Neat idea, but I guess in practice it was just too annoying and when something is too annoying for Koreans you can only imagine how western audiences would take it. :razz:

Doesn't happen everytime, but it does happen a lot.
@Arthil I like it! Though I worry the eyes might get lost when it is shrunk down in the actual game (I know it is 60x60px but no one looks at symbols up close). But who knows until it is in.

I was having this happen when I logged out to character select before quitting game, but once I started quitting the game directly from the disconnect prompt it stopped. It very likely could just be a fluke though that it hasn't happened doing that.
I am really interested in this game, however I am not sure if I want to pay 30€...
So, the important question, does the crafting become boring after a while in this? I mean, most of the MMOs today have a really light crafting system and I don't like it. And it is mostly about AH stuff thingies to do.
What I've read about this game, crafting seems to be quite varied and trading is not about the AH, instead you sell things to NPC merchants. Or?
I just want some crafting MMO to fill my life, I already have many fighting MMOs (although this game seems to have a pretty good fighting system...).
The crafting in this game is a bit strange because, other than cooking or alchemy, you don't do the crafting yourself. You have workers for that.
However, obtaining the parts and pieces that the workers need to assemble a final product is completely on you and quite fulfilling as a crafter. There are a wide variety of resources, a wide variety of ways to obtain them, and the game rewards you for doing things yourself with bonus production.
For instance, something simple like a steel axe (used to harvest lumber) requires 1 maple timber, 3 steel, and 3 blackstone powder.
1 maple timber can be obtained via: workers harvesting maple trees, or you harvesting maple trees
3 steel requires melted iron and coal. Raw iron and coal can both be harvested by your workers or you. Workers can then make steel out of iron and coal, but you can do it more efficiently with your character (esp. as you level up your skills).
3 blackstone powder is created by workers, but you have to obtain the stone that it is produced from yourself.
And that's a rather superficial take on a simple recipe -- how you configure your workers and workshops and how you spend on the auction house all factor into it, as does whether you gather yourself or rely on the workers or ah. Something like a boat or a cart has many many parts. I think some calculated that a ferry takes more than 1500 raw resources if you just rely on workers, but much much less the more you can do yourself.
So I guess the thing is; crafting isn't going to be full of button mashing like FFXIV, but determining and setting up your production line is fairly involved and rewarding.

@ENzo Sorry about it taking a bit to get you invited. If you see me, or Aiserou ping you here in the thread you need to respond pretty quick. We can't realistically wait on the docks for hours(like I sort of did early on >.< )
I'm thinking I may turn off all quests except Combat and Exploration and work on leveling first, then come back and do the crafting/fishing/trading stuff later.

I just feel like I'm paralyzed since I got to Velia because there's so many different things to pursue. I want to make sure I get all the quality of life things like donkey, cart, horse, inventory space and whatnot before I strike out in my own direction, though.

Doesn't happen everytime, but it does happen a lot.
Also, does buying a house use Silver?
Only for certain uses of housing and for the most part the costs are low (like 500-2000 silver)
