Karlstein Armour looks pretty great on a Valkyrie and seems the most tolerable of the outfit sets.
Well, except that it doesn't have pants. But it seems Valkyries just don't wear pants.
I don't know, I think the Karlstein armor looks pretty terrible, mostly because it doesn't have pants. It just looks weird because it has so much going on up top, then below the waist? Just nothing. On the Valkyrie though, I did find that (at least in the costume shop) I was able to put the boots from another outfit on at the same time as the Karlstein armor. The boots were knee-high and made the armor look better in my opinion.
This of course is just me hypothesizing though, because I'm pretty unlikely to pay these outrageous sums for costume armor.
Lots of things I read said grinding can be bad because If everything else to do.
I started getting fishing going while I am afk. Getting a good source of funds to start. Still don't understand basically anything else. I need to at least figure out how nodes work If I'm going to be selling fish. Also don't know what workers are for yet. I have a house but it's empty. So much I'm not getting done yet, but man am I badass at killing things.

Yea, fishing's a pretty good option to start with. Bunch of folks in the guild could probably help with fishing tips since we have a few avid ones.
I have to admit to not understanding how I should be going about armor/weapon progression. My Witch has basically full Agerian right now at level 29, and a staff that I don't remember what it is. I've started to get black stones for armor and weapon, but should I use them on my current stuff, or wait until I get better? Is there better? Should I start investing in making stuff, or can I get it through monster drops and quest rewards as I did Agerian?
I've seen different houses with crafting that seem to be different specialties, but damned if I know what they are supposed to do. One of these days I'm going to need to look this all up I suppose.
@Toxic Pickle 3 agerian and talis shoes are pretty solid for witch. No reason to not get armor to +5 and weapons to +7, there is no chance to fail at those levels.
You can reclaim stones from an item at the blacksmith, you get 1 stone per +1 and it destroys the item.
I pretty much have been using an azwell weapon, which will drop from the goblins you kill in the 2nd big town, it has +5 accuracy, and I use an offhand that gives accuracy. Azwell +7 should get you through to a yuria weapon. Accuracy isn't ever explained, but it's really important.
Earlier in the thread, it was said that accuracy is not important for PvE leveling.
Is there a hard source for any of this, or are y'all just guessing?
If you're leveling normally accuracy won't matter. If you're pvping people with lower +'d gear it won't matter.
If you're attacking pink/red/purple mobs to level they will have higher DP and thus require more accuracy to hit. Similarly when people start getting higher DP from improving their armor.
When we started most of us weren't going to go out beating up purples.
Now that it's been a month I'll take my alt out with full gear and waffle stomp purples for the fastest leveling.
Therein lay the difference.
Also there have been quite a few Reddit tests on accuracy.

To sum up: "On the other hand, in a PvE setting, where all that matters is pure DPS (damage per second), then the best choice is the one that gives the highest DPS value: if you can reliably hit your enemies, there is no point in increasing your Accuracy."
For PvE his findings pointed to your level vs the enemy level being more important to hit rate than Accuracy. He also noted that if an enemy is Purple to you stacking Accuracy really isn't going to make a noticeable difference.
Also, regardless of what level you are vs. the enemy you will still do full damage if you land a hit.
A Capellan's favorite sheath for any blade is your back.
So we get stiff once in a while. So we have a little fun. What’s wrong with that? This is a free country, isn’t it? I can take my panda any place I want to. And if I wanna buy it a drink, that’s my business.
The level vs enemy level matters, yes, but he was hardly pumping accuracy to actually test the variability. In fact he didn't wear his gems or armor set at all.
You can invest heavily into accuracy and kill purple things pretty consistently. I actually setup my Tamer to do just that because there are people treasure chests on islands I couldn't destroy at first.
For a Warrior? The ideal is stacking as much Accuracy as possible, because in order to 'keep up' with other classes having better farming ability(at least before 36) they grind on purple mobs.
A lot of the game is pretty much centered around style and personal preference. As a Tamer I use a ton of stamina animation cancelling dodges and such. So I use full zereth while someone who is more mana constrained might gem in mana and run tar/heve or something.
Definitely more about adopting equipment around what your play style dictates.
I'm playing fashion souls and running Zereth on my Valkyrie just because it's the only armor set that looks good for them. If they ever release a costume that simultaneously has pants and looks cool, then I might be able to consider switching to a different set.
I won't know how behind the curve I'll be until I get into some of the PvP, but it seems like just overall gear reinforcement level and personal skill will be the biggest factors over the actual armor set itself.
Argh I wouldn't mind these nightly disconnects except they keep messing with my energy regen. I really wish at least the last character you log off on would continue to regen at online rates.... I've got ore to smelt and beer to make!

Just start fishing and walk away -- if you don't input anything it will eventually reel in a fish and re-cast automatically.
To fish you just need to equip a fishing rod (sold by fishing vendors in most major towns) approach a body of water, and press space.

So I got this game, partly because of you monsters posting in the screenshot thread. I am deeply unsure of a lot of things in the game, trying my best to learn. Basically I'm trying out a few different classes and I have no idea what I am doing. It's been interesting!
If there is room in the guild I'd appreciate a spot. Disclaimer is that I'm pretty casual about playing, tend to just solo stuff on my own, not on a whole lot, and not into pvp in MMOs. I know there is some guild salary thing but I don't want to just be some leech taking money out of the coffers.
But if that's alright and there is room, family name is Mudas. Thanks!

I managed to get some crystal thing while fishing. It sells for a good amount on the market. So now I am accumulating some wealth. Should be over 300k now? Still only level 16 on the witch but I have 3 pieces of Agerian (sorry if I spelled it wrong) armor and Talis shoes that make me move fast. Thus, everything is fast. I also bought some blue quality weapon a bit ago with a ton of AP. So basically I am OP as hell.
I guess now I work towards buying a new rod, then I dunno. I have no idea how to do anything else.

Yes, yes they do.

The grunil is good because the set bonus is small so you can easily swap in the boss armor drops as you get them.
So I dunno. Boss drops/whale earrings are definitely straight upgrades. Other things are a bit more nebulous.
I've seen different houses with crafting that seem to be different specialties, but damned if I know what they are supposed to do. One of these days I'm going to need to look this all up I suppose.
Even if I could use it, I'd probably sell it for now :P
I'm just weighing my options while sticking with 3 taritas for now. I'm leaning towards agerian gloves right now.

Some monsters might seem really tanky but in reality you're probably just missing a lot!
Azwell and accuracy accessories ftw till 50 really. Or that +7 basteer from the quest.

This guy has done an insane amount of research on it. For PvP and PvE.

I don't know though, it just isn't explained. I don't think it's hurting me.
Going to roll with 3 taritas and agerian gloves for now, I don't feel the stamina from zereth boots gives me that much.
Definitely more about adopting equipment around what your play style dictates.
