I've got a fully functional, amazing Resistance team now. I'm missing one last piece. I want Jedi Rey's Insight zeta. And I'm 16/20 on it. So within a few days I will be 100% done with Resistance.
Then I will be moving on to Phase 2 of my plan, which is something I planned out a long time ago. Phase 2 is Empire. I will actually be on Empire for a good long while, as I want to have two fully functional teams of Empire dudes (for the DS TB). Team 1 will be a Veers/Starck tooper team. And team 2 will be a generic Empire team featuring Thrawn, Tarkin, and other cool dudes.
Stick to the plan. That's how you succeed at this game.
Right, what I'm saying is that I don't know what the plan is right now, for zetas.
I've been playing since Jan 2016, believe me, I know how to set and stick to a plan. 3.2m GP worth of plan (/humblebrag). :-P
I've got most of my arena zetas, most of the ones I'd want for Heroic Sith, there are dozens of characters I *could* put one on, but nothing with a burning drive where I *must* put it on.
Not that it's a bad thing. I know people in my group who have 2+ ready to go, it's just weird for me to be sitting on extras. Until now there usually was a clear notion of where I HAD to put a zeta when it was ready. Now I think I've got most of the Top Tier ones I wanted, so it's more about glossing over the piles of those the next tier down, or waiting for something broken to get released or discovered and be ready to go.
But it's kinda burning a hole in my pocket at the same time, y'know?
First they came for the Muslims, and we said NOT TODAY, MOTHERFUCKER!
The first time my client updated, I got in-game update notes about some pretty serious nerfs to the lower level player experience. They removed all XP from the starter quests, and they also reduced the amount of shards that you get for the starter quests/characters. Capitol Games sure does hate noobies.
I don't see any reason for that at all. If anything, they need to increase those values to help new people catch up to the curve.
The next time my client updated, nothing apparently happened, all my various holo tables were broken and I basically couldn't access the game for 2 hours (other than the home screen). This happened around the time PVP rewards were going to pay out, and the broken game actually prevented me from ranking as high as I could have.
The third time my client updated, I got the missions for Bastila Shan and Jolee Bindo. Just looking at their kits, Bastila is very strong, but I would not call her broken or OP. But holy shit Jolee is super broken as all get out.
And anyway, where's my compensation gift for the game being super broken for a 2 hour window?

I watched a few gameplay videos of Bastilla and Jolee and they said they'll definitely improve the current Jedi teams, but won't be enough to make a huge difference in high-level arena (Nest and Sith are still topping the charts).
Yeah, I'm guessing the top Jedi team will probably be Bastila lead, GMY, Ezra, Kanan, and Anakin. Maybe.
I need to watch some videos and see. But that's the team I've been using for the event - which granted is very easy - but the team seems to work decently well. Oh, I've got Hermit Yoda on my event team too since Bastila is considered a guest character and doesn't take a party slot.
So the Tier 6 event levels for both Bastila and Jolee were both really good. I'd say that's some of the best levels they have made in the game. Those were the ones with the premade party. I enjoyed them both quite a bit.
The guild I'm in has cleared heroic sith 3 times now. The first kill was last week, and happened with 15 minutes to spare. The second and third have been progressively faster.
I empathize with the chex mix situation. I thought mine might be passable, but my mods aren't nearly up to the task.
I can post solid numbers in P1 with JTR, P2 if I 'cheat' and run 3 teams instead of the 2 they expect (Leia spam, Palpatine, a Wampa brew of my own design). Note; not actually cheating, they just expect 2% per person, ideally 2 teams doing 1% each, I got tired of hitting like 0.8% and having to restart dozens of times. P3 is the aforementioned mess, sometimes I don't even post, but it's not a big deal as we do have some that tear him up, and then P4 is Nightsisters (mine are almost there) and kitchen sink time, which I really enjoy.
