Omeganaut Pre-Screening E-mail?

I just got an e-mail about pre-screening for Omeganauts directing me to a Google form, and I'm super confused because I don't have badges for East 2016. This e-mail specifically says I do, that I checked the Omeganaut box, and even gives me an attendee number. Anyone else get one of these? Is it even real?

How do I have an attendee number if I wasn't able to get tickets in time?

I'm super confused and sad now, I had come to terms with not getting tickets for PAX this year which was super upsetting.

Then I just randomly get an email that gives me excitement but dredges up all those sour feelings.

Can someone explain how or why this happens?

So, I just got an email from do-not-reply@paxsite.com (which seeeems legit) about signing up for the PAX East 2016 Omegathon and it included an Attendee ID number. The thing is I don't have tickets to PAX East this year (wish I did though), so figured I should be a good samaritan and report the error. Doesn't seem like a big deal, but PA might not want to go around giving random people someone else's Attendee ID number.

I hate this. My first year not going to PAX since I've been going in 2011 and I accepted that fact months ago but got this stupid e-mail and I thought "maybe I was able to register after all or someone bought one for me!" then I come here and realize it was a mistake. Fix it, PA!
