We spent a total of ten months on researching and developing this game for PC users, two months of which were spent on rigorous testing. However, we have been made aware of the fact that some of our customers have been experiencing issues when playing the game.
According to the research we have done, it seems as if most of the issues are graphics related.
Right now, we at NISA and NIS are trying to gather as much information from all over the world as possible in order to pinpoint what is causing these problems.
Please use the comment section below and let us know what issues you are experiencing.
If you could provide your computer specs, and specific details of where and when the bug occurs, we can have a better understanding in pinpointing the issue.
We will do our absolute best to fix these issues as quickly as possible, and we will make sure that all your voices are heard by the dev team.
After being away from Assetto Corsa for so long because of the lack of a decent racing set up, it's been fantastic to get back into it. Hot-lapping feels so damn good in this game and I'm pleasantly surprised at how competent the AI is since I gave that particular aspect of the game a wide berth as it was in a rough Early Access state the last time I checked. The Lotus 98T is goddamn bananas to drive; how the hell did anyone race this thing!? I can barely keep it in a straight line when the boost comes on in the first 4 gears. The cockpit doesn't even come with a speedometer, just a boost gauge where the speedo usually is in a not-so-subtle way of implying "Yeah, this is more important to know than how fast you're going"
Favourite car so far? I'd have to say the BMW Z4 E98 surprisingly. There are some hotlap and quick race challenges with it early in the game and I love the balance and surprising amount of mechanical grip it has for a little roadster. Plenty of braking power for it's powerplant (maybe a bit much) makes it more forgiving than it's M3 bigger brother too. Very, very fun to drive.

Oh, I love me some classic F1 beasts.
The Lotus 25 is one of the cars I loved in the last pack: good power, slidey enough to remind me of the Formula-Vee of SCE, though just a tad more forgiving.
I've been thinking about my next playthrough of The Flame in the Flood, and I think I need to murder more things. I've been prioritizing looting and island and getting out as fast as I can, and avoiding the scary animals. I think if I make a point of killing and eating everything, I might do better.
yeah, if you want to get the better clothes, you pretty much have to start murdering things.
Biggest Flame in the Flood tip ever: The stuff you give to your dog will carry over to your next game, the next time you die. I can think of several things that I'm going to give that mutt as soon as I can:
The glass jar you start with, and any tools I can craft, like the knife or hammer. Even just making sure he carries the jar means that I can potentially have MANY jars to start a game.
it took me three games to figure this out and i only really discovered it after noticing "hey wait i had that stuff when i died but i just started a new game waittttttt". i like to focus more on having rarer supplies,
like salt/jerky, bandages, alcohol, medicine, sewing kits, or raft schematics/parts.

Some rumors have it that Xbox and Steam might do something together.
Could Microsoft add a lightweight gaming-centric Windows 10 OS to their box? Like making it not only an Xbox, but also a steambox? I mean that would add tens of thousands of PC games to its library, and even more modern PC games could be optimized for it quite easily. Like an XCOM 2 port or something. Too far fetched?

The other problem you have would be the price difference between copies of games available on both steam and for Xbox. Having that price differential would be an issue I would think.

Hopefully it's something to do with more cross-play between PC and Xbox One gamers, because that sort of thing is always fun. We've had easy cross-platform multiplayer between console and PC gamers since the Dreamcast, it's a shame that we've only had a small handful of games take advantage of it since then. Although we did have Final Fantasy XI, where you had cross platform multiplayer between two consoles and the PC (although PS2 and 360 support is stopping at the end of next month).

EDIT: Also, there's only like 7877 Windows PC games on Steam, so it's not really "tens of thousands"
Seriously? No GoG-like catalogue of old games too? Color me surprised. I'm not that into retro gaming, so I've never checked. I just naturally assumed it.

So Sunless Sea is the only game that works really well on my computer right now.
After more than a few hours with the game, I've lost every zee captain so far to outright terror. Most of the places on my map that are good for removing Terror are literally next to London, while everywhere that drives people craziest is on the opposite side of the map. Makes those long trips really difficult, but I'm honestly having a tough time making money in the game outside of trying to make repeated Sphinxstone runs - which I think are actually closing down. I'm a bit confused how you're supposed to make any kind of money in this game, which is making me paranoid because I could really use some better engines given how dispersed my map actually is.

God, they just laid down a load of bull.
I, I don't want to get into it on this one.
Its definitely your pretty typical "hey there! working on it" message but I find even that more comforting to complete radio silence. A small thing, I know but still.
Kind of feels like the smart thing would have been to try beta testing the game for a month or two with steam users first or something to that effect.
Especially those more inexperienced with the PC platform and don't want to outsource it. You only get to make one first impression.

I don't think much would've changed, it just seems they greatly underestimated the amount of combinations of systems and drivers . That and some weird mistakes (people are speculating that their controller polling loop is tied to their redraw loop, slowing it down.) which are less visible on consoles.
I really hope they can get their stuff together, because I really want this series on PC.

But then points lost for not following it through to the conclusion.
I saw a twitch streamer doing Superhot with the stream title "John Wick Simulator 2016", and I think that's the new best way to sell this game to people.
There was a steam sig here. It's gone now.

Superhot looks terrific.
Honestly, the more I see these unique games coming out on steam the less I miss playing on a console and some of their exclusives. Though I do appreciate that Superhot will be coming to console, which does mean a certain hacking conversation I've heard of will be especially hilarious.

Sadly they were $50,000 short on that stretch goal.
Hopefully it'll sell well enough that they could patch it in someday, even as paid-DLC.

The theories make little sense given we are seeing Microsoft being very aggressive in the coming months with their exclusive Win 10 games.
You don't need Windows 10 to stream via Steam. Windows 7, Linux, Mac can all take the stream. It's all just code.
All Microsoft would need to do is build an app that interfaces with Steam over a network.