It's funny, much like WoW raiding, success brings people out of their slump. Back when we were struggling through T6 and failed attempts at Heroic, I could sometimes get top 10, almost always top 20. Now that the kills are happening, suddenly people are actually giving a shit and posting some serious numbers, especially fighting for those choice top 10's. Though there are a few who are slacking in the bottom rungs, but whatever, I'm not an officer in this one, not my problem as long as it's not actually holding us back.
First they came for the Muslims, and we said NOT TODAY, MOTHERFUCKER!
Ahnald posted a video yesterday of a Bastila leader full jedi team that did some serious damage to the Phase 2 of the Sith raid. I think I'm going to start working towards that as a goal.
I'll use my Resistance for P1, Bastila Jedi team for P2, and I guess Chex Mix team for P3. I've got the necessary character for Chex mix I think. I've seen some videos on it.
Of course, this is all hypothetical at this point. My guild is on week 2 of our first ever T5 raid. We're a long ways from being able to do T7.
Having the characters for Chex Mix is just the start. In an ideal world, you want very specific (and fairly high) speed ratings (which means quality mods with good speed rolls) to have them operate in a set order.
In reality, I imagine most of us don't have piles of mods sitting around with 20-30 speed as a secondary (or primary in the Arrow's case), and I'm sure with the right RNG one might make less optimal setups and speeds work out, but it's not easy, at least in my experience. Some people were gloating about how they were working it and posting big numbers with like a Gear 6 Pao, but on Heroic if a saber even looks at a low gear support, they just fall apart on the spot, which means reset after reset after reset.
2 weeks on a T5? I'm guessing it's a smaller guild or you're seeing low participation? I remember long and grindy T5's. I won't lie, T6's are even worse. The giant Olympic sized swimming pool of hp things have is not endearing.
First they came for the Muslims, and we said NOT TODAY, MOTHERFUCKER!
I've seen a few variants of the Chex mix team. It appears that 4 of them are pretty solidified: CLS, Chirut, Raid Han, Death Trooper.
The 5th slot appears to be somewhat variable and I've seen quite a few different suggestions for who to use there including Ezra, Pao, Fulcrum, Rex, and Wedge. And probably more.
Oh, there's definitely options for the fifth slot.
My point was less about Pao specifically and more that any info you see about their gear level being essentially meaningless is either an exaggeration or requires nigh perfect RNG to make work.
There are definitely some other options, really anything that gives Offense Up can probably do in a pinch, but if it's something made of tissue paper, expect it to catch fire the moment you join the fight a number of times, unless their speed is like +200 or something absurd.
As I noted, getting the characters is in many ways the easy part. Getting them sped up to the point that they might actually survive to do their thing (or be tough enough to make up for that lack of speed) is another matter.
First they came for the Muslims, and we said NOT TODAY, MOTHERFUCKER!
My guild is 65million total galactic power. We just got our first heroic tank about 4 weeks ago. I have 94 GK shards.
I think mostly with the Sith raid the main issue is low participation. Our T5 raid has been going for 2 weeks and we're only in Phase 3 currently. I'm at the top of the leaderboard with 60million damage contributed to the raid so far.
Best ways to feed TM, or speed up TM gain on executrix? I use ITF for dodge TM gain and I've got Tarkin with my best (not amazing) sure miss, but not sure that even matters.
Nice!
I recently finally got my Geonosians battle ready. All 3 gear 12, all 3 ships uniques maxed out.. Akbar Capital, Poe, Biggs, Vader and Cassian reinforcements.
It destroys the typical meta team easily, although its a hefty investment.
More KOTOR toons? And a KOTOR ship. Crap the Ebon Hawk is coming soon and I'm gonna have to resist dumping money chasing that. I've been good resisting young Lando so hopefully I can stay strong. F2P 4lyfe.
I totally don't remember her at all. Pretty sure I didn't kill her though, because I never completed a dark side path game. Every time I've beaten the game, which is at least 4 times, I've gone light side, or a hybrid of light and dark, but mostly light. I've never gone full dark.
