I kind of prefer them over the middle tide sequences.

Yeah, I kind of wish inking performance factored in still as another bonus, so there's an option of taking high paint options out and just cruising with 1000+ inked per game.

I tried playing this on the bus during my commute home on Friday. I realized that aiming with motion controls turned on might be a bit suboptimal with bumps in the road and such. For some reason it did not occur to me that my character would swing around 90 degrees every time the bus turned a corner.

Carbon Roller is pretty good this time around. That Auto-bomb is a strong tool.

i like rollers because i'm terrible at shooters.
EDIT: i like the splat roller way better, but that's because i'm better at crushing vs. flicking or actually using subweapons or specials.

i went into a match with 2 rollers and 2 brushes (!!!) versus two airguns, a tentatek, and a heavy gatling.
i prepared myself for the worst.
somehow we crushed them??!! i saw people do inhumanly good things with the brushes, it was incredible.
i can't even imagine being that good with the brush. ninjas, i tell you.

I'm not sure but I think the horn announcing a salmon boss gives you its direction. Need to play with headphones with the volume higher next time to see if this works.

Combat wise, I find the curling bomb launcher special to be pretty easy to avoid. It is slow, shows you where the player launching them is and is very loud so you can always know where to avoid it.

What I find it is best at is for the last 15 seconds of push because it creates a ton of ink if you do it right. It's really hard to clean up that much ink with so few seconds left

Apparently the food tickets in Hero Mode respawn if you exit and re-enter a level, so you can farm them indefinitely.

Shhh. We're keeping it a secret and farming them until Nintendo nerfs it. XD I assume they left it like this because of people using different weapons.

Yeah, I'm loving the Aerospray. Nearly as good coverage as a roller, plus it's easier to fight opponents that you blunder into.

The Aerospray is my go-to. Slipping into the opponent's third of the map with ten seconds on the clock and laying it down indiscriminately has won me more games than it should have

The first Aerospray just has a super-good kit, too. Suction Bomb and a Curling Bomb Launcher? So good.

Aerospray is just straight broken for turf war, and kinda outrageous for splat zones. you charge up your special and you will take back the zone every time.

i just don't understand why they gave the best coverage weapon in the game the best coverage special too.

Some info: Splatoon 2 creates game data on an amiibo you swipe even if you don't save gear to it. This prevents other players from getting the special amiibo gear. Imagine the surprise (and dismay) in my house with multiple consoles and users! However there's an easy but tedious workaround - you can navigate through system settings and delete the game data from an amiibo. This lets other people get the gear, which is permanently registered to your Splatoon 2 save and won't be lost.

yeah I remember seeing a link to the guy's github project for the python script that handles the writing. Apparently it takes over an hour to do... I had half a mind to see if I could improve his algorithm but then I remembered how bad I am at that

Correct. There's a script that turns I think the Pokken controller into a digital copier. It can take over an hour to finish, but it's all automated
