Bolt/Jolt Wave
Whatever one is Spacebar +LMB
Roar
Your pet
And whatever is Q

At least while getting to 50. I might reset my pet points in put them more towards some CCs for PvP, but those other skills are fantastic. Bolt/Jolt will be your bread and butter.

Bolt wave and jolt wave mostly. Some points in roar, I got a point in trample as well.

Main thing is to keep points available to get bolt wave, jolt wave, and level up Heilang.

Well I spoke too soon. Had another freeze up this afternoon even though the firewall and antivirus were turned off.

Memory Test performed- Passed
Hardware Test performed- Passed

Still nothing in the logs showing what exactly caused everything to lockup.

I have 800 pearl left over - I'm not sure whether to splurge on another 8 slots ,or save it for now - annoyingly, I'm 100 short of getting a pet...

Well, I got home from my week in the Sierras last night and after playing for a week on a tiny 14-inch laptop screen that was (ahem) "liberated" from the company disposal pile - i.e. it's a 5 yerar old laptop with integrated graphics... over WiFi ... that was powered by a shared DSL line feeding about 50 homes...
being home was GORGEOUS!! I was getting 1-2 second lag for the last week, and being back on my super crisp 150MB connection, playing on a real 24-inch monitor, with zero input lag... I'd forgotten how much fun this game can be!!

Weird thing this morning. I had left my character AFK fishing for the night, and when I logged on early this morning before work, found that I had been kicked. I had heard others saying they were getting AFK-kicked last night, so wondered if this was a new thing. However, when I logged back on to see if I had accomplished anything, I noticed that half the channels on our server (Valencia 01 included) were 'Closed'. Dunno what's going on there... post-patch issues?

I don't think they kick people, but considering they just had a major patch, they might be bringing down servers temporarily for fixes.

Edit: Oh my, don't fish on someone elses boat when you go afk. I planned on coming back, but also never thought of the fact it might leave me in the middle of the ocean when I logged back in -_-

after many starts/restarts/hemming and hawing, I think i finally settled on a tamer (for now). Currently killing baby trees working my way towards pestering someone for a guild invite

The game is very generous toward alts it seems, so having other chars isn't a big deal.

Unfortunately my Valk has turned into a fishing bot. Which is what I have the most of right around now because I have been a little too busy to play. But its fine because I am getting a nice head start on money before I go out grinding my witch into a good level.

I am Arti 2 at fishing now. Not sure how great that is, but I am still just sitting in Velia doing it. It is simple so I stick to that. If I wanted to move on, I would have to learn how to node and make a boat and stuff. Still too poor for that I think.

Quick tip - the last patch added a chat filter function on the 'esc' menu, next to setting. If you add .com to it, it should filter out the majority of goldseller spam.

.... I question how you're arti2 when I've been fishing for like the better part of 16 days of playtime and I'm only pro1.

Whatever skill is after beginner, maybe I forgot the name.

Its basically all the character has been doing for 3 days straight.

I never moved on with the tutorial quests because I didn't read what they were. I just now saw I need to dry some fish. I should move on with that.

I just figured out nodes, so I will be trying to get some more advanced trading going with the fishing now.

My guess is they do it to avoid overwhelming people with the 100s of life skills quests, but they should really have the Black Spirit say something at the point where it directs the player to Velia at least. So many people missed this filter.

Yeah I had turned the quest filter to all early on, but after awhile I changed it to filter a number of quests.

I spent most of today finding the 160 eggs I need for the Easter furniture. That now done, I'm rewarding myself with actually questing ! Earned a few extra bag slots, increased energy, and my tamer can now summon her pet.

I also have 4 black spirit quests on the go, which I think I'll leave for tomorrow.

Seems like my Win 10 install got stuck in an update loop deal that prevents it from booting? I dunno, I am only running on an install of Win 7 on the older, non SSD harddrive. It is slow as shit, and stuff is screwing up all over.

So, the guild mission that required finding opals was fun. We couldn't find any on the beach, and rather than wait for someone with a boat I starting swimming for unkown islands. After nearly drowning (got down to about 100 hp as I had not brought many health potions), I finally discovered some. The island's official name was Dundee Island, but I think I want to claim it for my own. I promised everyone we'd have blackjack and hookers (I don't know about the rum... I'll do my best). Arthil was also kind enough to pick me up in his boat and give me a ride back to land.

The moral of this pointless post is... I really should get a boat (and this game is fun).

I'm thinking about switching out my Witch to another class because I'm just not feeling it. I like my Tamer, so maybe Valkyrie or Sorceress? How about the Ranger? So conflicted.
