The first Genji was one of my favourite suprise ps2 games. Looked amazing for a ps2 game in areas, was really fluid combat and had a nice prograssive difficulty to let me get through it in a couple of hours and enjoy the experience for £10.

The sequel for the PS3 honestly looking past HD resolutions and all doesn't look that impressive, the animation and fluidity of the combat just doesn't exist. A horrible camera work to the point of you having to relay on you're radar rather than whats on screen to fight enemies made getting through the game a chore. Its an ok game but lacks the polish of the original. Definatly not a $60 game.

My coworker played the PS3 demo of Genji on our kiosk.

I kept asking him about the giant enemy crab, and if he had met it yet. Suddenly, the crab from the E3 demo jumped out of nowhere, and I screamed, "Giant Enemy Crab!"

He goes, "What do I do?!" Perfect setup.

"Hit its weakpoint for massive damage!"

    "Its weakpoint? Where?!"

"Its weakpoint! Hit it for massive damage!"

    "Yeah, but where is it?"

    "MASSIVE DAMAGE!!"

This went on for maybe five minutes before he finally found a way to kill it.

I can't for the life of me understand why someone would buy a game then come on the PA boards and ask if its good. Anyone else think thats just kind of retarded? If you weren't sure about the game you should of asked before you bought it. However since you already own it put it in the fucking machine and try it. Then come make a thread.

God forbid a kid likes something that isn't cool.

What does whether or not he likes it, or if it is or isn't cool have to do with my post? I was commenting on the fact that the kid went out and bought a game off a friends recommendation. Then instead of putting it in his machine and giving it a try he came here to ask for some sort of validation of his purchase. I wouldn't have said a word if he would have made a thread saying, "I just got game X and it sucks/is cool because of Y. What do you shitheads think?"

I was pretty much agreeing with you. Why the hell WOULD you play a game and then ask if it was good unless you were making sure your own opinion agreed with the popular masses?

Sorry I missread your post completely. Not sure what I was thinking.

Pretty much a straight-up beat-em up with good graphics (well, good for PS2... i'm surprised Genji 2 looks almost the same on the PS3).

The screens on the box don't look like anything special. The Genji demo on my PS3 looks nothing like them. Lemme take a look...

OK, when I fight Benkei on the bridge (G:DoS), I can't use my Amahagane counter attack. The square button lights next to me foot, but I can press it and nothing happened (well, I get knocked off my feet). Am I doing something wrong?
